I know a few guys have started racing in SNAIL sundays again but lets start thinking about how (or if) we should get the DTC going again. What type of racing do you guys enjoy the most? When do you think the DTC was at its Best? Are there any racing ideas you would like to try?

I like what we got going. Its just summer time and I am too busy to play any PS game. Don't think I have played a game in 2 months. About the middle of August I should be back in the swing of things again.

Unfortunately, I haven't turned the PS3 on in weeks. A competitive racing series with a great group of guys would get me back in though... ;)

Where could I find something like this?

For me, it's not the format. I like it. It's more of the grid sizes and the inconsistency of people showing up to race.
Yea and that is the big issue. How do we get a consistent 10-12 on track. That seems to be the magic number. I agree in a 40 minute race 6 people is not enough.

I'm ready whenever everyone is.

We have the combos already :)

If you guys are up for firing up the DTC Event Lets do it. :cheers:What Day and Time makes the most sense? Should we still do Sunday night?

What I am talking about is slightly different. I just want to try and get a group of great friends and racers in a room for about an hour. @AJKVail, @Drgreenthumb977 and I were thinking Friday night from 11pm-12pm eastern (8-9pm Western) This should be an hour that I can carve out on a semi-regular time. There will be no scoring, no points but hopefully lots of fun. Green has come up with some great combos using classic cars and I think they will be a lot of fun. No real need to practice. We are thinking of posting 2-3 combos we will run. Everyone will just show up and have fun on track and via chat. We will likely use the Gentlemen Yellow system so we should keep the racing close. All will of course be welcome but I would love to see as many DTC'ers as possible.

@tezgm99, @88GTA, @Kgffy, @GGGMotorsport, @Zii1993,@dylansan, @fzappa, @Starvsnr, @Zii1993, @socalnatv

If people show up and enjoy it them maybe we will start something official. But for now I just need track time with my buddies:cheers:

Here are the cars you will need to have for Friday night along with the tires and tracks they will run on:

1 Chevrolet Nova SS '70 @ Tokyo R246 - SM
2 Volkswagen Golf '78 @ Tsukuba - CS
3 Camaro z28 '69 @ Languna Seca - SM

Sorry guys my main focus is pcars and my sat enduring series on pcars. If any of you have a ps4 and pcars head over here for multi class endurance racing.

@jobyone
This Friday, 8/7 11pm EST? I'm in.

Those tires are way too sticky though. I would prefer CS on the muscle cars and CM on the Golf with tire wear very fast.
I think they will make for good racing but I am sure we can mess around from week to week to get thing to hit the sweet spot

Does anyone have pcars or assetto corsa on a pc that they play? I saw this and must say I find it intriguing. For about the price of a ps4 I could get a gaming PC and still use my G27.

I would love to know who else out there has the ability to play pcars on a pc

Giving you the advice both @cmbeal317 and @kcheeb gave me; graphics card and memory are key for gaming. I reckon you'd probably need more of both than what that link provides :)

Car lineup for friday night:)

I want to join you guys! have you found good grid sizes on pcars on the PC?

Last race I did was last week where we had ten of us driving the Evora GT4 car around the RB Ring for 20 laps. Top 3 in qualifying were separated by 0.019 with fourth a tenth back. I was stuck in the middle; not able to match those guys, but faster than the rest so I ended up fourth in the end as one guy dropped out and another made an error with three laps to go and I was able to hold him off.

Edit: I should point out that this is AC since I don't have PCars.

Do you have Assetto Corsa? And are you available Saturdays around 9:30 AM MDT?

This weekend we're running a tune up for the two series I'm in at CMS:

Lotus Evora GTC @ Tor Poznan

AC GT3 cars @ Eastern Creek

There will be 3 or 4 of us, casual run, we use TeamSpeak3 for comms.

Let me know if you want to join us.

sorry guys. Like zii, my focus is moving to pCARS and RCS. That and fridays are tough for me to race. Was a lot of fun while it lasted for me

I am also unable to race Friday. I will race the RCS on Wednesday until I can afford a wheel and race PCars and ditch the PS3.

We had a good run and tons o fun :)
