I've participated in some GT tournaments in Austin and Dallas. Some were held in Hotel conference rooms, which are surprisingly inexpensive to rent out for a day. In Austin there is even a company that has a location at Northcross Mall where they host such events on a regular basis.

If the group meeting isn't large, then I'm sure we can come up with several options for a location. We do not even have to have a tourney if the majority is more interested in socializing, and or helping each other out into improving our GT driving skills.

howdy! or hola! (Texas' second language) i go to school in San Antonio, but my home town is Pflugerville, which is about 10 mins out of Austin.

Having it at the place that was mentioned above in North Cross mall is an awesome place to have it, ive been there once to play Counter Strike with some friends, pretty cool place.

im down for it.

im interested but i cant go to austin but i live beside dallas...
Same here basically.

It'll depend on when you hold the event. I don't have time to go all the way down to Austin and back these days, and next summer, I could possibly working.

But I'd be for it if we could set something up.

hey i live half way between dallas and houston. i go to college station often, austin, dallas, and houston occasionally. i don't have any friends that play GT4 and was wondering what level of players are you?

i have all gold licenses and am about 40% complete. i have done all the missions except 34 (closest i have been was 6 seconds back). i consider myself a "good" driver, but not the best. i hate playing with anyone who keeps the pedal to the metal and just bangs off walls and other cars.

Lets all go to my house for punch and pie! Well, maybe not. But yeah, I would be down as well if we can get it to where it's not in Austin and I had a ride.

Where at in Houston are you?

I don't live *in* Houston, but rather between it and Galveston. That means to go pratically anyplace around that isn't near the coast, I've got to go through Houston itself, and that can add over an hour to any trip, even with good traffic :indiff:

Yah, I stay near 290 and Hwy. 6/ 1960. I know ALL about getting around in Houston. It's usually about an hour to get to G-town from where I live. Usually. Sometimes more. There was that one time, though, when I got drunk on the beach one night and passed out, then woke up with 45 minutes to get to work. I made it to the beltway and I-10 in half an hour. If my car'd had wings, I'd have lifted off and flew. Anyway, if you're ever up around my part of town, drop in and we'll run a few races and drink a few beers. (The only way to drink and drive!) I have a cockpit setup with a DFP and a bigscreen. PM me for my number.

Hey everyone I'm looking to start up a monthly Gran Turismo 4 tournament in Austin Texas. My friend Chris recently opened his LAN shop Tek Repulik and it would be perfect for this. My company Unreal Entertainment LLC will sponsor the tournaments and provide prizes for winners, including cash prizes, PSPs, copies of Gran Turismo...anything is possible with enough support.

I'm pretty busy with the company and don't have time to check this board. I need everyone interested to start posting on my company's board here.

Please visit the link and post your support!!

Howdy There! I live here in Dallas and I have my Lan and Modem. I'm very interested.
