I will certainly come back with some times for this but I'm just wondering...

Are you going to list the times in order of fastest to slowest?
You may want to consider changing the order of your information...
Currently it is "Name Car Time"
You may want to try "Time Name Car" 👍

In any case, I'm glad to see a race on tsukuba and even happier to see a lap on racing tires (for street cars none the less).

Btw, do we really have to out-law older cars?
That automatically rules out some great stuff (including the '97 Supra).

Anyway, back later tonight with some times,
Till then,
-Kent

He never specifies a date with "no old cars" so I'm not sure if thats what he means. I would ceratinly like to try the Supra, and in the great scheme of things, its a relatively new car. Setting a cut-off date would be a good idea nito 👍. Also, one more thought, you may want to stipulate an outlaw of race cars and race specific road cars (such as the R390 GT1), as I assume you are going for an all road car challenge here 👍

Tried the Honda NSX '01 and got 48.871. I have a feeling it'll get beaten fairly handily as I think many of the other Japanese cars can tune to well over the NSX's 485 HP.

Here's my setup:

11.5/9.6
105/102
5/5
5/5
2.6/1.4
0/0
4/6
Auto 8 Tranny
Full Tune/NO LSD

Tried the Supra RZ '97 at 905 HP

45.759

Had to use some TCS because of all that power. This wasn't as enjoyable as the NSX to me, the Supra has a lot more understeer. If the NSX's got up to around 900hp they would easily outgun the Supra.

Gave the 813hp GTR R34 a lap. 👍
0'47.??? (high)

Ran the ZZII for comparison (830hp?)
0'47.1 (or there abouts) :dopey:

When I've had the chance to really run some laps I will put down some solid numbers (as official entries).

Until then I'm going to be playing around with other combos. :guilty:
Running Tsukuba is like a whole new experience to me since I haven't touched the track in a long time.

All of my runs have been at the Ring and Deep Forest, sort of a hard transition for me to make. :ouch:

Still though,
I'll be back for more of this setup. 👍
Till then,
-

great. A chance to not be the slowest on gtp anymore... darn N tires...

I will actually post some times I think.

Why no ZZII?

It's not a road version of a race car, it's not an old car, it's not a race car.

It's barely even faster than any of the other Japanese late model cars that are being used.

Why outlaw a car that is perfect for this race?

I mean, how often does a race come up where the ZZII is even a valuable contender?

In any case, I can't say I will be able to contribute much here if "this car isn't allowed" happens too often.

If I'm going to take the time to race and stay within the posted rules, I would expect to have my efforts, real world time, and lap time, honored.

Guess this means there are other cars that aren't allowed that have not been listed?

Before I do any more racing I am asking that you...
Please list all of the cars you will not accept times for.
Such as the ZZII, or the only listed road version of a race car, the R390GT1.

So please, before I waste any more of my time, let me know what you will and will not accept. 👍

Also, may we please start using some of the cars from other countries? Please?

The Nardo, Zonda, Saleen, and XJ220 are perfect for this sort of racing!

Btw,
New Times:
0'47.316 Skyline GT-R '99
0'47.587 Amuse Carbon R

No I like the idea of Japanese only cars, just like the real Super Lap Battle....

My best is a 0.48.906 RX-7 Spirit R type A.

Best with RX7 Spirit type A 48.138

also best with Ruf Yellowbird in arcade with all aids off 59.557 ,mind you recon there is still a few tenths to come off that time.

Will get a Few other laps in next few days

Here's mine...

'02 Nissan Skyline GT-R V-Spec II Nur - 47.926

Currently awaiting a Supra RZ to turn up in the Used Cars section so I can give that a spin around Tsukuba. :)

Please take all my times off of the board. You've got a lot of nerve asking for proof of lap time when it doesn't seem as if you've ever posted a replay on this site. Going by your track record with your countless race series' and such I can see this going down in flames real soon, so have fun 👍

i've done as you've asked, iceman, but IMO saying what you said was uncalled for. I'm not going to get angry, as that would make my reputation more worse than it is.

So what happened here? Nitro, the race organiser, asked for proof of your lap time(s) and you refused to provide it? Why? The fact that Nitro has never supplied proof means nothing. Did he indicate he thought you were cheating?

I'm not Nitro's biggest fan, but there's something not right about that.

Nitro seems to be doing fine with this one. It seems to me that you're the one setting it on fire.

I don't think it's right for my integrity to be questioned by a driver who can't even back up his own times. I'll leave it at that and I'm done here.

Children snotty words on forums don't solve anything. However awesome, defiant smileys get the job done!! You Mother:censored:ing W:censored: kers. Sorry I had to do it :mischievous:.

Your times can be questioned by anyone at anytime. It's an accepted practise in OLR that those that can supply replays, do so when asked.

Scenario 1
You supply a replay. Everyone thinks you are a driving god and that Nitro is a numptie for questioning you.

Scenario 2
There will be people here who don't know you and will now think you're cheating because you refuse to supply a replay and asked for your times to be deleted. Your actions have all the hallmarks of a cheater.

I know which scenario I'd rather have...

And Streetz - less of the childish comments, thanks.

you know... BMI and hot version use the best STREET tire... most cars in real life use advan A048s NOT racing slicks... thats the reason the record right now is like 54 secs or around that... even the ARTA nsx gt car only got a 52... not to be bringing down the party but yeah... just wanted to share my veiws on the subject...
