Sergio going off early on may have helped Max win in the end in a way as he got in Lando's way more. If I was McLaren, I would double check track limits. Great job by Max in virtual and real. Looks like it can be a great season this year!

Surprising lack of action on a track with 100% SC record.

Max eeked that out. Good drive.

I hoped that the McLarens had more pace to put both cars on the podium with a possible win. Lando was so close! Bummed that Piastri couldn't catch Charles, after looking so quick. Still a good result.

Dismal day for Albon and Alonso.

edit: Ooh, nice to see the Tifosi mob the track. 🥰

What I'll take from this race is that Max and Red Bull will feel like they don't have the luxury out front anymore. Other drivers/teams will be there to challenge them. I'm betting if Lando had a couple more laps, he probably would have got him. No doubt that Max and Red Bull will be champions for the season but at least every race won't be a Sunday cruise at the front like last year.

Hopefully, it doesn't take 90% of the race for the challenge to Red Bull to occur, either, but Lando did attribute their slow start to what kept him from getting a little bit closer.
