Nurburgring Gran Turismo All Stars Information

I've written up some information about the Nurburgring Race in Gran Turismo All Stars, I taken note for the first 10 line ups.

I used a Panoz Esperante GTR-1 to see how many A Spec points were given.

I was able to win at N'ring for 200 points using the RX-7 LM Race car. It doesn't have a lot of HP, but it handles very well and is controllable on the bumpy sections as long as the suspension is softened and raised a bit. I'm not sure if I used R2s or R3s. I just added ballast and won by a few seconds.

I raced against the Sauber Merc and Nissan R92CP which seem to be the fastest cars. I saved that race until last. The pace is so fast and bumpy. Race it a couple of times. Sometimes the AI cars screw themselves making for an easy win. Their top speeds don't seem to be that fast either, so you can make up a lot of time on the straighter sections.

RX-7 LM is way easy on tires and fuel. I ran a couple Grand Valley(?) enduro's last night, and the AI rx-7 LM pitted noticeably less per race. So I tried one with it on Bspec Bob, and it ran longer laps per pit, and way less fuel per lap. Times were a hair slower than my Camaro LM, but the longer span between pits helped it immensely.

Great job George, but this belongs to the Race Report rather than to the main GT4 forum.
Did you notice a regular pattern in the line-ups you are facing ? I think I remember that someone found a pattern in the Special Conditions races.

I did'nt really notice a pattern but I noticed on the back straight, the Group C cars (old ones from late 80's early 90's), can only reach around 165 Mph, which is how the Gillet Vertigo was able to overtake the Mercedes CLK GT-R and Nissan R92CP.

By pattern, I mean the following :
When you start the race you have a certain AI line-up.
After the race is over, leave and select the same race again, you'll have a different line-up.
Do it several times, and you should see that the same line-ups come back in the same order.

It might not be a pattern, but every line up seemed to have a backmarker car which always falls behind and laps in the 6'50-7'00 range other than the 7'20-7'40 by everyone else.

Cars I think are backmarkers.

Hmm... I noticed that, say, on the Easy Specials, there will be the Toyota Celica '85, the Renault Turbo 5, and another one (Lancia, I think), but sometimes the Audi Quattro '80 popped up...
