Initial D mountain passes

Is it just me that thinks that GT6 needs some japonese montains for us to ride? Every time i see initial D i think about GT and how awesome it would be to race in those places. Nobody agrees? Sorry for bad english.

And yes, replicas of Akina, Myogi etc would be a great addition.
But the one thing that they can't do is water it down like Forza did.
When I race at the downhill on Forza, the track is WAY too wide, it should be about half the width it is now.
 
Touge would be fantastic.

For full realism mode they should have a mode on Touge tracks where a large commercial truck goes up the road and can easily send you careening off into the abyss for the lulz.
 
Somehow I think Deep Forest Raceway looks a bit like the mountain road in Initial D :odd:

But yes, I agree, I'd love to see winding mountain roads in GT6, even if they're only one-way (i.e. not in a circuit's form). If they're 'equipped' with Day/Night Transition, that'll be even better! :drool:
 
you should really try rfactor then, because I don't think realistic ones will be on GT6 (potential legal issues)
 
I think that Mt. Haruna road would be pretty good addition to the track listing, getting the naming rights might be another issue but would love to have a play to the track.
 
This would be an good excuse to bring in more Japanese cars such as Nissans and Mazdas. It's a good idea for the wrong reasons!
 
One thing that makes me jealous of Forza and dissapointed in GT5 is the lack of extreme "street experience". Im not talking about boring drag bridges or w/e.

GT5 does not offer a whole lot if any street tracks that really test racers skill and suspecion quality (i dont wanna sound cliche) on downhil or uphill narrow roads, and it doesnt HAVE to be Japan. Unfortunately Forza Team really did their homework, im just getting tited of Nur..

Atleast 4 mountain Passes, a MUST.
 
Yes, mountain passes are a must as they're great for drifting, racing, and cruising.

Along with modifying the course maker to adapt to P2P mountain passes, hopefully PD will include a few roads from real-life, since there's a plethora of very good ones around the world. Hell, I would love to have those roads featured in the latest Cadillac commercials. This is the Chinese one and it's incredible.

People People listin, all we need is a very good track creator, i would rather PD spend less times on creating new tracks, and more time on supporting a great editor for evryone to use, The ability to choose Simple or Advanced building method, and the advanced would have a real time track creator with which you could build evry corner how you want, high low, degrees of pitch , narrow ,wide, types of surfaces , and then the selection of all kind of bumps in road and put them exactly where you want it, edge of the road to be a ditch, level grass, or a fence , whats in the surrounding ,trees , a city, water, high mountains and so on,i mean mod nation racers can do it , the ability to create everyones dreams, and share with people online.

Please, tell me that there is someone who agrees with me?or Partially?

Isn't there a mountain passage somewhere in the new GT5 intro vid?

Not sure if I remember right....
 
They could do a hybrid mountain pass that has a separate two lane road going up and down, with two SSR7-like turn around points at the bottom and top where the roads re-connect.

Mainly taking inspiration from I-17 here in Arizona, which has some impressive elevation change for a freeway and splits the traffic into two separate roads. A GT mountain pass could essentially take that idea and apply it to a Japanese mountain for "circuit" racing.

Google earth doesn't really do it justice in 3D mode.

I would love to see mt. haruna, even if it's a somewhat-racetrack configuration, like : a cone at the end of the course where you take a u-turn and go uphill :drool:

There's no need to create fantasy mountain passes when there are ....well, thousands around the world. Also it defeats the whole concept.

As I said, I think they won't be in GT6, but I'd love seeing the Gunma Sports Center (and everything that's featured in best motoring really) and haruna/akina.

There's no need to create fantasy race tracks when there are there thousands around the world, either. Yet they do.

I watched the video for that Gunma Sports Center, and I don't know if it's the way the camera was set up in the cars, but it seems extremely narrow and unsuitable for anything except time trials.
