Also a big thumbs up to all the podium finishers, and beyond that to everyone who ran and submitted a time. I hope to see you all for a long time to come :D

As a side note, has anyone figured out how to determine which replay is which? But the only way I can think of at the moment is to go buy a second memory card (I've only got one at the moment), and copy and transfer the replays one at a time to the second (empty card), then the computer. :crazy: Has anyone found a better way?

Luxy the best way ive found is to memorise the display picture lol, and look for it when your trying to put it on max drive, when you highlight a replay a little picture will be shown, thus that is the only way i can identify it, I cant belive PD wrecked this soo badly :(. Hopefully someone comes up with a better way but i doubt it

I'm happy I got into division 2 :)

I jknow my result isn't the best, but I must say I got 10 times better at this track as a result of trying my hardest to get a good clean time. Thanks Kent 👍

All in all, I'm satisfied.

I made it into the Top 20 of my Division (2) - 20th, that is :D :lol:

Hopefully next week will reserve me a better spot.

I am off to watch those amazing Replays now - maybe I will learn something.

Wow, holy fast racing. Insane props for all of the podiums and for div 1 guys pulling under 1'49s I bow down to you. I am amazed that I got 13th in my division, looks like there will be some good compatition this year.
 
Man ,,,,what a race….Great big Kudos out to all the folk who made it up to the podium this first week of competition. :bowdown:

There sure are some fast drivers around here…Div 1 times almost make me want to hang up my driving gloves already…But taking a 3rd place in Div 3 has made tighten up the belts even more, and now it’s time to learn from you all and keep focused on staying in the top bracket of Div 3

I’m glad I found this place,,,and just in time….Thanks to everybody involved in making Gtplanet what it is…Look forward to all the future races….

Never in my wildist dreams did I think that there would be week when 75 racers would submit a time in the WRS when I created it!

I'd like to give Kent a big round of applause for the excellent work he has done in the past year+.
Kent, now you finally know how I felt after creating and running the WRS for 52+ weeks. :lol:

tuff240 Seems as if you shut the back door as I was about to come through. :grumpy: Somehow I wound up in D2. Evidently their are no friends in the WRS. Watch your back Patrick. :mad:

You have been with the Weekly for quite some time now and I can't think of anyone else that would do a better job other than you. You have been through thick and thin here in the Weekly and I even remember when you joined up. :)
I know you will do an excellent job and if you need any assistance, please don't hesitate to call on me.

I'm using the 2 memory card method. But because of differences in the file size I was able to do 2 replays at one time. This week showed 33kb in the replay theater and the Qualification race 31kb. The same numbers showed up in the PS2 browser and the the same difference at the PC (30 and 28 kb). Not much of an improvement, but at least it halves the hassle, when it can be done.

I tried chasing your ghost, learning the lines, and see what all I was doing wrong, and in a matter of 20 laps I was getting 37.5xx at T1 and 1'17.5xx at T2 (things that I haven't been able to do all past week).

I improved my final lap time by almost a second in a matter of half an hour (when it seemed impossible for me to even reach my time again, yesterday).

Hopefully, with your help and the help of all the other fast Division 1 racers, I will manage to become a better driver :D

I have a question though, I was placed in Divison 2 after the qualification yet now I am in Div.3, have I been degraded or what?

I wish I had a MaxDrive to see those replays!
 
Congrats to all podium standers - I'm astounded at how many good drivers we have here. I thought I was an OK driver, but I'll have to think again.

I'm also going to have to get a Max Drive to look at all the replays to improve - especially Div 1 winner HoTBoi.

Looking forward to week 2 submissions.

You did send in a qualifying time?
You did send in a time for this race?
Its just possible that KENT lost your submission, as i remember him saying something about losing some times, and could we all re-submit....

Send your times to CFM, the quali and the race time, and see if he can add you.
Bear in mind how many people there are to deal with, and how much work that entails, but also know that if the guys can help you get into the listing, they will.

If you havent been put up, its because they dont have your times....

I found 3 discrepancies (Jonny Dangerous, RacyBacy and Sadjo) between week 1 results and the registered drivers list and PMed CFM and Kent about that, so that it can sorted out soon.
I'll update the leaderboard when it's done.
There's no need I upload my replay :scared:

First WRS race, I never run timed runs. But now isn't the time for excuse, but the time for practice, and after that, a little more practice. (Though I've been playing Forevarrrrrrrrrr!!!!)


EDIT: I retried the combo and shaved off two seconds, I guess I'll learn to not PM my time so early :)
 
Apologies to GT_Fan2005 and I Don't Know. Their 2 submissions were PM'ed to Kent and were lost in the massive pileup of PM's! The times were as follows:

I Don't Know - 1:54.370
GT_Fan2005 - 1:55.154

Both in Division 3. If you happen to see this Kent before I PM you, can you edit their results into the final standings? Thanks much.
 
As far as I'm concerned, I've noted down those 2 submissions and I'll update my board tonight.
 
Jordan has waved the magic wand and given me supreme mod power. So I fixed the missing entries. Hopefully everything is correct now.:)
 
Maaaaaan, the only thing worse than sucking, is to creep into the points ... only to have it snatched away the next day :(
 
A few other drivers such as JonnyDangerous, SADJO, and Racy Bacy were listed in the wrong division also. All is corrected now. Big thanks to Flat-Out for being kind enough to go over the entire list without even being asked, and notifying me of the corrections. Cheers to you, Cyril:cheers:

Thanks to all the drivers that submitted thier replays for verification so far. Hopefully Alpine will post up the last replay soon.:) Thanks too for JonnyDangerous for posting, even though now due to corrected results it wasn't needed. Hopefully next week's results will go smoother with all info going to me instead of part to Kent and such.
 
Wow! I didn't expect to be at the top of my division. :)
I was actually going to send in a time of 1'52.183, but I just wanted to break into the 1'51s. Good job really. 👍
