Question about the DLC Paints

For those of you that have the paint pack I have a quick question I hope you can answer. Do you get an unlimited amount of the new paints or only one of each colour? For them costing real money we better get an unlimited amount of them.

1 of each. Unless you are absolutely positive you want a specific car in one of those colors it is probably not advisable to use them.
 
Does anyone know if you can buy them more than once? Im going to have some PSN money left over so thats probably what Ill spend it on.

What was the answer? Either way this is rediculous. There should be unlimited for those paints as we are PAYING REAL MONEY for them. I agree that they should not be traded or duped but common... 1 of each? Thats a rip off.

There's a thread about it on the Q&A page. Some people have successfully purchased the paint pack twice.
 
Give me a proper paint preview, preferably with rim paint as well, and I could tolerate one time use/random/etc paint rules. I know I can quit the game before leaving the paint shop...should I have to? I am very picky with paint combos and I think that paint blob preview ameoba thing is ridiculous and useless.
 
That's a huge ripp-off. If you spend real money on these stupid paint chips, you should own that color, and be able to paint evey car in the garage that color for all eternity. Wow, Kaz is turning greedy in his old age.
 
You know, if instead of getting the same 100 paints each time, you'd at least be able to choose 100 paints from the given selection, that wouldn't be so bad. But having to pay A$ 3.45 each, if all you want is a specific paint chip, is way too expensive.
 
anyone tried to paint a car with one of the DLC colours and send it to another account? I wonder if we would receive the paint or it would be like the mclaren and viper colour that we don't get.

You'd get the car, and if you do get a chip, you get the original chip the car came in, not the DLC paint chip you've used to paint it. And was it confirmed yet that the car at least stays painted in the DLC paint, even if the recipient doesn't have the DLC?

I agree with you but IRL the 'paint blob preview amoeba thing' is what all automotive paint companies use to showcase their colour range.
Check out DuPont or HOK's websites and you'll see that they're actually quite good. Shows how the light will reflect over certain curves ands angles. ;-)

That is actually not quite true. Paint your car, and if you don't like it - just quit the game BEFORE leaving "the painter". The game only saves when you leave "the painter". This way you can try many different paints on a car, and you will only loose the one you eventually decide to put on it. I do it often.

I do it often as well. It takes time. During this downtime I like to brush my mullet but.....

I'd rather not.
(no I do not have a mullet)

..takes time? You can try as many paints as you want on the car before quitting, and then just start up the game again and paint your car with the colour you like. It doesn't take much time.

K. You win then. Now I don't want a preview function in my game. I'd like to close it and reopen it repeatedly. And I never get new paints, try some, go get more, try them. I like your way better, more pee breaks. Night mate.




Speaking for myself, and myself only, I would very much like a paint preview.

LOL :-) . Of course it would be much better if we could preview many paints ON (!!) a car in-game and only loose the one you decide to use, as in 99.99% of other racing games, but we can't do that, so this is a good workaround. It is 100 times better than the little paint preview thing :-) .

I'll concede that. I was thrilled when I learned I could "preview" with the workaround. Wouldn't you like a preview like the ones we get in the dealerships..with the different lighting options?

I don't. I just gave my opinion and you've spent a few posts now parsing it. ;)
 
I 100% agree with the fact that we spent real money for these colours so we should get an unlimited amount of every one of them. And If we cant at least let us dupe them with other accounts that have also purchased the pack.
