Grindwald Time Trial And Hybrid Testing

Hello and welcome to the Grindwald time trial for GT2. The idea of this time trial was thought
up in a different thread, the link will be at the bottom of this post. Anyways here are the rules.

All car types are allowed(road,tuner,concept,rally and race)

All drivetrains are allowed(FF,AWD,FR,RR and MR)

All mods are allowed except weight(explained below)

There is a rule on weight, there will be two leader boards, one for cars with no weight reductions
and one for cars with all weight reductions and racing mods as well(includes cars that come as
race cars). And each drivetrain class will have it's own leader board so FF car will not be racing
against MR cars. I would like all entry's to look like this, which can be posted here or PMed to me.

Now here will be a leaderboard for hybrids. We can use this for testing,
and not to compair time's because most hybrids are built different.
There are some rule's I would like to be used when making a hybrid.

No more than 1000HP, there is no limit on Torque

No more than 1.00 of downforce on the front and rear of the car

I will give a template on how I would like a entry for a hybrid.

I decided to follow Sucayo and do a run in the Subaru 360. First I had to buy one. Which card has a 360?? Dang, I got like 10 memory cards and the one with all Japanese cars hasn't got it. And nothing in the used car lot, either!

Well I finally located one...and best I could do was 1:35.765. But I didn't try very hard, either. I forgot how grippy the 360 can be once you got all the parts on.

The Subaru 360 really give me problem when tuning too, I have to maximize understeer ................

Yeah, i was boosting the front bound dampers to try & make more understeer, too. It's funny, once that little car gets itself planted down, you have to either live with it or try and force it to do otherwise. Then again, i doubt anyone in real-life ever put super-sticky slick tires on a 360!

I have updated the first post, but to Parnelli Bone, if you can I would like to
have a full entry. I you can't then I will post that time with the spec from
sucahyo car as that the specs you most likely used. And I think I will try the
Subaru 360 too, it is one of my favorite cars after all.

What do you mean by full entry?

What I mean is how sucahyo put down his times, but is your using the same setup
as him then I will put your entry down like that but with your name and time.
And if I may ask, how does the thread look. Does it look like the way you wanted it?

Subaru 360 /no weight mods/ 1:35.765 / 148 hp / Supersoft tires, full-custom suspension, brakes, LSD & transmission

Sucahyo used the garage hp..in reality it's higher than 142....i believe 148 is correct for both of us.

Anyways, now that there's 3 of us doing Subaru 360 TT's, i may have to jump back in mine tomorrow and get to work!

..and yeah it looks fine. I don't have many prize cars, i'm afraid..im' in the habit of selling them (at least all the best ones) so i'll jump in occasionally when yall do a car i can buy...

Ok thanks, and I get my horsepower from the gerage so that why I have
been putting that down. I will put your time up there, and I will try the 360
tomorrow because when I try it tonite I almost fell asleep when I was driving.

I use 7/1 stabilizer. This car really need a lot of concentration to drive, in GT4 this car have other surprising behaviour too .

Just so you know, the track hp is always the correct one to go by. Take a Renault Clio (not the Sport..the 16v). The dealer/garage quotes it way high (i think 160 hp but that might be wrong). Take it to the test track and you can see it really only has 108 hp. When you start running some tests, it's clear that the Clio drives really slow...0 to 60 in over 11 seconds, which means the track hp is correct.

I use garage, because it give smaller number than track. In my disc Renault 16v show 171hp in dealer, 106hp in garage, 108hp in track.

As a suggestion...how about having "simulation tire" classes? We could use the rules and classes already listed, except have a seperate group that is restricted to simulation tires. As far as getting proof that the records were set with sim-tires...well, I guess we'd have to use common sense and the trust code lol.

Formulanone (the man formally known as Pupik) was gonna try getting thru GT2 (the entire game) on sim tires...but apparently he gave up...last i heard he was doing the FF races i think!

The only music that gets me in the mood for racing is by the "overhead valve quartet". Or perhaps a bit of dual-turbo sonet is in order. I really love the sound of the Cobra Header Concertó. hee he

Setting these records drove me INSANE

I probably did at least 100 laps to make each time, along with the tuning process...so I'm pretty exhausted right now lol

It may be a while before I try to set some new records (probably FF class next), because "business" is picking up, and I'll be very busy the rest of this month and the next.

After that...my domination will continue!!!
