I have a question if you don't mind answering, how much did the materials cost? I have been looking for a low cost rig and thought this was a pretty neat rig.

Jogo- That is the best thing on DIY I have ever seen - that Steering wheel neck 'reminds' me of something :P

very nicely done just like what they ^^ said, man I wish 8020 desn't cost a fortune down here

Now that's really simple but nicely put together. I like it alot and curious as well.

Great rig Jogo, that 80/20 is very versatile. We are seeing some real cool rigs, especially coming from the iRacing forum. Your modular design is a real bonus, kudos on a fine job.

Really excellent man! You obviously put a lot of effort into the design.

I like that it's obviously very sturdy and yet not overbuilt. That keeps down the cost some, the weight and makes it simpler to move and get into and out of. Some of the rigs I see look like you'd need help getting into and out of! :D

I also like that they separate. The wheel and pedals portion would be perfect for situations where you don't have space for the full setup. Maybe later they want to add on the rest or do some custom stuff.

Thanks for sharing your work! I wish I had one... Since you have the software to do it, maybe you could offer your services? :D Just a thought.

Setup looks nice! You said you have limited space looking at your pictures I was wondering if you could add some rails on top of the pedal section (if they wouldn't be in way of seat) to be able to stack the seat on top of the pedal section while not in use. Thus reducing storage space maybe using some type of strap to keep it from falling off.

Really nice and well thought out, these aluminium profile rigs just keep getting better. Good job there.

That is a very nice rig mate. I'm currently looking around for my brother to get one and nothing ticks all the boxes without some customisation and in the end, doing something yourself even though theres a small premium means you get exactly what you're after and that's what you've been able to achieve!

p.s. I also noticed a supplier in Australia does the 8020 in Black, and for me I love my black..

dude can you share the link?👍👍 :D

Very nice indeed. I really like the clean solution for the wires and the inverted pedals.
Everything so simple and clean, but looks very solid.
I had something very similar in mind for building my second rig.

Nice design, creative and fine example of what is possible, excellent work.
Was it do you think more satisfying building to personal preference?

Jogo, is there any possible way to give the design plans out or did you do this from the top of your head?

I look at it daily now, there is nothing like it on the market, I love how its all neat and tidy,
where did you get the seat?
does the seat move backwards?

Looks great, solid and versatile with a very small storage footprint as well I think. Great work indeed. 👍
Shame 80/20 is so expensive though to get in the Netherlands. At least what I have heard from HoiHman. Though whenever I decide to replace my rSeat, I think I will look at this wonderful stuff again. It's just like Lego/Mecano. :D

It took some while to take in your rig fully, but dear me, you've done a very fine job there! I'm quite envious of your setup, both in terms of looks and the rather good looking trade-off between rigidity and ease of packing away the thing when space is needed for other social activities.

I do fancy your pedal setup because it's one of the things I'm not entirely happy with with my own Wheelstand at the moment.

All things considering, and factoring in the "I did this with my bare hands" feeling, I'd say it's worth every penny you spent. Very well done indeed!

Also, interesting to learn you might want to switch to PC sims (and triple monitors). Not to derail this thread, but a (relatively cheap) 3D projector has added a whole new dimension to GT5 for me and I hardly miss the triple screen setup I originally planed for.

To stay on topic: bravo! Wouldn't mind some shots of your rig "in action"!
