Duration: Approximately 1 hour ; Race Length: Approximately 45 minutes

Car Regulations:
Jensen Interceptor MkIII '74
Tuning Prohibited, stock tires (sports hard)
Allowed: oil change, engine rebuild, chassis restoration, wheel rims, & paint

Track:
16 laps @ Nürburgring GP/F

Race Procedure:
Scheduled time is arrival time to begin qualifying
15 minute qualifying duration (approximately time for 3-4 timed laps)
all cars stay on track until race start to preserve position
Grid Start, Fastest First
1 Mandatory Pit Stop

Race Regulations:
All aids off except ABS (driver's choice)
tire wear on
damage heavy
slipstream weak
grip real
penalty off
boost off
visible damage off

Rules:
GTP OLR Rules

• Please familiarize yourself with these rules prior to the event.
• You are expected to behave like sporting gentlemen at all times. Dirty driving is absolutely forbidden.
• If you cause a contact, you must make contact concessions. ie: no bump-passing
• Failure to make contact concessions will result in a post-race penalty concession. (ie: you will be placed below that racer in the results)
• Caution must be exercised when re-entering the track after an off-road excursion caused by any reason.
• Carless driving, recklessness, & aggressive risky maneuvers may result in post-race penalties, and will certainly result in your fellow racers being ill tempered.
• Retaliation, "payback", & monkey-see-monkey-do rule flouting will not be tolerated.
• The in-game penalty system is switched to off to prevent ghosting, with the understanding that GTPlanet racers do not need the in-game penalty system to follow posted track rules. Shorting the track is strictly prohibited, (must have 2 wheels on the tarmac)
• In case of any incident involving a crash or rule violation, please review the replay before drawing conclusions. Note the time and location of the incident. Try dialogue with the other driver first with Private Messaging. You may report the incident via Private Messaging, with details, in a timely manner (ie: soon after the race), if warranted, so an appointed steward &/or the race director may review the incident.

Race will be hosted in the VCRC lounge,
add PSN: VCRC
Note: This account is just the club lounge account. It will rarely be signed on.
Get the FR in a.s.a.p. to assure acceptance in advance of racing.
In order to check the league lounge, you must click on the coffee cup,
and wait for the room content list to present.
No yellow people icon will show, even when the room is full.
Also please note that all club communication should be done through GTPlanet,
and not directed toward the PSN acct, as nobody checks messages there often, if at all.


Hint: It's definitely NOT a BMW.

In fact, about all it has to recommend it is a cool name, and some noise.

Excellent colour choice.

Well, I'm sure it will be. Of course now I feel compelled to make helpful suggestions along those lines.

There's the turquoise metallic that comes on the Celica 70.
Tacky... yet also pleasing somehow.

Wow, VCRC and MCRC are really getting back into business! I'll come.

I also would like some more reliable lap times if anyone can help out there, in order to set the laps. I don't at this point trust my lap times. (Took me awhile test driving just to find a track that this car was suitable upon!)

I ran some test laps in a car that needed fresh oil but the time felt good. A 2:28.8, figure 28.4 with clean oil.

I'm interested in this too, trying to get as much racing in as I can before the summer ends!

My Interceptor is Royal Blue.

It's kind of a pain that I'm going to have to break in all these cars, but worth it I think. 👍

I did last night couple test of laps and my lap times were round 2:30.

@ Dylansan : Apmaddock is right. If you get a zero miles car from the Online Dealership, it does NOT need to be broken in. It's pre-broken-in for you.

@ Apmaddock: I figured you had a schedule problem for this one after you said, "I'm always up for something oddball", but hadn't signed up for THIS.

RE: Setting the laps.
Going to do the math right now, based on carracerptp's estimate lap time.

I myself have not even gotten into 2:30 territory yet!
(And may never! )

I don't know what it is with this track, but if races at this track were held racing JUST sector 1, I would be winning races at this track more often!
Unfortunately, there's that last sector which I manage to exponentially squander away any time I made in sector 1.

Just ran a few laps and got a few 2:29.5's. I think the best I can get will be high 28's.

Last corner I think I'm losing quite a bit of time one. I can never get the line right at all, I just go straight to the inside then power out although it looks nothing like the optimum line.

Nah it's kind of beige and a colour you look at and think; Why would anybody in their sane mind look through a catalogue of colours and pick that one ?
