Welcome to the WRC Academy, the first step on the World Rally Championship ladder and the perfect place to hone your rally skills. This is a spec series so all participants will use the same car, the Suzuki Swift Sport '07; a light and nimble hatchback which is predictable and easy to drive on the asphalt but dancing it across the gravel and snow requires a degree of skill and quick reactions. The rallies will take place over one week, in which time you will have to have your timed stages observed at a time of your choice, as long as a steward can observe your run at that time. If you are interested in joining the series see below for more details and simply sign up with your PSN name.

Rally Points
1st - 50 points
2nd - 36 points
3rd - 30 points
4th - 24 points
5th - 20 points
6th - 16 points
7th - 12 points
8th - 8 points
9th - 4 points
10th - 2 points

These are awarded at the end of each rally. If you have the lowest overall time through all three stages you will be awarded the maximum 50 points. This will then be added to your points from the individual stages.

Individual Stage Points
1st - 25 points
2nd - 18 points
3rd - 15 points
4th - 12 points
5th - 10 points
6th - 8 points
7th - 6 points
8th - 4 points
9th - 2 points
10th - 1 point

These are awarded for SS1, SS2 and the power stage individually. For example if you were fastest in all three stages you would be awarded 75 points (+ the 3 points for being fastest in the power stage)

Power Stage Bonus
1st - 10 points
2nd - 9 points
3rd - 8 points
4th - 7 points

You must arrange a time during the rally week with one of the stewards listed below, when you can get into a room with them as your timed runs must be observed by a steward. Times posted without a steward present will be null and void. If you don't have time to do all of your stages at once, you can arrange multiple sessions during the rally week with the stewards. You have one shot and one shot only at each stage so make it count! Times must be submitted by stewards in the following format:

Steward - TomMcD / Tom_97_COD (e.g)

Driver - akmuq / GTP_akmuq (e.g)
SS1 - 2:34.567
SS2 - 4:12.987
PS - 1:12.354

Room Settings

ASM, TCS, SRF & Active Steering - OFF
All Other Assists - Unrestricted
Grip Reduction - Real
Slipstream - Weak
Tyre Wear & Fuel - ON
Damage - Heavy
Start - Standing with False Start Check
Laps - Dependent on stage length

I'd be interested, make it the Suzuki Swift.;)

I've been testing with the Swift and it really is a fun rally car to drive, will most likely be that. Full aero parts, drive train upgrades and customisable parts, may up the bhp to around 220bhp (Upper limit of Super 1600 regs). :)

I would be in for this Tom, it is a shame there is. Of more rally/dirt events...

Awesome man, I agree completely. There's such a different skillset involved in this, you can be a horrific circuit driver but be amazing on the gravel for example.

Sounds good. I'll watch this thread.

Hope you'll incorporate RWD class aswell.

Probably not as the WRC-A runs hatches but I hope you'll join us anyway. There' nothing like this currently running on GTP 👍

Count me in for now.

Awesome, will keep an eye on this 👍
Another great car for rally is the Suzuki Capp RM, it is light enough, plus has a great rally motor(makes all of its power at a low rpm) and surprisingly quick around eiger for a FR car that makes 140 hp. Something to think about at least.

Also, sign me up. bdubclub / bdubclub.
Are these all custom tracks?

What tracks are what then..

I presume Eiger may have a bit to do with Finland..

Oh come on? I can get lost a mile from my own house but I know that Eiger is in Switzerland.:P

Name a Swiss event on the calendar then.

I mean for the tree's :)

Also like how the Spanish Rallye is where we were in Spain.

Nice work Tom. 👍

Well I'll be doing that in the next hour or so, ideas are...

Portugal - Toscana Gravel Forward (Day), Toscana Gravel Reverse (Night) & a Toscana Tarmac created Power Stage (Day)

Acropolis - Unsure

Finland - Chamonix Main (Full weather), Alaska created stage, Chamonix West Power Stage (No weather)

Germany - Eiger K Trail, Eiger Short Track (Dry), Nurburgring Nordschleife Power Stage (100% Wet/Night)

France - Liege created track, Another Liege created track, Cote d'Azure Power Stage

Spain - Toscana tarmac created (Day), Toscana tarmac created (Night), Circuito de Madrid Power Stage

I know Finland is synonymous with trees but it's the only feasible place I could put snow in.

You could use Monaco as the final event and do like head to head....

Its probably a bad idea

Could put trees in Greece? And Change Eiger and move a Tarmac Eiffel track to Germany? Along with a gravel of some sort?

I have the perfect Toscana Track for Spain. 4 minutes+ a lap, many off camber, blind turns, few straights.

Sure, I'll make Acropolis a mix of Eiger W & G trails and a short Toscana maybe? I'll replace Eiger short with an Eiffel track and I'll test out your Spain track 👍

I have exams too mate, my racing hardly takes up anytime as I rarely practice. Only ocassionally for IndyCar :) I'll stick you down.

I'll put it up when I'm next on, perhaps Thursday.

Hmmm, I do have a nice created Toscana track as well, named Targa Florio Part 2, long lap, lots of turns and a couple of long straights, anyone who has driven on it loved it, should be good for rally. I had a somewhat decent Mt.Aso track the other day but I don't think I saved it, Mt.Aso could be used for Acropolis?

Sure I'll test all of them out 👍

Acropolis can be a pick and mix; Eiger W, Mt Aso. and Toscana.

Also means Eiger W can be a German track as well 👍

Eiger K is going to be the German track, that thing is a beast. Eiger W for Acropolis is the short wooded one, two laps.

Nobody commented on the Nurburgring? :D

It's cause I don't wanna bring it up in case somebody tries to make you change.
