Welcome to the first season of gtplanet's Blancpain Endurance Series! Every example of endurance racing delivers the same idea: strategy, speed, and reliability are the three keys to success. I am glad you have shown interest!

All races are going to be held on Saturdays at 1:00 PM US Eastern Time in an online lobby. However, it will not be every Saturday, just a Saturday I can host the race. Everyone from around the world can enter, as long as they are serious about racing and not out on track to have a time at wrecking somebody.

Only 2 of the same car can be used in a race. Use the following sheet as a guide to what cars you can purchase.

PENALTIES AND RACING CONDUCT​

Do not swerve across the racing line to break a draft (+5 seconds per occasion)
Do not cross the white line upon exiting the pit (+5 seconds per occasion)
You must use the medium racing compound in on at least 2 stints (you can use Racing Soft or Hard as many times as you need after that (+30 seconds)
Do not stop out on track, only in the pit lane (+10 seconds)
You must not dive-bomb or purposely hit another car forcefully (+60 seconds per occasion)
You must not allow all four wheels off the racing line unless it is to your disadvantage (i.e. do not cut chicanes, etc.) (+5 seconds per occasion)

I have yet to test all of the cars fully, but I think they are about as equal as I can get them. :sly:

Nice that a few people are interested... Paul - where's your registration?
 
I allways nice to test cars first currnetly 2:20am and my wheel and Ps3 are off for the night. Tomorrow I have all day free to get some testing done and since I know spa well it wont take me long I garantee ill be signed up before 3pm GMT ;). (7-8 hours sleep 10-11am so maybe sooner ;))
 
Ahh, I picked the AM over sheer looks. Seeing as though these are true endurance races there will be more pit stops and tire conservation going on :)

Would be cool if we could add Gran Turismo sun strips to the windshields for this tourny.
 
Btw you got the customised gear ratios need to get 205mph in each car? As I found GT5 to be wierd with ratios to get your desired speed you need to be set in the blue writing as 6-7mph higher (211-212) then youll top out at 205mph.

I'm surprised there isn't a Corvette in the list of cars?

BTW - I figured since Corvettes aren't in the actual series, I wouldn't add them in. Plus, I think they are a little overused in tournaments like this. :indiff:
 
Yeah its funny how the endurance series and the GT series are all different but run together. No corvettes in the Blancpain but there is in the FIA. Just like how the BMW Z4's ...hey maybe there's a car to consider. Unless your car choice is final.

Viper's are sometimes run in enduros too. Was in Dubai this year ^^
 
Don't they run the Murcielago and not the Gallardo in the BlancPain series, or is that just FIA GT1?

This looks interesting. Don't have time for another series right now, but I'm going to follow you guys and see if I can join in later.

One more thing, have you tested how the cars compare to each other? It seems to me the M3 has an unfair HP advantage.

Blancpain also runs Gallardos, yes. So does the FIA in GT3. They even still run scuderias against italias.

EDIT: has this series been forgotten?

you can count me in, as a 'huge fan' of the real life BEC this is my cup of tea.
Also running in the Blancpain is BMW Z4 GT3, and there will be a new DODGE Viper this year aswell, no confirmation yet on the Camaro GT3 who might be new to the series aswell.

Edit ; the BMW M3 is not used in the BEC GT3, last year there were two BMW's M3 but they were in GT4 class.... togheter with the Lotus Evora.

It depends on the dates for me. If I can race, you can put me down under Mclaren. My secind choice is Aston Martin. 👍
