Welcome to the What The Liberal Media Hides Thread.

This thread will combine all of the events that the Liberal/Mainstream Media will not show you, but no longer can hide. This will be updated regularly and old articles will be archived. You will be able to discuss about these events and we want to hear from everyone. No spin, no flaming, no trolls, no drive-bys, and no fact-less statements.

When There Are No Words

380,http%3A%2F%2Fus.news2.yimg.com%2Fus.yimg.com%2Fp%2Fap%2F20050503%2Fcapt.bag12305032334.iraq__bag123.jpg

Picture released by the U.S. Army Tuesday, May 3, 2005 shows a U.S. Army soldier comforting a child fatally wounded in a car bomb blast in Mosul, 360 km (225 miles) northwest of Baghdad, Iraq, Monday, May 2, 2005. 15 Iraqis were wounded in the combined suicide bomb attack. (AP Photo/U.S. Army)

Why is this photo hidden by the Liberal Media? CNN only has one sentence about this child and nothing about the solider or that he is carrying the (dead) child.

"The U.S. military reported the attacks in Mosul killed a child and wounded 15 civilians." - CNN.com article

This blurb is only to be found after several paragraphs and a misleading headline of several different attacks and a mention of Abu Ghraib prison mixed together.

The photo only appears at the AP photo section of Yahoo News, which is the most viewed photo and most emailed for today (5/4/2005). The news story about the car bombs in Mosul do not accompany the photo above. Fox News is the only one, that I was able to find, that had both the story and photo together.

Why, I wonder?

Ok, this would be like me making a thread of what the conservative media won't show. Which is to say a flamefest of a semi-pointless thread. This is nothing but a subtle way to get people to vote for Bush and frankly, I find it ridiculous. Good day sir.

Yup the media is very liberal, but Fox News really isn't much better, it's just as biased. But never the less I just read the local newspaper because there is a mix of liberal and conservative articles. I don't know what's so hard about giving straight up news, I mean give me the facts and that's it.

CNN to me will always be known as the Communist News Network just because I think they are a bunch of idiots. BBC just thinks they know what's going on in America. Fox News is just overaly conservative. So they media is just bad in general. Not to mention they just make the public stupider.

Actually Bush won and we won't be voting on him ever again.

My uncle has been in the army ever since he was 18 i believe, hes over 40 now, he tells that the media will show us citizens how we seem to just kill civilians or etc, but what we dont know is the civil opened fire on us, or that someone will attack us and use a civilian as a shield, or if we shot (or if anyone shot) and killed someone who opened fire, they would take their gun away from the scene and take a pic, as if to say they were innoccent and did nothing.

Oh yah, Americans 8 year/two term rule. Gotcha.

At one point, the Liberals controlled Canada for 21 consecutive years.

For the love of all that is good and evil put some periods in your sentences!

and PS the next president in America will more then likely be a moderate something, those are the kind of presidents I like the best anyways. While I'm conservative, I don't agree with everything President Bush has said.

And there is some stupilation where it's like you can't serve in office more then 10 years or something. Forgive my government classes are slipping.

Right, just like a "play dead" terrorist in the Fallujah mosque a few months ago.

I think Fox is much better. It's the only one who shows both sides of the stories (or when the Democrat bothers to show up) and is the only one who aired this story. It's hard to change the channel to CNN when they are unwilling to show even the basic of stories, biased or not.

Wait just a second. Fox showing both sides of the story? What, the Ultraconservative side and the neo-fascist side?

There is no liberal media. Look who owns the major media companies. Look who those owners give the big campaign contributions to.

You want to talk about hiding stuff, how about the fact that the "liberal media" has so much time to talk about Terri Schaivo and Michael Jackson, yet not a word about the dozens of American soldiers who are dying every week in Iraq? Or how about how the "liberal media" had so much time to cover Clinton's impeachment (which, was by the way, literally for nothing, he wasn't charged with any impeachable offense) but they completely ignore the fact that Bush is supervising and condoning massive war crimes in Iraq, while the whole country is falling apart and American soldiers are hiding in tiny islands of controlled territory, improperly equipped because the funds for their equipment went to designing pointless missile defense systems and fcuking COMBAT ROBOTS?

Good God There is hope!! :dopey: Oh yeah! **** that's much better than thinking about the hell we will be living in for then next 3 more years. Thanks! :)

BBC just thinks they know what's going on in America.

What do you expect, THE BBC ARE BRITISH if you want American news try an American news station, going to the BBC is the equivelent of asking the Bahamas to do a traffic report on Antartica. Oh and by the way I havnt seen any British news on Fox or CNN, thats what we use the BBC for.

I find the BBC does perfectly satisfactory murder coverage in Croyden thats what we brits use it for, BBC = British.

Oh BTW dont watch BBC world thats appaling watch news for news 💡 .

Maybe they didn't show the photo because they didn't think it was representative of this 'war' as a whole? I'm sure there are thousands of photos illustrating the devastation, poverty and humility caused by this conflict that never get seen either.

Wow you really must think I'm stupid. Watch BBC they their news thinks they know whats going on over in America. Sure it's not the little local stories but when they talk about the war or something they are usally misinformed.

I think you misunderstood what he was saying but, in response to your response, how do you know the BBC are misinformed? The Journalists who make the reports are based in Iraq same as the American Journalists.

I know they get the same information, they just give it out differently. They are more biased then both CNN and Fox News. They think her in the USA we are out to screw over the world and what not. I really dislike it when outsiders of our country tell us how to run ours.

Oh, you mean like Iraq, Afghanistan, Cuba, Vietnam, Korea etc., etc.?

Just because someone disagrees with your viewpoint doesn't mean that they are wrong.
The BBC has a charter to provide unbiased news, unlike CNN, Fox, Sky and all the other networks.
I'm not saying that the BBC never make mistakes but if you're looking for an example of unbiased news reporting then the BBC (and even ITN) are probably your best bet.

Oh, you mean like Iraq, Afghanistan, Cuba, Vietnam, Korea etc., etc.?

We (the US) are not telling any of those countries what to do. If you had not notice, both Iraq and Afghanistan have elected governments. Cuba, Vietnam, and (North) Korea have non-elected Communist governments.

Really?

BBC produces film that claims Al Qaeda is a facade to enable fascist governments to rule the world.

BBC caught manufacturing news in UK election

The BBC should report the news accuretly, no matter if it's in the UK or not.

America decided what was best for the people of those countries, which happened to be US invasion every time, they weren't asked to help out...

And those two links have nothing to do with the BBC news service. They are related to BBC programmes.

Oh, and yes, Racybacy, Channel 4 news is also a good example of unbiased reporting.

Until you can make meainful post, get off the forums.

Still I don't think some other country should tell my country how to run things, most of all a news station. I really hate all forms of media.

Although it's fine for your country to tell another country how to run things?

Which foreign news agency is telling you how to run the US now?

No it's not fine for America to tell others how to run their country, if I was president I would basically say screw everything else and focus on local issues. But they basically show all the crap that doesn't need to be and they make the US out to be a bad guy. While we don't need to police the world, at least when we try we do it for somewhat of a good cause.

Actually, BBC News shows the USA in very favourable light, in general. Then again, I only watch it.

Sky News, however, is more scathing. Bizarrely, at 1am Sky News gives an hour to CNN, and I tend to, if still awake, watch it and laugh my arse off. We couldn't get away with such one-sided media in this country - although some of the redtop papers come close.

And that is percisely why I hate watching any form of news, they are all biased beyond belief.

Actually I read the paper, there is a good mix of liberal and conservative literature.

On the topic ...

The media is not in business to report the news - they're in business to make money. The thing that makes the most money is picking on the president. Why would they do anything to uplift and support him when they make more money tearing him down?
