Gone in 60 sec. 0-60.

Since there are threads of other ways to see who has it the fastest. but non as this one.

What is your Fastes 0-60 in sec. my is on my 800 hp supra 0-60 3 sec i am only in 5 % of the game.

What is yours.

Correct. This thread is also fairly pointless, and not just because you have no way to actually measure either time or velocity.

Apparently I stand corrected. Reopened at Scaff's request.

all you gotta do is do a 1/4 mile run, and watch your speed and when you hit 60 jus tpause it and look at the time. works for me. sometimes you hit like 61 or 59 but either do it again or compensate for that.

Duke, many thanks for this and you stand as proof that the mods/admin at GTP are more than fair and even handed in their approach.

As has been mentioned, the best way to do this is to use the 0-400m or 0-1000m in the Power & Speed hall. Once your run is finished just pause the replay at the right point (and this does take a few goes) and you have you're 0-60 time.

What would also help is if people are going to post these, then they state the car, mods and most important of all the tyres they are using.

Here are a few from me.

All cars totally stock (not even an oil change), no driver aids and running N3 tyres, I'm a realism freak you see!

Ford GT = 4.12 secs
BMW M5 = 5.14 secs
Dodge Viper SRT-10 = 4.66 secs

Yeah, the analyzer would be great but does it tell you the exact time? I never saw it display and times when going through it.

The analyser is no good for these, just pause your replay from the 0-400m (in Power & Speed) at 60 mph and you've got your time.

Step one.
Into 0-400 in the Power & Speed area

Step Two
Set-up your car and make your run

Step Three
Enter the replay and set it to display

Step Four
Pause at 60mph and you have your 0-60 time

In this case a 10.76 secs for a 1976 Golf GTI on N2 tyres (stock car with no oil change or driver aids)

Hope this helps

I use my cat-like reflexes and 400M replays to get my 0-60 times. Right when a car hits 60mph, I pause the replay and copy down the time. I'll end up doing this several times any times I do that, just to confirm.

My 577hp Z06 hits 60mph in 2.7 seconds.

Heres my silly one, R34 Skyline GTR Nur, 877bhp with Racing SS tyres = 2.3 seconds.

The RSS tyres and 4WD make the launch too easy.

To be honest I find the 0-60mph runs a bit straight forward, now 0-100-0 runs are much more of a challenge; particularly if you run them with totally stock cars (not even an oil change) with no aids and N3 tyres.

LoL, that's the way to do it. 👍 👍 👍 I've done that years ago just to see how fast ur car can get to 60.

All said veicles run on SuperSoft tires, traction control, and Nitrous.

With the super soft tyres you don't even need the traction control, the 2.3 I set with the R34 Nur was with TCS set to zero.

Damn good time on the WRX.

Mine's Skyline

Totally standard setup, 600bhp, N3 tyres all round.

Standing Kilometre Test

0-30mph: 1.540 seconds (Pic)
0-60mph: 3.660 seconds (Pic)
0-100mph: 7.460 seconds (Pic)
0-150mph: 15.300 seconds (Pic)

1/4 Mile: 11.505 seconds @129mph
Standing Kilometre: 20.385 seconds @167mph

0-100mph-0 Test

0-30mph: 2.280 seconds (Very slow in comparison to standing kilometre, I changed up too early to minimise wheelspin on this run)
0-60mph: 4.040 seconds
0-100mph: 7.880 seconds
Reaction Time: As fas as I can tell less than 0.04 seconds.
100mph-0: 3.680 seconds

0-100mph-0: 11.560 seconds

edit: Pics added

It's a real oddball setup... Hardest springrates in the front, softest in the back, Max height front, lowest back. 0.0 Camber on all 4 wheels. TCS is set at......5. (If I remember right; I'm typing off of memory right now.) 100 shot of NOS. VCD set 50/50. 2-way LSD. I preformed the tranny trick, but I forget what the final drive ratio was. All I can remember is that it redlined at 61mph and just topped out right after the line That's it. I didn't think it was all that special of a run.

Thanks for the good compliments.

does the telemetry show time?.. or is it just speed and distance??

[EDIT: Damn imperial system!!.. you all know it should be 0-62 (100km/h)

but then again, the 2 miles you's are leaving out makes the car seem faster :sly: ]

Ah crud.. i thought we were talking about 0-60 KPH!.. dag.. lol.. back to the drawing board... Can the thread starter be more specific next time please.

If that were so, my street ride would actually be in the hunt... :D

hey, although im young,im a good physician, and there is a way to calculate the theoretical 0-62mph time for any car when given the power output and acceleration force.if anyone can provide the mathmatical formula for this before i work it out, please post it here.in the meamtime i will be using the SUVAT values to come up wiv a formula.btw S=distance covered, u=initial velocity (o), v=final velocity (62), a-accelration force (m/s/s) and t=timre taken (this is the value we want).if any1 understands what im on about please private msg me.

Actually, it's pretty easy to figure if you have the power and weight of the car.

Assuming infinite traction, no frictional losses, flat power curve, and no shifting, anyway :D
Oversimplification of physics is fun!

You won't come up with a universal formula. As Sven said, you can't take into account every possible variable, you can only simplify your formula to deal with every car. If you simplify it, it's not going to be right.

The formula you're looking for is:

s = 1/2 ((at) squared)
