I've been thinking about all that's happened in the past 3 years that I've been here. So Why can't everone relive their best/funniest/saddest/etc times at GTP.

Dudebusta in general. My god was he a laugh. I wonder where he is now?
I almost miss that picture of him with that fish and his pants nearly to his ankles. man, good times.

The HMRCWG Thread. Most hated it. I didn't. It was where most of the old members really got to know eachother. And there was that guy that came for about a week, with an S2000. And then left for a few months, and came back half dead from crashing it.
Many of my sleepless nights were spent in the HMRCWG.

Punkrock had his Integra Type R stolen while me and NocturnalPS were talking to him in a chat. "WHO'S DAMN ALARM IS GOING OFF. BRB lemme check" ..... "Holy **** someone just stole my car"

The day the GTP Chat started and ended. Jordan made a Chat. based on Java. and it had noises.
Everyone messed around with the noises. Jordan got rid of it. It lasted... maybe an hour.

Doug's crashed cars. One of his first threads were about him crashing his Suburban. About a year later he crashes a Cadilac rental car into a Bus in NY. Sues NY Transit, wins, got rich. Bought about 30 cars between then and now.

Rumple's rich ass dad and his Viper and Aston Martin and whatever the hell else he had. I still don't believe him.

Powerman, Darin's first form. What an Idiot. Atleast when he changed names he gained a little bit of common sense. But still. BANNED.

The SCGT GTP crew. I got abuncha people to play SCGT together. and it was good. Right PR? :P Then followed with LFS and Doug's constant brake checking me, and his laggy 56k. And then Jordan tried to play LFS and my comp crashed as soon as he connected. Rather funny.

That's all I can really think of now. Thats the memories that really stick out the most after being here for 3 years. I'm sure theres more, but I'm glad to be remembering any of this. GTP has really made a difference in my life (no matter how lame that really sounds) since I've been here.

I kind of liked my position in the Pass and 'll Foundation, and all the 'Hard!' references. And I enjoyed meeting Der Alta after spanking F1man for being a dumbass. That's become one of my better online friendships.

The saddest times were when Sandstorm and Darin were banned, I miss them ever so much, even though I talk to them on MSN...
Funniest times, reading the funny things Rumple foreskin said.
Best part, joining GTP and meeting heaps of uh...cool people.

I forgot all about Pass and 'll. hard!

Holy crud, I was just thinking of starting a thread exactly like this yesterday night! We're psychopathic! Ha.

Anyway, remember car clubs? There were like friggin' thirty of them scattered throughout the forums, and everyone was clamoring to get as many club emoticons in their sigs as possible. I remember the Viper club (headed by that one Viper_something guy who doesn't come around anymore… lordy, I can't recall his name) was absolutely huge.

Oh, and the JAG club. Where on earth did JAG-MAN go?

I also remember when "drifting" was totally unheard of… that was a really interesting phenomenon.

And the pinstriped site with the colorful pixel tabs and the backwards Porsche logo. :D

Truthfully, I'm starting to forget a lot of what happened several years ago… although I'm sure I'll remember if someone jogs my memory (aside from the stuff already mentioned).

Oh, I Forgot a MAJOR one.

When the GTF shut down, the massive amount of members we gained.

The only thing that stands out in my mind is the annoying dude named Shineyz or whatever that took forever to ban.

Garbage Truck, Bus. whatever. You got rich off of it.

Hah, It should've been a B10R.

It ain't that nostalgic, but it goes back to my roots here (when I was that dumb nascar dude):

StreetKing. Oh, how I'd love to sit down for a round of two player GT3 with him and royally kick his ass. 👍

He is coming back again? Sorry, I had a one, maybe two month break from these fourms. But I remember him from around july. God, he's had too many aliases to keep up with...

Damn I was going to say this. That was huge in my opinion. It was the first I remember signing on at work and seeing soooo many unread Rumble Strip Threads. I used to be a top of GTP, reading almost everything, now I can barely keep up in an hour. Of course my life has changed a lot since my discovery of GTP. Heck my third year just passed in August and I was so excited about getting into the School of Architecture at USF I forgot to even really mention it.

I also have enjoyed running the Football pool. Although its not as popular as it once was, I just can't seem to let it go.

I know I have come and gone through the years, and may not be as popular as some of the guys on here, but this community has also made a difference for me. It a sense of online belongness that I can't really find anywhere else on the web. Even though I might get busy in between posts, I always feel I can come back, and jump right in without feeling like a newbee. Kinda like what i am doing now.

Oh, I just came up with another thing. It was huge for me to be on the top 20 post list. Just to get my name on the same list as Jordan, Pako, Josh, Talentless, and some other top guys meant a lot to me. I also tried to do it in a non-posthore fashion.

I think I am on like page 3 now. (Nope just checked page 2.)

No No, its the amount of time you reffered a friend to the community. Meaning you inviting a new member to the site. Calm down.

That reminds me of another one.

The race for 10,000 posts.
I think that was between me and Josh. He won.

Somebody gave you credit for them signing up. I think I only have one too. There was a time that there was a race for those as well. But then GTF fell and no one really cared about hunting down new members.

Boy, I really remember a lot of stuff from this place. A lovely two years, it's been. Explains why I couldn't leave if I tried.

I'm nothing. Just another member here for 2 years actually. (Different names) But nothing special.

The funny thing is, that was approximately how I worded it, even out loud.

As far as memories...

MistaX going for a 700 post in 24 hour spree, for no good reason.

MistaX and Josh leaving GTP after the closing of HMRCWG, only to have Josh come back a few months later, like nothing had happened.

The goodnight thread.

Yahoo Pool, with my 0-46 record.

The night we (Acid X, Josh and I, amongst others) said that MistaX was fat, and he went ballistic on us, threatening to hack our computers. We laughed, and still called him a fatso.

MistaX discovering Initial D, and arguing with us the Corolla GT-S was the best car ever made, that nothing could touch it, and that it was possible to replicate Takumi's driving. Again, we laughed.

M5Power's "relationship quesiton" thread, hands down the best thread ever in the history of the internet.

PunkRock

I fell for that. :indiff:

I remember being a n00b on GTPlanet, and it's amazing how I went from a complete dumbass to a nerd thanks to GTPlanet. I gained all my car knowledge from here. I'm proud to say, that my past 4 years, have been GTPlanet crazy.

The best thing ever for me was; when I joined.

Man PR, it's sad that most of everything you remember has to do with me being an idiot.
