Hey everybody!

I have been trying to finish this race for like 1 whole day! Trying new cars, different ways, but nothing works..!

Ive bought the Chaparral 2J lately even, since I found everybody saying it works with it, but still! got 5th position.. -.-

So, Please if somebody got a way to win, Share it with me :)!

Thank you!

*EDIT* The best winning strategy is using Chaparral 2J with SS and 242MPH max speed, Personally bob didn't want to pit in, neither I gave order to. So, I wont by a margin of 25 seconds.

I guess that is the best combo for this race!

Are you actually going through and finishing the race with the 2J? At the start of the race it looks as if it doesnt have it in it but as the race gets wetter and wetter it becomes the best in the field, being able to put in laps 10-15 seconds faster than the next fastest car. As long as its got a high rpm turbo in it and the transmission altered to 400ish, it should be fine, some coaching wouldnt hurt either.

Yea I got high RPM turbo and transmission altered to 249 MPH (I think aprox. 400KMH)
Am gonna try again, thought I had a question.. should I pit in or not?
I dont know where I've read that I shouldnt ;O

What's your driver's level?

36 and 33

*EDIT* Am going to try again, Using sports soft

I pitted a lap after everyone else did and changed to racing intermediates, didn't have to pit for the rest of the race so it was a pretty big win. This was with my 2J btw. Haven't tried doing the race on sports softs, will do that after I'm done with 24H Nurburgring

At the moment I am trying to race on sports soft, if it didnt work I will try your way. I dont know I've been told that with sports soft on, I can finish the whole race without pitting in!

By the way what is your driver level?

I tried it with my Mazda 787B & Audi Race Car 03, best was with the Audi with a 5th place.

But will try with the 2J race car, sounds like its "THE CAR" to win with

I used 1 level 40 driver in a 2J on sport soft and didn't pit once and won by 19 seconds

Yea, am doing it now. Using a Lvl 37 BOB, So far am first since 4th lap (now in 8th lap) they started to come closer to me, but next lap they will pit in while I wont so I think I will win with a gap of... like mhmmm 20second~ or such

2J w/ sports soft is the one for it! Even bob didn't pit, So I've done nothing since the start except watching..! and in the next 2 laps if it wanted to pit in I will cancel, Since the tires are good so far

I done it with a BMW V12 LMR level 33 bob and level 29 bob, Started with my level 33 driver on racing hard tyres and pitted at the end of lap 2 to switch to rain inters (no fuel), then pitted again at the end of lap 6 for a new set of inters (no fuel) and a driver change, slowly worked my way up the pack then by the end of lap 9 all the AI ahead of me pitted for tyres and fuel this alowed me to leap frog all of them to get in first place and nurse the car home for the last lap with about a 20 second lead that droped to about 5 seconds by the finish (rear tyres had about 1 mm of life left as i crossed the line ).

This took me alot of trys though, and a lot of driver management keeping his mood in the right area if I just let him drive by himself his pace would drop off hugely.

I've won it once in a Bentley - I've explained in another thread (copied below), but basically, pit one lap after everyone else, and then stay out keeping the inters in good condition.

Won on the second time with a Bentley Speed 8
reduced height, and took off 10% aero front and rear, minimum weight, reduced power to 700pp, and geared to 230mph (which wasn't quite enough)

With only one pit stop -
Used 2 Bobs, Level 37 (who is fast and a bit wild) and then a calmer Level 35

Bob 1 on RH, kept in the red throughout his stint, and got upto 4th
pitted the lap after everyone else and came out in about 9th (for inters and 10 litres of fuel)

Overtook the 905 Peugeot, and then kept BOBs pace down to about 70%,
kept up with the frontrunners,

as daylight returns overtake a few who have used up their tyres, with 2 to go I increased the pace, to catch up with the leading pack
at the end of lap 9 - everyone else pits,

then spent the rest of the last lap maintaining Bobs pace, won by 5 seconds, with inters with very little left on them!

I just finished the race!
My timing is: 40:22:323!
the 2nd is 25 seconds behind me!
I seriously never thought that this 650PP 2J would win this race with a 25seconds lead, While all the other cars I bought with 700PP lost the race badly!

Anyway, for anybody that is going to do this race, the key to winning in relaxation is the 2J Chaparral ofcourse with sports soft tires, at the start you may think you will not win! But! by the end of the race you will be winning with 25seconds lead!!!

This car is amazing !!

*EDIT* I've done nothing, except increasing pace from while to while.

Yup. I used 1 L25 driver in the 2J on SS, never pitted (didn't even have to cancel any pit-in messages - none came up!), and won by around 30 seconds.

Le Sarthe definitely CAN be done! :)

Yup after using 2J on SS, diffidently agreed!
Trying again with lower brakes balance 3/3, I think it will go better

Thanks for the help! thought tried that way, I dont know why it didnt work..!
maybe because my driver was level 36

Some people on the boards did it with with lvl 12, 20, 28, 32, 35 drivers, so to be honest, you should be fine with a lvl 36 driver.

If you want to be safe, bring another bob, when you'll pit at the end of the 8th lap, change your driver. He'll have full bars of strenght! 👍

Going to try it again!
Wouldnt it be better with SS also? Like try to make it without pit stops or maybe 1 only instead of 2, Like 2J

Oh well. I didn't try that way. I just went the ''safe'' way because it's a 40mins event. To be honest, I'll grind money on Spa. I pit at the end of the 2nd, and 8th lap. It's totally safe that way.

Using RH and then Inter until the end!

Agreed! Spa is much better of course. This one is 40mins with high stress, While Spa is 25mins with total no stress I just start the race and the rest is done by bob!

Even thought in 2J it is easy, you still have to make him hot from while to while! otherwise AI will catch up with you!

As I saw on the boards, using the 2J doesn't seem to be a real challenge.

I thought I was the only one using the GT-ONE but I saw after posting my results that someone else was using it also :(

This seasonal is nice :) if it was to easy it would suck , id rather try 10 times than easy win 10 times.

My second attemt worked , first was with the Audi R8 Race Car (Audi PlayStation Team ORECA) '05 and i failed :) .
Now i used the Audi R8 Race Car '01 , no tuning just power down for 700pp.

Started on race hard , End of lap 2 i pit (together with one car (787b)) for race intermediates.just telling my bob to speed up and overtake all the time.
At end of lap 6 i pitted again (intermediates). the last 2 laps i tell my bob to take it easy to conserve rear tyres.
Dont know exact times but last lap = if i enterd the second chicane on streigt the rest was exiting the first one.

Running 6th and evertaking all in the last lap pitstop :P.

(i think it would been better to pitted at and of lap 7)
but wat the hell it worked :P.

Thought I'd try detuning a Ferrari F1 2007 to 700 pp and use it for this race. I got it down to the pp limit and picked my best level 40 to drive it. Unfortunatly the other cars all showed up as non detuned F1 2007's and I was gonna lose by atleast a couple of laps. I guess a f1 can only race other f1's.

My drivers were near 37 the first time I won, now they're both 38.

I guess the strategy is: no matter what you do, do not pit in the same lap as the others. Stop a lap before or after and allow you Bob some room to race by himself.

Just won it with a level 38 driver in a 2J with the mid rpm turbo and sports softs. lots of babysitting. Bob managed to wreck on lap 8 right after taking the lead. Still managed a 23 second win once the car he was racing hit the pits.

Still kinda shocked about using the Ferrari F1 2007 causing the whole field to be the same car only without the 700pp handicap.

I managed first place in a Audi R8, no mods and top speed set at 240mph. Level 40 bob and no prompting from me during the race. Must be down to the way I trained Bob!

Just won in the Audi R8. Started on Racing hards and pitted lap 3. Stayed on inters for the remainder. Tyres totally gone at the back by the last quarter of lap 10, winning margin 0.753 seconds. My closest ever B spec finish :D

How are people grinding Spa? Winning with no input seems to be evading me!
