awsome, i knew a street circuit would be next~

my love for champ cars is gonna help me out here i know it :D

as for the car hehe, FF drive

anywayz time to go and give this a crack

i feel like ive already hit my limit... :nervous:

if so im gonna be reaaaaaaaaaally low on the div.1 this week

so far my times are

T1 0'27.533
T2 1'03.728

lol its crazy that the dodge can do 270km/h down the straight~

Hmmmmmmmmmmmm  i'm on race 8 of the FGT championship. gotta get my arse in gear and finish that by the weekend to put some runs in on this race.

👍 glad to see a race where we can tune the car :)

well i aint no tuner, but i screwed around with the downforce, and suspension.
and got these

i really thought i was at my limit

T1 0:27.287
T2 1.02.645

I can't tune to save a life, and the torque steer on this thing is ridiculous... Looks like I'm gonna do terrible this week. Time to detune, or turn that TCS on, or use a DS2. :scared:

Prob gonna sound thick or summat!

But what is 'The tranny trick'?

is it something like tuning the gearbox 'over-long' to reduce torque? Therefor reducing wheelspin under acceleration (specifically lengthening 2nd and 3rd)

I have had some improvements with softening the front roll-bar and increasing the camber angles of the front wheels, therefor allowing the driven wheels to run more perpendicular to the track whilst cornering- therefor increasing grip!

Might be trying to teach grandma to suck eggs, but there you go!

tranny trick?!

You up the final all the way, up the auto all the way, then set the auto all the way down, and finally set the final to what you want. If you do it right you will get the same top speed but with better acceleration.

T1 27.381
T2 1'03.809

480BHP,default settings(apart from the ASM , downforce and autogearing 13)
You didn't have an oil change sjaak ?
As Kenny mentions, the fully modded SRT is 511hp.

To all those who're looking for easy cash, here is a summary of what has been posted :

1) Special Conditions / Rally di Amalfi easy = 2x 5,000 + prize car worth 265,000.
Total : 275,000 in 10 minutes (any race car will do OK)

2) European races / DTM = 5x 15,000 + 75,000 + prize car worth 750,000.
Total : 900,000 in 40 minutes (A-spec Opel Astra), or less if you have a better car and let B-spec Bob drive at x3 speed.

I was running out of cash since I just purchased all 4 black cars this week-end (about 8,400,000 the pack) and 10 minutes at Amalfi in a M3 GTR Race Car were enough to buy a yellow dodge, all the parts except nitro, a wing, 4 green wheels and an oil change.

On the track :
My first laps seem to show that the gearbox settings will be the key to run a fast lap this week.
1'05 after 5 laps, about 1 to 1.5 seconds to shave off with the same settings, and I hope I'll find better settings.

My Neon is in dire need of either tcs or some limited slip, gotta play around with that now
The only thing I could do without TCS was laying down rubber all across Times Square at 120 km/h in 6th gear. TCS = 5 seems a good solution on a 511hp FF.
As for the LSD, I simply reduced the acceleration from 40 down to 25.

I think I'll only play with the gearbox settings.

I agree with your TCS setting, I put it to 5 first and it is perfect, I knocked off a couple seconds already. My t2 is at 1'04.143 which sucks but I haven't touched the suspension or lsd yet.

In fact I didn't even buy the LS yet. Why did you lower it to 25?

Same question came to my mind!

Slacking the diff off increases wheel-spin! At least that's what the blurb at the bottom of the screen says.

Who knows ???
I used to do that in GT3 and feel more comfortable with the car, it's supposed to help you to steer and accelerate at the same time.
But you shoudn't give any credit to my tuning capabilities.

I don't do it this way.

1) move auto setting to the right (25)
2) move final drive to the right (6.000)
3) move auto setting to the left (1)
4) move final drive to whatever seems appropriate.

Perhaps it has the same effect.

I believe it does.

My times so far:
T1 - 27.428
T2 - 1'03.705

After my first run my best T2 is 1'03.4xx. I think this would have been better with a lot less HP. 500 is just too much for this little FF car to handle.

Nice choice CFM. This will be my very first time joining a WRS. I hope to get a good time and also a good qualifier lap, as i will have to do both as quick as possible LOL. :)

Nice to be allowed to tune a car and go reckless through the streets, can´t wait to push there and see what i get. Good luck for you all. 👍 :)

now, at gt.de the only part you can not drive on is the tarmac with yellow painted lines on that last long long corner. Everywhere else is fair game, is this the same for WRS??

Not to be an idiot, but does it really matter? My best times through there are when I avoid cutting through there.

Just curious, but how much slower are you getting around without TCS? I'm attempting all of GT4 without driver aids. Unless there is a huge difference, I'm going without.

(I know I am going to regret this...)

it does matter a lot, you could shave a second or more off your time, have a look at IB - 8 and try with and without cutting curbs.

I was going to post a similar question, since the neighborhood WRS group is having internal debates. In order of consistent speed, the three of us are:

JMitch17: DS2 with all aids on
LoveMyMiata: DFP with no aids on
I Don't know: DFP with TCS

There seems to be a consistent message from the D1 top dogs that aids off is quicker, and I know that driving with them (particularly ASM) makes me feel like I'm driving a boat. But JMitch17 is smoking us with them on (gosh, it could be he's just simply better :dopey: ), so I'm wondering the same as Ebiggs.
