It was a million joys and a million pains!

I hope you all enjoyed it as much as I did.
Thanks for giving me the chance to do it, the support to get it done and the dedication to keep it going.

Well here's my replay

I'm posting early as I need to know if the file's OK. Its saved from Exploder V4 (which is dodgy at the best of times) and converted into .xps.

I'd appreciate if someone would try it and tell me if it works, if not I'll have to try something else (vodoo maybe...)

I'm going to look at these replays with SO much interest ... I know I was way off the pace, but I just couldn't figure out where I was losing it!
 
not as far as I was man, look at the time he set me as, I sent him a pm with another lap time that was way quicker than the one posted but obviously he didn't read it or it never made it to him.

I was wondering about that time; it seemed ... out of place?

Maybe the first time submitted is the final time, or perhaps he just needs to catch up with the PMs. You could always PM the new organizer to see what can be done about it or to clarify the submission rules.

Do you understand how many PMs Kent got. 75 people submitted times here, not to mention questions he needs to answer, qualifier time issues, etc etc. If you are sending multiple PMs with times it is easy to see how they get lost.

FYI guys....

Submit ONE and ONE time only. It will make CFM's job easier. Don't submit a time early in the week and then rerun the race. Wait until the end of the race and submit one final time.

It will avoid these kind of problems.

It's not that bad... 10th of D3... El Capitan is not my fav, and it was my first lap at it. So, good result.
 
Congrats to all podium finishers, and a big thank to Kent for his last event as the organizer.
The good thing with my result is that I can only improve in the weeks to come. (Or else CFM will kick my french arse down to div 3.)

BTW, Sadjo is miscredited 'div 3' while he appears in the registration list as div 2.

Now I'm getting back into my Woodone rocket, I need to restore my self-esteem next week ;)

Can I just bring to all the new guys/gals attention, that although it isn't mandatory in WRS to congratulate podium places, it would however be nice to see the odd 'congrats' here and there if you know what I mean. hint, hint. :)

Sorry, just noticed the only congrats were coming from us old WRS gits.
 
Actually, that's a fair point.

Congrats to all of the podium winners. You DIV1 & DIV2 guys make my head spin ... I look forward to studying your technique and, hopefully, learning something form you.

And you DIV3 guys ... one day I hope to stand alongside you :P

Wow, congrats to all the winners this week, that was a tough track to master. I have no idea how you all manage to extract so much speed out of that track.
Other than having a max drive/sharkport or something of the sort, is there any way for me to view those replay files on the computer?
 
Daan was in the habit of making videos for all #1 (overall) times, but I dunno if he's still doing that.
 
Yea, I saw that page, but it hadn't been updated recently. I see that daan is viewing this thread now, are you planning on doing the same for GT4 WRS?
