After selling my Supra a few months back, I had originally planned on getting another Supra. A stock hardtop, to be specific. I found two extremely cleaned examples. After both sellers backed out (realized what a gem they had), I was a little discouraged, and decided to look for a while, and found my new toy (click thumbnails for larger view):
Protected for the journey home:

Cleaned up:

It's a 1994 R2 model, which shouldn't mean much if you're not really familiar with the cars, but it's a rare/desireable trim. Oh, and those are the original tires. ;)

One of the most beautiful cars ever made. You're going to make a lot of people jealous. Great choice!

Thanks! I'm not all that keen on the looks, but it's a better balls-out performance car than the Supra, which is what I want. Almost forgot, some pictures with my friend's car:

A wonderfully beautiful un-molested (mostly) RX-7? God I hope you keep it that way...

^Funny you should say that. I just found the right LS2 a couple days ago, and I may already have a buyer for the rotary.

99.95% perfect car. I just have issues with the rediculously large exhaust. Otherwise, its a stunningly beautiful car.

For some reason it sticks out much more in the pictures than in real life. It's not very flashy at all, and it's one of the quietest you can get for these cars. Not that I like it, though. I'll be getting rid of that with the rotary, hopefully.

Wow. Amazing. Why ditch the rotary? You can still make it stupid fast with it, can't you?

What a beautiful machine. Looks stunning. I want it.

How much did you get it for?

RENESIS SWAP TIME!!!

Ahaha! 4.56 gears, 9krpm redline, mmm...

And, from what I've heard, the turbo cars are finicky, but not time bombs. An NA rotary will go forever so long as you keep an eye on the oil level.

Oh, yes, I meant to run 4.56 gears, not that a swap would INCLUDE them. Sorry for the double, but the computer I am on is too slow to get back to the thread and hit edit (I hit quote instead, d'oh!)

And it's the comp itself that is so slow. 266 processor.

There's a few LS1 Rexs around my area, and at the local track one of them busts out low 11s all day long. It's slightly built, but still, it's an LS1. Imagine if you built and LS2 and dropped it in there!

The car sounds absloutely fantastic, too. The cat-back is obviously tuned for a rotary, which makes the V8 sound like something from Ferrari.

That is a very nice RX-7 you have got there Troux:tup: - its look is simple is yet effective:tup:. I have always been a fan of RX-7's

Your friends car looks great too:tup:

LS1 FD FTW!

20B> any lolrod-engine in that car.. unless.. it's Cammer V8 etc..

So an LS2 is a piece of crap? lol I'd rather have that than any rotary. Much easier to keep up and mod around here. Plus more power.

Oh yea nice car dude 👍 Looks awsome! Can't wait to see what you do with it. Your's looks better than your friends, I don't like that no spoiler look.

I'm sorry but I strongly disagree with people when they dismiss doing a V8 swap in a Japanese car. There is nothing wrong with it, infact I think its brilliant. And lets face it Rotaries aren't as reliable as the small block Chevy (queue YSS). So an RX-7 owner would actually be trading UP by dropping in a traditional engine. And with the LSx series (among other engines) all aluminum means its lighter than you think so it won't throw off the 50/50 weight of the RX-7.
