I think that the poll should've been multiple choice.

And why is Merc with VW & Audi?
And Volvo with Saab? (Which I voted for.)

I think that the poll should've been multiple choice.

And why is Merc with VW & Audi?
And Volvo with Saab?

He either A. believed those were co-companies, or, more likely, was trying to get small groups, like ferarri and lambo, to reduce number of choice

I'm putting faith, especially due to ferrari and Lambo together that he was simplifying the selection for us.

I looked for multiple choice too.... but then how many votes should we get?
I wish mine had been single vote now....

Good work Classic! nice spin!

What a surprise... Ferrari/Porsche/Lamborghini got more votes than anyone.

Classic Anycar, you've developed sort of a trick question with the answers you've provided. To me, I'd want to increase Australian exposure in the GT series. Most notably, if PD could put in DTM race cars, JGTC/Super GT race cars, then I think Australian V8s are certainly doable. I mean, who wouldn't want to be Peter Brock, Russell Ingrall, Craig Lowndes, Mark Skaife, Jason Richards, or even Marcus Ambrose for a day? The biggest name I probably included is probably Peter Brock. Thing is, if I vote to see more of Holden, I'd want to see more of Ford and FPV, just to bring this Australian rivalry virtually. Likewise, if I select Ford Motor Company, that includes all the different divisions of Ford worldwide, including Australlia. Tough call, but if I had to choose, let it be Holden.

Can you dig that?

Maybe he bunched them together because of the poll option limit? I dunno.

It's a new format and haven't used a poll since the change. I'd probably like every car company possible because I'm sure there a bunch more cars out there that I like but I just don't know about. (Not sold in U.S.)

I put other, I like seeing the smaller manufacturers getting represented, also I'd love to see a GT game with the full TVR lineup, they have some awesome road/race cars that haven't appreared in a GT game yet.

-> As what I said on the other thread, it doesn't really matter on which cars we would like to be on GT5 (well obviously LamPorFerra is still on he lead). I selected other because I like all of them to be in the game.

I for one would like to see more GM and Chyrsler Corp. vehicles, especially early 50's-60's-70's vehicles.

They need more Aussie and American cars in the game... And hey, if theyve got the cash to spend, why dont they put it down on some Lamborghini and Ferrari models?

BTW: Being that Lamborghini is owned by Audi, wouldnt PD get a "discount" on the cars? The same theory could work with Ferrari, being that they are 40% owned by FIAT, but who knows?

^^^ you really think ferrari will?
P.S. Just because they're owned by 'em, doesnt mean the parent company has any control....could just be sort of a profit sharing thing

Honestly, just HOW important would it be to have Ferrari, Porsche, Lamborghini and such in GT? Again, a game featuring all sorts of car companies doesn't rely on just one featured company to be an eventual hit.

If there were better choices, I'd say more American and Australian cars. The European selection... I sometimes feel like it's enough, but could use maybe 20 to 25 percent more autos. I'll even agree with Live4Speed on the TVR comment, even though I know very little about TVR's lineup that GT is missing (for example, the outlandish looking Sagaris). A specific race car I'm getting into nowadays is the Spyker C8 Laviolette Race Car. The machine has the top chopped off and all replaced by a full racing-spec rollcage. Those Spykers look pretty hot, and the racing variants look sweet as well.

The McLaren F1 is a beautiful and awesome car even in this day and age, right? It's maker, Gordon Murray didn't create a smaller version of the machine, but he did create an auto simply called, the Rocket. It's not called the Rocket because of Roger Clemens. Just wanted to see if you were paying attention. The latest Road and Track Magazine features some light weight cars recently unveiled. And Gordon Murray's Rocket looks more like a modernized 1960s F1 race car. If you love just the look of classic 1960s race cars, then you might like the rocket as well. You know, Noble wouldn't be a bad choice either. The first season of Speed Channel show "Sports Car Revolution" featured the build-up process of a Noble M12 GTO (I believe). The latest Road and Track featured the Noble M400. 425bhp and weighing 2320 lbs. Last but not least, why not the Lotus Exige in GT5?

I'm not "Mr. Sports Cars All The Time" with GT, but I do think including a few more European sports cars and specialty sports cars would boost GT's profile a bit and offer a lot more diversity. If they could only choose one brand, I say to go with Radical, and here's why. I think of Radicals as baby LMPs. Caterhams were nice, but I think if Radical was in GT4, it would be likely you'd be able to race Radicals against others. Can you imagine racing your Radical SR3 against five other Radicals? By the way, if they DO include Radical, I think a One-Make Championship Series would boost Radical's profile in GT5. Let's see what PD wants to do with this deal...

Panoz GTS? It's in one of the new mags, looks great, can't figure out why it wasnt in GT4....it's an 01 or 00, and they only had 1 race car from Panoz, so why didnt they give 'em a street car too?

The results here arn't suprising at all.I still shake my head in disbelief that the big three arn't in the greatest console racing sim of all time. :indiff:

I'd like to see more of Aston Martin and Jaguar in GT5, particulalry the V8 Vantage and the new XK.
Aside from that, I'd appreciate (just like everybody else) Ferrari, Lamborghini and Porsche, and I wouldn't mind Koenigsegg, and maybe even Bugatti!
I'd also love more Aussie cars to be added into the mix, as well as the V8 Supercars.

Gotta be Ferrari, Porsche and Lambo. I was p***ed off straight to hell when I noticed that PGR owners got something that we didnt, mainly talking about Ferrari, because I would've LOVED to have taken an F40(dunno if it was on PGR1, 2, 3) around the Nurburgring, especially in LM version. I doubt Polyphony will get the license for these manufacturers, but I'm just hoping and praying. Added Ferrari to a GT game would make the game just that much better.

Even without Ferrari, Porsche, and/or Lamborghini, would you still find something to love in a GT game? I am a fan of all three companies (especially Ferrari), but I'm okay not seeing them. That's your problem. You let the inclusion of a few bigtime companies decide whether the game is good or not. People talk about the GT series lacking evolution and really changing with each sequel. If that's true, what would make Ferrari, Porsche, and Lamborghini different? It just means that the same gripes you've had racing your Stage 3 NA Dodge Viper with Racing Super-Softs will only mean you'll have to share those same gripes with bigtime car companies. I'd like to see them all myself, but I'm not like "GT5 will be the bestest game alive because of Ferrari, Porsche, and Lamborghini! Am I rite, ppl?" Are these companies THAT important to you? Even Project Gotham Racing and such have other car companies. If these companies were that important, PD would have included them a long time ago so that people would quit b:censored:ing about enjoying some Ferrari in PGR or Forza, but feeling dejected not being able to race them in GT games. What difference does a few storied exclusive car companies make in a game about as many car companies as possible?

Let's face it, this is basically a no contest. People want Ferrari, Porsche, and Lamborghini because unfortunately, all racing games should have these three companies (according to some people). What scientific proof states that racing games with Ferrari, Porsche, and/or Lamborghini makes games better? I'd like to see them, but I'm not obsessed with them. You can go ahead and flame me, say that I'm crazy for not petitioning for Ferrari/Porsche/Lamborghini in GT5, tell me to STFU about what I've said... I don't give a rat's ass. I've been hated on before and you know I'm telling the truth about all this. You just won't admit it.

I don't understand people who don't get why we're hankering after the Ferraris, real Porsches and Lambos. And McLarens for me as well. It's a no brainer that people want the most droolicious supercars they can squeeze in.

What if someone like EA was going to release the ultimate flight sim, and you couldn't have any of the superfighters like the Eurofighter, Mig-29, F-14/15/16/18/22 etc? If it was an awesome game, would we still buy it? Of course we would! I bought Battlefield 1942 because even though it was a klunky WWII sim, it was incredible fun to play. And then of course it was modded into Desert Combat so I was twice as happy.

Will we buy GT5 if it doesn't have Lambourghini or Ferrari and the like? Of course we will. Well, maybe not live4speed since it's not GTR so it'll probably just be a marginal improvement over GT4. Sorry, couldn't resist. :D

But seriously, this is called lobbying. Companies do listen to their customers. Sony does have a LOT of money. Sony is probably paying attention, but who knows for sure. We only bought tens of millions of copies of Gran Turismo, making it only one of the most successful franchises in history. Complaining about people who want to see certain cars in the game is just... well, goofy.

I'm not venting over Ferrari, Porsche, and Lamborghini. I love these companies myself. Only things I hate are the crowds who are more like "I'll only get Gran Turismo if there's Ferrari, Porsche, and/or Lamborghini." Car companies don't make the difference in a racing game, especially in the sense of Gran Turismo. Forza and the PGR series, have fun with these brands. That's the only issue I have. So people, don't think that I hate all three of these companies because I don't hate Ferrari, Porsche, or Lamborghini. My only problem has been the obsession of them. That's been my problem even while GT4 was in the works. If someone says that an upcoming GT game will be "just another GT game," do you think it's going to be any different if any or all of those three companies are included? That same critic would likely say "just another GT, but with Ferrari/Porsche/Lamborghini."

I do believe that while everyday drivers are fun, they can come up with some more historic sports cars and race cars. If you're celebrating RACING history, then it would be a crime not to include Ferrari, Porsche, or Lamborghini. GT tries to be as balanced as possible in terms of the variety of normal cars, race cars, concepts, and more. If a GT is 55% Normal Cars and 25% Racing Cars, a nicer balance would be 55% to 60% Normal Cars and 35% Racing Cars. When I mean Racing Cars, I mean cars already prepared with racing treatment, not tuned race cars into race cars.

But if Ferrari and such are included, I would love to race the Ferrari 333SP, my pick for the most awesome sportscar in racing. It's beautiful, has a lovely roar, and just looks sexy... even under today's standards. Again, I don't like the obsession to see these companies in the game. It isn't going to change any time soon, but I'm at least calm about all of this even if everyone else isn't. If you want these three companies so badly, what would make you happy in terms of seeing these cars in the game? You can talk about everything in terms of sounds, looks, specific cars, etc.

Fair enough. But I think you might be overreacting a scouche. I've only seen a handful of people say they won't buy GT5 if it doesn't have X, Y, or Z supercar. I've seen a few more declare quite vocally that they'll abandon GT entirely if it doesn't have damage or isn't a clone of GTR. But still those bunch are a tiny minority too.

I think out of the 5,000 some odd here on the boards, the number who will play GT5 regardless of what's in it will be.... about the same. :sly:

Porsche, Ferrari, and Lamborghini have such vibrant histories of very desirable sports and supercars. Porsche, my favorite, and Ferrari have enourmous racing histories, and they've been doing it since they were created. Whenever they raced they usually won because of their skill at designing, engineering, and creating new technology. There are so many amazing classic sports cars from all three companies that I would just love to drive. I'm tired of tiny companies that don't have the reputation, or expertise, in sports car manufacturing, like Spyker. Porsche, Ferrari, and Lamborghini are the real kings of the sports car world.
I would love to see more American and European cars in general, but it's about time Kaz and the team realized what they're missing out on.
