Was that my car on the pics ?
I might check my replay a couple extra times to make sure it's really clean. I didn't remember being that close to the wall and I want to make sure I didn't overwrite my clean replay with a too-close-to-dirty-to-be-honest one.

I think it's just clean, but if it's not i would rather know and be DQ'd than get a dirty podium!

That would have been a really weird situation if the race steward had had to disqualify himself for submitting a dirty replay :lol:

All three pics are from the same instant!

Just taken from different angles, in the third it's clear that there is about an inch (relatively speaking) between the wall and the rear wheel-arch. But the other's look closer, prob due to camera angles etc.

@NTSC people : could you check DRIVEN -USA- and MinorShunt replays (and kart's if South Africa is NTSC).


@bigrew : I PMed you about the possibility that you'd be living close to someone who could get that replay out of your memcard for you. Any chance ?
Else your time will become 'unofficial' next tuesday. :(

Did you have doubts about it ?
It looks both amazing and perfectly clean to me.

My camera can take some vids with a crap resolution (640x320 I think) and without any sound, but hey, that's better than nothing.
I filmed my TV during kart's first lap, and uploaded the vid here (.mov format).

The video quality is awful but if you find it worth I can film the whole replay. (Which view to use then ?)
 
You can make it any in view, the one which looks best I suppose.

IMO it is up to the people who want to watch it.

I just checked out DRIVEN-USA-'s replay. I believe there is a very slight AI touch on the 2nd lap, on the righthander just before T1. He was passing the first place Ford GT on the curve. It appeared that he had the corner, but it also appears that the GT swings into the left rear bumper of DRIVEN's with the right front very slightly, then rebounds off. It is virtually impossible to catch this touch in photomode at normal speeds. The entire sequence is probably only about 1/10,000 of a second.

Cyril, I would suggest that someone else confirm this. It is too close for one person to say positively that it is dirty. Especially with a podium at stake. I doubt that DRIVEN felt the touch. I had a similar touch in what I thought was a clean race, and never felt a thing. If no one else wants to get involved, I would let the results stand as is.

God I hate this. :(

To use photomode, you simply need to press 'Select' during the replay. (and 'Select' again to resume the race). It can be pretty hard to catch a certain moment though.

Can you check your replay and check MinorShunt's at the same time ?
Then we'll take a decision.
 
No sweat. I don't doubt you didn't see it DRIVEN. 👍 It makes a big difference on what replay view you use. May I suggest that you try using the furthest chase view. That view has worked the best for me when reviewing replays. On the DS2 just press X, R1, R1 after the replay starts to get to the view.
Another trick to try is to focus on the other car involved. In this case it was the GT. To do this, just press "up" multiple times until the GT is selected for replay viewing.

Like I said in my previous post, it appears to be only a "slight" touch. If you don't think it is a touch after reviewing your replay, I will agree with you. 👍

I'm afraid this one isn't clean. At 0'27.x-0'28.x in lap 1 the green FTO runs into you:

You can't see the contact on the pic, since the moment is hard to capture, but you might be able to tell from the angle the FTO is going and the FTO's speed drops from 204km/h to 203km/h before going up to 204km/h again. :indiff:

This was caused by the brainless AI, but a contact is a contact, I suppose. :ill:

P.S.: For further replays, please add your name somewhere when you save them in GT4, makes it easier to find them on a swamped MC like mine. :dopey:

Most of the racers (me included) name their replays WRS xx or Week xx.
I have a spare memcard (my wife's) where there is no GT replay, and I'm using this one to load all the replays I need to check, then I erase them when I'm done.
