Congratulations everyone, we made it to Week 100 of the GT4 PhotoMode Competition!
Quite a feat to reach 100 total weeks for one competition. I just want to take this opportunity to say thanks to Slick6 and Brock5000 for running the competition from the beginning, but most of all thanks to everyone who has participated. This competition has been a great experience for me and will be for a quite a while still yet. Be sure to cast your vote in my "Best of the Best" polls that I will be posting up shortly in the photomode competitions forum.

"Beat the Devil"
  • "The theme...is based on one of the BMW Films installment, "Beat The Devil". Take a BMW Z4 road car and photograph it racing against a muscle car."

Eligible Cars
  • BMW Z4, Any muscle car

Locations
  • Any track. No phototravel.

  • You must use only your own work that has not previously been entered in any competition.
  • Only one entry may be submitted, mark it clearly as Final Entry.
  • Use to host your entry and copy the 'Thumbnail for forums' code into your post.
  • You may change your Final Entry once. If you do so, please edit your original entry make a new post linking to it. Minor updates to the same image are allowed.
  • Do not ask other members to choose your final entry.
  • Additional photos may only be posted in the form of either two honorable mentions in thumbnail form, or a single preview image that does not to exceed 400x300 pixels in size.
  • Photoshop or other graphics programs may only be used to crop, resize, adjust brightness, contrast or gamma, rotate, add a border or small signature, or to remove the "Gran Turismo/©SCEI" watermark, if you so wish.
  • If you don't have Photoshop or other professional image management software, try a shareware one such as IrfanView or GIMP.
  • Photoshop or other graphics programs may NOT be used to change levels, hue, saturation, sharpen, apply filters or otherwise manipulate the image in any form.
  • When using brightness and/or contrast filters to alter an entry, it must be uniform throughout the entire picture.

ok, this is wayyyy to specific of a theme, and i have no photos of that car, and my disc wont work!!!!!!!!! =[

Can it be a modern muscle car such as a Dodge Viper?
 
considering the odds of getting or not getting an old muscle car in the same race, for sure a modern one will do. it's so special having my theme featured in this comp, with my winning entry being used as a banner for the week 100, which is a very special time for the PMC. can't wait to see the entries!

It took me a while to get this shot, I had to try various AI settings on the same track before I got the Cougar XR-7. I set the AI to -3 incase you're wondering!

Whoa, specific theme. Should bring some interesting shots. I always find it hard to try and get a certain car with another certain car. I wish you could take photos of two player races, that would be so sweet. :D

Your shots seem to be getting better & better M3, Nice work 👍! Don't know if I like that border too much though.
 
Ah, the great 100th competition; Nice theme too.

Now I've just got to pick a muscle to race against. Now what would James Brown do...
 
I was tryong last night to get a shot done for this comp, but couldn't figure out how I can enter a race with the Z4 and have at least ONE muscle car as an opponent, how are you guys doing it?

And I mean a old muscle car, like Mog (great new sig, btw - looks like a kitten :) ) did on his shot.

My Z4 have like 340 bhp and I always get at least one muscle car i a family cup race, then I nail him down and let everybody pass and violá you have a two car battle......
 
The one I wanted to use has about 460hp, does that mean I have to lower it's power in order to have those cars apppearing during the family cup?
So far the only ones I'm getting are the Ford GT and the occasional Viper SRT10...

I lowerd my bhp to around 340 and then raised it up again after entering :sly:
 
Cocaine is one hell of a drug. I'll get my entry in today.

Great shot Art(555)Ukraine, really different from the movie and that's a good thing. I for one wanted the great lighting in that movie. I did my utter best because this is week 100, i wanted that to be something special.

Btw, the Z4 has crappy textures. Especially in the rear, the shading looks more like mud splats.​
 
A lot of cool entries. I am not sure about mine, I wanted to have a shot that looked like it was taken from a movie. Tell me what you think because I am thinking of changing it.

100 weeks! Three cheers for everyone who has entered over the years and also to those who vote. Special thanks to Slick 6 who got it up and running and to everyone who has helped keep this and the other photomode comps alive.

Yes, 100 weeks! I remember doing this religiously awhile ago and I think i'll start doing this again next week. Great entries so far they are looking good! 👍

:bowdown: That shot has real atmosphere to it, something which is often difficult to capture in GT4. I love the small hint of light on the rear of the Z4. Amazing work, Drift!

Very nice! I like the fact that the wheel blur looks quite like on my shot, is it because of the rims?
