Despite the series being a bit small next to TOCA or the DCRL syndicate, the Suzuki Swifts definitely need some publicity now that they've finally kicked off again after a long wait filled by Furi's NASCAR series and DaxCobra's various attempts to gain more drivers.

Without further delay, let's see what our reporters have in store for us.

Race 1: Grand Valley East

Disaster nearly strikes in qualifying

A horrendous turn of events nearly caused a red flag in the qualifying session, but thankfully everyone got through without wrecks. It began when Carbonox was disturbed by Jackargent's pink paint scheme during the fast corner complex in the middle sector of the track. Thankfully, Carbonox was able to brake just in time to avoid contact with the man who is over three times his age.

Carbonox earns maiden win of the season

Following a close fight all the way to the chequered flag with DaxCobra, Carbonox crossed the line in first to capture the first win of the season. He had just stolen the pole point from Dax on his final hotlap with about 10 seconds to go in qualifying, so that must have hurt Dax's feelings and cause him to lose. However, some conspiracy theorists believe that the slipstream was way too strong, which caused Dax to lose, even though he was the one in Carbonox's slipstream on the final stretch. More updates to come as long as the theorists are first found again.

DaxCobra wins in dominative style at Race 2

With the disappointment of Race 1 having struck, DaxCobra hung on to take the win in Race 2 to capture the championship lead, having the fastest lap in both of the races to strengthen it in the process. PaulMac finished second after missing the first race due to a timezone conflict, followed by Chrisjohnson, Flying_Fox and Carbonox, who was involved in numerous crashes with other cars. Our reporters found DaxCobra after the race and interviewed him, but couldn't hear much due to all the moaning. However, they were able to make out some mumbling about stinky penguins.

Defending champion nowhere to be seen

Neljack, the only Swift champion so far who is also known for repeatedly finishing in 2nd place while grabbing the fastest lap due to drafting, did not make it for the season opener as he visited a movie theater to watch American Pie. Eyewitnesses claim that he walked in with two bags of crisps, a pizza and a 2 litre bottle of Coca-Cola. In addition, another successful driver from last season, GTP_akmuq, was seen accompanying him. Akmuq had also brought in his own snacks, which were a boiled egg and a glass halfway filled with healthy rainwater.

Had a great race 1 and a meh race 2.
Will be back for more next week, time permitting.

DaxCobra promoted to steward

Due to difficulties in enforcing everything alone, Carbonox recently chose DaxCobra to accompany him as a steward. He is using caution though, because of the constant danger of DaxCobra taking over the series and adding Monaco, Tsukuba, Spa, Le Mans and Nürburgring 24h into the calendar.

The point is, DaxCobra will now be able to use his power in handing penalties alongside the penguin, so be nice to him, except when he moans. In those times it's not worth it to try and be nice.

Patience now, tomorrow is a better day for examining the race, Dax should be able to do the same. ;)

Akmuq catches injury in Autumn Ring

A shocking change occurred in the 2nd race for Autumn Ring when GTP_akmuq, who was fighting for a podium finish, suddenly hit his head on the steering wheel and was forced to surrender, going off the course. Later, his stopped car was hit by the official troll of the series, haitch40, but he suffered no further injury and eventually made his way back into the pits.
