Which Mercedes-Benz did you buy?

You had to buy one, because you couldn't win one unless you bought one.

SLK was the lightest, but least powerful.

CLK55 was the "middle one" in terms of power and weight.

And the CL600 was the newbie to the GT series; very powerful, but weighed quite a bit.

Or did you cheat? (You bought the CLK Touring Car from someone who'd already passed the Silver Arrow races.)

So which was it?

Eh, do which one would you buy if you couldn't win any, and had to buy it an only chose one? If thats it, then the CLK touring car.

No, that's my question...which did you buy? It's a simple question, because it's impossible to pass the game 100% without buying a Benz.

I think I bought the SLK 230 and won the other three. I like them all...but none are particular favorites.

My latest restart I bought the CLK 55. I figured, I'd win the SLK and the CLK. Plus I truly hate the way the CLK 600 handles, even modded.

Uh, would you be referring to the CL600?

(Small difference in name, big difference in cars!)

I like the CLK the most, because it's easily one of the most beautiful cars ever produced (a black CLK55 AMG, previous generation model, with block rims... oh, so drool-worthy...), it has pretty good handling, and pretty good power. The SLK's design is old and it's waaaay lacking in power, and the CL is a barge on wheels.

I bought the slk won everything else and then when I was finished with the game I bought them all except the clk which I sold to my friend.

Take it to TM (II) after you've established your fastest time in the CLK.
Do what ever you want to beat that time in the CL600. Only stipulation is you can only use up to T5's and NO ASM or TCS.
Then tell me how much you like the CL.
(Hint) TM will feel like you're trying to thread a needle with a rope!)
Trust me, you'll learn to hate the CL after about 15 minutes.
O BTW Sage you are correct I mean the CL.

I recently rediscovered the CLK55, after nearly a year and a half of seeing it collecting dust at the bottom of my garage. It's really, really fun to drive. Sideways when you want it, and excellent response coming out of the corners, too.

I never tried the SLK, so i can't comment on it, and the less i say about the CL600, the better it is. CLK DTM is in a league of its own, obviously. It took me so far down the game, it's a personal favorite.

Unfortunately, the Kompressor in GT3 isn't as good as I thought it would be, so I went with a little more beef. CLK55

I made the mistake and went cheap. Bought the SLK230 and modded it enough to win the Merc Challenge. Shoulda bought the 55. For the same reason as Gil.

Yeah, ditto. I bought an SLK figuring it was the cheap way to go;, then by the time it was modded enough to win, it would have been more cost-effective to buy the CLK55 instead. And, as a plus, I'd have 2 different cars instead of a duplicate SLK which I never liked all that much anyway.

You mean which one did I buy first, I bought the CL600. I you could win an SLK 230 in a cup other than the Silver arrow cup though, and you didn't need a Benz to win it, you didn't have to buy any Benz's to win the game, just win 2 of them.

I bought the CLK55, for 2 reasons.

Buying the SLK 230 is a waste because you win one at the end of that same Silver Aroow championship.

You don't win a CLK55 anywhere else in the game and it is a very capable car, and doesnt have any problem beating the field mostly made up of SLK's and a few CL600's which dont have a chance. I do believe there is another CLK55 in there, but he sucks.

I got the SLK early on with ambitions to use it on both the Silver Arrow and roadster races... that didn't happen. I garaged it with a good riddance after I beat the Silver Arrow. If I had to do it again, it'd be the CL55. Size and power-wise, that thing is a monster fully upgraded... its like a race modified Sherman tank... or something. :odd:
