Hello everyone, welcome to week 5 of the GT4 WRS! I've had a number of requests for FWD cars, cars that can be tuned, and cars and tracks that are new to GT4. So let's try them all at once. We will run this event in GT Mode, not Arcade Mode. Since we will be tuning this week, it is considered good ettiquette to post the setups you are running so that others may try tham out. In other words, be friendly and help those that are having trouble.:)

Gran Turismo Mode:

City Courses / Practice (5 Cr.)

Track :

New York (Forward) / Hotlap

Car:

Dodge SRT-4 '03

Clean OLR Standards:

-The division 1 winner each week will be required to submit with verification.
-All divisions of racers are subject to a request of time verification, however, this does not mean all racers will be required to submit verification for each race.
-Once a request for the verification of a time has been made the racer in question must comply.
-Any request of verification must addressed by the racer in question with in 3 days of the request. Arrangements must be made for the replay to be verified within a resonable time period, or the time in question will be removed from the WRS results and/or GTPlanet Times Database.

Any questions, just ask here. See you all at the finish line, and remember: SAVE THOSE REPLAYS!

Nice one mate!

Of the city courses, this is my fav!
👍 👍

Is there a way to NOT have to buy the car and parts or at least not save it to your memory card? I just lost tons of money yesterday trying to compete in the muscle car event... :(

Anywho, looks fun. :)

Damn CFM - You should've chosen an Import if you wanted it to be "With a side of Rice"....

Or does Rice cover the wing on the Dodge :)

a side of rice, means the wing i thinks.

Nice combo mate, will get to it soon.

Nice race and lots of options for this one ! Pity I now have to buy this car with my 60000 cr. ! It looks like I'll be selling some cars ...

If you have a max drive etc etc, then make a copy of your gt4 savegame and keep it on the pc till after the race, then just transfer it back later! Or like i have done, get a second memory card and again duplicate your savegame to it, then you have a wrs card and a gt4 card! (update as nesc, of course)
👍

Agreed.

Please CFM: no more GT mode races! They cost too much! LOL
I spent all day yesterday doing a write-up of driving styles, then made 100k crs and blew it all on a car for the muscle car races which I got royally owned in. I was sooo...erm...irked. :sly:

do the 2nd special conditions race, you will win enough money to buy all the stuff for only 8 - 10mins :)

Well I'm awaiting my Max Drive from play-asia.com ... just hope it gets here SOON now !!! Have been waiting almost 2 weeks ! :grumpy:

cool, interesting, i like it! although i havnt driven much of newyork at all.

Anyone who needs money for this event, simply go to Special Conditions Hall, the second race on the list. Capri Rally (Easy) at Costa di Amalfi. You will win the Toyota RSC Rally car as the prize for two 5-minute races, which can be sold for around $300,000 dollars. Do this once or twice and you will have planty of cash for awhile. 👍

I did this one last night, but sold the Toyota RSC Rally car to spend money on my 70's car for all those races ... so I'm gonna do this one like 5 times and get enough money for a looong while ... actually forgot about this one ! 👍

This will be interesting. For best laptimes you will have the Supersoft tires and those won't give many chanses... :indiff: You will not be able to make 10, 15, 20 laps or more setting laptimes!

tire wear will be off mate!, you wont have to worry

Wow, I haven't even LOOKED at those races. Okay, so I have, but if I were to judge my rally racing skills by my license tests, I'd say I have a slim chance of winning even the easy races! lol But it's worth a try (especially if such money is involved!).

Another way is to go to the american hall, and compete in the All American 5 race series, you win an AMG Merc. race car worth 743,749 Cr!

If your 'B'-spec driver is any good you can set him off doing the races whilst you do something else. With minimum input from yourself you can easily win it three or four times whilst watching your fave tv shows (1 1/2 hrs or so) And then sell all but one and pocket the cash!

I think the race you are referring to is the Deutsche Touring Car Meisterschaft Series which is in the European Events. But yes, if you have a good race car and decent B-Spec guy, you can make $900,000 in about 20 minutes this way.👍

I've yet to get m IA license and I haven't a German Touring Car. I haven't looked for one to buy, but I've ot 200k to spend if that'll get me a good enough one.

As for my B-spec d00d, I'll have him go re-win some races I've A-speced. He's pretty good, but I usually have cars I know he can own with anyway just to be sure. I like the challenge in A-spec, B-spec is just for my convenience.

Thanks for the help, folks! :D 👍

Yeah, my bad! was going off memory! (big mistake lol)

is the german touring car series!

I shall be busy earning money tomorrow! Today, however, I must work. Which I guess is earning money, just not usable in GT4. *not sure which emote to use here* I haven't gotten a paycheck in three weeks, though. Something about my papers.... *suspicious*

good track. piece of **** car. The SRT-4 is such a crappy excuse for a good FF car.

why couldn't we use an ITR or CTR or any Honda FF car for that matter? :)

Full tuning on this car will suck ass because torque steer is already such a problem with this car.

GOOD ONE CFM! 👍
Handles WAY better than I imagined it would. Lots more time to be found IF I can get a handle on the Turbo Lag in a coupla spots. :irked:

Just to give the other Division III Drivers something to beat:

T-1 = 27.549
T-2 = 1'03.492

...O.G. :D

This sounds like a nice race 👍
After Friday morning I will have plenty of time to play, my final exams being over.

I am not too happy about the car choice, though. I drive a Dodge Neon ES in real life (I imagine it is similar to the SRT-4, as far as handling goes) and I know it's no race car :D ;)

The Wizard.

T1: 27.805
T2: 1'03.898

Completed just a few laps, now.. trying to figure the car out. Hopefully I can dial out some of the understeer. :cringe:
