Not many of us reached the finish line safely, while some even gave up without trying the combo. Congrats to those who submitted, and big congrats to all division winners. šŸ‘

Congrats to all who finished this grueling race! šŸ‘
Nice times from all.

It would be nice to say 'Yeah! 3rd!! woot woot!' and be really chuffed, but 10th overall, and 3rd in div with so few competators, sort of takes the shine off a little.

Still, happy enough though. :)

I know i could have gone faster, but couldn't get back in the groove.

Will post replay later on.

Neil

For a quick effort I'm pretty happy. Here's my replay

Only 18 racers? Damn! It really was a lean week. Well done to all who saw it through to the end though coz it was an extremely unorthodox combo. Can't wait to see kart.no.38's replay. It must be biblical!

Anyway here's mine (PAL):

O M G!!!

6'16!?!?

I'm not worthy...

So, someone posted recently a software utility that converted PAL to NTSC for replays. Anyone got that link handy?

I GOTTA see that!

kart, what were your lap times?

Amazing...

-SHig

p.s. I'm glad that I didn't sit on my 6'26.600 and also glad that the 0.6" didn't matter.

Here you go buddy, curtesy of Rotbarsch

http://rapidshare.de/files/8702742/...uilder.rar.html

In the wk34 tesults thread!
EDIT
However it doesn't link correctly, bugger!

Neil

Tss tss tss.

1) you didn't copy the whole URL but the shortcut that displays ... so the link's not gonna work.

2) Savebuilder (which is the soft to which it links) can convert gamesaves from NTSC to PAL and vice versa, but it doesn't work with replays due to different framerates.

Edit :
You can find there some tools :
  • SaveConverter to convert from and to NTSC or PAL
  • SaveSlice to extract the garage or the gamesave or the icon from a GT4 data file
  • XpstoMaxConvertor to convert from XPS or SPS to MAX or the other way around.

OK,

Does the godlike Flat-out have a solution? :)

I really would like to watch Kart's race too!

Neil

EDIT

Thanks Bud! mucho appreciato! :)

But will saveconverter do the job?

Nope.

I just took 5 minutes to write this post in the Questions thread, so that I won't have to do it too many times.
;)

Congrats to all who took on the challenge this week! It was a tough race, but fun and ultimately satisfying IMO. Sorry to nip ya there Francisco, probably my first lap at 59.6 did it. We seemed to be neck and neck otherwise.

@Neil- A podium is a podium is a podium mate. You made the effort, and were rewarded for it. Plenty of shine for you. Nice job! šŸ‘

I figured kart no.38 was deep into the 16's with the splits he posted. Congrats to you sir on a GREAT run!

Cheers mate, and yes, you're right. A podium's a podium! šŸ‘

Anyway, for anyone masochistic enough to want to watch it, here's my replay. :)

Congrats to those that completed the week 36 quest šŸ‘, I gave it shot, but the AI or
the walls managed to stuff me up every go :ouch: . Therefore nothing clean to submitt.

Steve

I just checked replays from ROB 256R (clean as a whistle : a well deserved green start... and division victory), and MisterWeary. The latter is clean too, with a very very close call in the second turn of lap 7, but on the closest picture I could take there was an inch between the car and the wall : so it's clean.

Just checked Cyril's replay, a couple of close calls in lap 4 (entry to turn 3 and exit of turn 4- which is VERY close :scared: ) but perfectly clean as expected!

Nice one!

Neil

Well done D1 & D2 podii. Amazing times throughout. Congrats on the D3 win bigrew. Looks like maybe you don't belong in D3 anymore?

Was the side mirror _in_ the wall? I seemed to have sunlight between the car and the wall, but the mirror would've been toast...

You were right though, the time difference didn't matter.

Great fun! Humbling experience...

Not last place again yay! Only put in about 2 hours total on this combo and I hate that fact. But gotta maintain my rally series and drive in it... o well. Truly spectacular run Kart! *WHISTLES* whatta time dude!

Thanks again Cyril, I'm gonna check yours now and I might also have another look at mine...didn't realise I'd cut it close :scared:

...Wow...mine was quite close...you also had a pretty close moment:

CYRIL'S - Lap 4 before T2 . . MINE - Lap 7 before T1
. . . . .

It's a shame we can't use the Analyzer for races, that would be helpful.

šŸ‘ šŸ‘ WWOOWW!! Was it ever close at the top pf div2.

Here's my replay - Hope its the right one

so much for you getting last place... :yuck: the times in front of me are staggering, i dunno what was going on with setup but i was nowhere near that quick in any of the goes i had at this...

Well done to everyone. This race wasn't easy!

Thanks for the compliments BTW, much appreciated. I will try and have my replay up in the next few hours.

EDIT:

The One is of the 52.421 being done twice (and then sadly crashing) and the other is the proper replay.

Was that my car on the pics ?
I might check my replay a couple extra times to make sure it's really clean. I didn't remember being that close to the wall and I want to make sure I didn't overwrite my clean replay with a too-close-to-dirty-to-be-honest one.

@MisterWeary : I had pics of your car closest to the wall than the pic you posted. Not as close as me, but close anyway. I'll try and post them tonight.

first congrats kart for the awesome run, now everyone in gtplanet knows you...

i hope someone converts the replay for us NTCS see...

iĀ“m pretty sure your early times scared away some div1 guys from entering this race... others just didnĀ“t like NOS i think...

to me was one of the best combos ever, i will still play when i get home tomorrow...

as for me, i was pretty happy with my time, was a close race with steve, and yes, the first lap hurt me, i never figured a good strategy to passa the AI fast...

congrats to ALL 18 drivers who managed to finish the race clean šŸ‘
