I am just trying to find a simple answer to this question without searching 40000 posts and threads to find a some what scattered list of cars people think are rare. Can anyone honestly post rare cars that pop up in the used car showrooms? I know of the 4 black LMP cars, but other than that I really do not know what is rare.

used car lists have been posted, but i doubt they are complete (i've been looking thru them for the honda z act '70 to no avail.... got some advice from some dudes that it does appear in the 80's hall, but rarely)

use the search facility near the top of the screen if u wanna search for threads (just under the "remove these ads" etc link)

On day 1015 I just found a 99 V8 Astin Martin Vantage for 224,000.....Did I miss this car the 1st time or is it a new find on the 2nd cycle? Ive tried to keep up with my used cars since day 108 and im sure i would have noticed it! Then again I could just be blind..........Ive noticed that happens to alot of people lately. :dunce:

Reply appreciated.........Sr.

I've seen the V8 Vantage for sale - it was around day 600. Let it pass, bought a BMW M Coupe to fool around with instead. It was a nice light green color. :dopey: I forget the color of Vantage. :)

Not sure about the Rare car cycle, but I know every time I try to compair the used car list to what's actually in my used car lots, I see nothing the same. On a Different note, the V8 Vantage comes around all the time for me. I'm only on day 515 and I've seen it about 8 times in all different colours. I haven't driven it yet, but man it looks cool.

I could have SWORN the vantage showed up more.

Thanks jkrobby, good list.

Btw, I know how to use the search, but it was just a bunch of random posts and not really descriptive. It took long too. And the FULL lists of Used Cars..I am not about to even bother looking through that...its just not worth my time.

i found the 2nd version of the midnight purple skyline R34 '99 awhile back, forgot the day but i havnt seen it since.

it has an unusual green stripe down the side. so i now have the M.N.P II and the M.N.P III skylines:D

eh i dont know if this counts as rare but i have seen
Mustang SVT cobra
Audi s4
Mercedes sl 600
counts it as rare??? :dunce:(sorry bad english)

The Vantage showed up for me 3 times already. I'm only on day 320.

Here are the exact days that the Vantage shows up through day 371:

365-371, 316-322, 232-238, 218-224, 8-14.

Keep in mind the rare car list I posted above is through about half of the total cycles. There is nothing that says that the cycles will be statisically consistent with the first half over the second half. We already know that the four black LMPs only appear in the last cycle.

You know, I have to say, this attitude kind of pisses me off. In fact, it pisses me off a lot. I let it slide in your first post but I will not this time.

If finding what YOU want to know is not worth YOUR time, how dare you presume that we should hand it to you on a platter?! Why is your time more valuable than mine or anybody elses? If it is more valuable, friggin' hire somebody to do it for you. Otherwise, get off your lazy butt and look for yourself before asking us to spoon feed you.

This might be against what Duke just said, but has anyone seen any other race cars that appear in the used car lot at any time besides the black LMPs?

Read your own posts. You clearly state you're too lazy to look for yourself, several times, on several subjects. So it'll be a cold day in hell before I do you any favors that you aren't willing to do for yourself.

And speaking of cold days, take a closer look at the title under my name before you decide who you'll take '****' from.

Since we are on the used car topic..
Does mileage mean anything in this game besides price?
Yes. Cars with high mileage get looser and do not handle as well. That's what the "chassis refresh" is for. Though someopne also noted if you're going to do the roll cage/stiffening on an older car, you need to do the chassis refresh first or it will be permanently stiffened in its out-of-shape condition.

Thank you for the reply, I appreciate it!

i must say that i agree with the question asked. the other information is just scattered and guesses. which is what this thread is turning into. im pretty sure he just wanted to know if there was a good list like the prize car list etc...and as far as im concerned, the search function is useless 90% of the time. the only reason some people use it and find all these threads to show people is because they live on the internet and already know what's in each thread as soon as they see it pop up. some people come here maybe once a week.

WOW THE DOOK IS BACK( or whatever) good to see you and your no **** attitude mate.

has anybody considered that the used car list maybe completely random?

I considered that but after comparing my list for a couple of weeks with jkrobby's list and another list from the same weeks we all have exactly the same cars and for the same prices. I did a rough check on colors as well and I am pretty sure those also follow the same rotation between games.
