ah, now that is inovative, I've drivin it that way for fun before..... cool twist 👍

great week again sjaak 👍 and thanks for posting early. tuesday will be a tsukuba day for me in a car from a favvie brand ... yummie!

This reminds me of TT... funnily enough, in TT I always ended smashing into the wall :mischievous:

I did that a bunch when I first started GT4 but it's been a long time since I even thought about that chicane. :dopey: Nice call, keeps it interesting... 👍👍

this looks fun. :)

I'll get some quick laps in....

...
13.101
31.828

Default TopSpeed.

So I'm off to Lime Rock tomorrow morning to race in my BMW 325is. And here I am going to race in a 320i touring car for WRS. Nice timing there sjaak.

This is going to sound odd... I managed a few laps, but on one, I wiped out all the cones, which of course, isn't valid. But on the following laps, I went really close to the rumble strips, but since there weren't any cones left, I could argue I didn't touch them :P So, if I were to submit that time, the replay would show I haven't knocked out any cones.

I like to complicate things

haha nice try :sly: 👍 in all fairness though if you had run the 2nd lap faster when there was no cones to knock over and saved it ... the replay would still show them being knocked over to the best of my knowledge :P

I shall try this one, I think, work permitting.

As an aside, Suzuka uses the coned off chicane on Tourist Trophy. This will be fun. I did some drift shots with an AMG Mercedes around this Tsukuba route a couple of weeks ago.

No work today so I've done some more laps on this great combo. 👍

12.979
31.290

I believe this combo will suit the wheel more than the DS2 I'm using.

I was going to take my Z there today. I have to work in NYC instead! Have fun. I saw a bunch of cool cars going there on my way out of town: 911, 914, Evo, STI... why oh why do I have to work! :ouch:

It seems the deadline is 10AM PST, so Georgia is three hours ahead of me if you're on the same time zone as Virginia, so 1PM for you there DARCwizard.

This is an interesting combo, but I don't think I'll be making the time to race it... Have fun guys!

Guess I will have to dust off my Bspec guys helmet so he can get me some money to buy this car so I can race.

Using that chicane is a good idea, I had never used that corner before. Now, sometimes I forget I must turn right and instead I go straight :dopey:

So far, my splits are:
13.047
31.490
Using top speed of 220 kmh (I think it's better than 210 because I don't have to use 5th gear after t1 and after t2)

first decent splits: 13.441 - 32.895

driving the gear at 220 feels different from 330 but laptime isnt much affected.

GTK, are you on a ds2 or dfp? leave a post & i'll update luxy. thanks!

EDIT updated up to post 25 avoiding double posting. welcome back dan!
thanks to jon (is that your name gtk?) for pm'ing me his steering device.

hey, used 210 gears:tup:

12.923
31.142

2nd gear 67, then 2nd, for double right i engine brake down to 92 ish hitting the second rumble only, then tap again at 105 for the fast left (avoiding cones) then its second again at 56 and fro the last corner i veer ont he grass then turn in to it, engine brake down to 137, then power out, avoiding any contact with the rumbles, shift after the redline, time submitted great combo, love the chcikane idea:idea:

13.170
31.760

Using 230 topspeed.

I seem to have found a little bit of time after expermenting with some different lines from start to T2(ahem darc hint).
New Splits:
T1: 13.069
T2: 31.913
It is only .0xx better for final lap time, but theres a huge improvment in my splits. I just need to work on the two corners after T2 and that would bring my overall time down a bit.
