Great racing last night everyone and special thanks to @WhiterunGuard for giving the series a try. I hope our useless banter did not annoy or offend.

What is the tie breaker after finishing place? Tez and Ken both finished in a 1, 3, 4, 5 and tied in points. I put Tez 2nd because he qualified higher in the first race but I'm not sure how it this gets resolved.

As for the time trial, I'm lucky more people didn't run it but I'll take the win. It was a very fun combo and the tires were perfect for sliding around Ascari. I'll do some testing thinking and come up with the next combo.

Qualifying position should be the tie breaker so you did it correctly.

I am way outmatched in driving skill here, but that will probably just help me get faster...and that poor Lexus never stood a chance, does it understeer a bit more in online mode or am I just imagining it?

Don't worry about being outmatched. I myself am mediocre at best and it's taken me a long time just to get to here and there's still a lot to learn. Keep in mind some of the folks here are well experienced and D1 SNAIL (except @kendawg who cheats!). Just keep at it and you'll get there. Most here have a wheel which is a good investment, but @Kgffy is the wacky exception. The most important thing is to have fun!

My choice for the DTC Time Trial is from group C (450-501pp) with FR layout:

Maserati Gran Turismo S '08 496pp at Monza '80s.

Comfort Soft tires.

If yes, buy a Thrustmaster T300 RS. If no, buy a Logitech G27.

Week 2 of the DTC TT has been chosen. I will setup the event later tonight and it will go live at midnight. This is open to any member of the club. If you are not a member of the club the id is 1005073. It will be a Time Trial event. This weeks event will be with the:

DTC Time Trial
Week 2 - Closed
Maserati Gran Turismo S '08
@
Monza '80s​

The car will of course be stock (PP - 496, HP - 461, Weight - 1780kg) and will run on Comfort Soft tires. The event will run from Wednesday - Tuesday. I want to keep this short and sweet so would like people to accept the gentleman's agreement that they will only spend 20 minutes on the time trial with no practice. This combo was chosen by @88GTA.

The person with the fastest time at the end of the event will get to choose the next event (no testing). The only guidelines on choosing the next combo is that it be a different drivetrain and different class (based on PP). Tires will be 1 harder than the car comes with from the Dealership. the classes are:

Under 401PP (A)
401-450PP (B)
451-500PP (C)
501 and Up (D)


You get 1 pt for taking part. You get an additional 3 for 1st, 2 for 2nd and 1 for third. The participation bonus will increase for each consecutive week you take part. So if you have run 4 week in a row you get 4 for taking part of your 4th time trial. Missing a week resets your participation bonus.

To run the event you need to do the following:
1. Go to the community section and go to the DTC Club (Club id: 1005073)
2. Go to the events and click on the current Time Trial
3. Create a room from the Time Trial event. This will create a room with all the correct settings and restrictions
4. Once in the room start the Race (Time Trial). This will give you 20 minutes to set your time
5. Once the event is done save your replay. Your results will automatically be posted to the event comments.

I have a ps4 so Thrustmaster then, but how much is it on average.

On Black Friday I believe it was down to $300 but normally it is around $400.

I have been looking at them also. While I only have a ps3 and G27 I know I will get a ps4 once a good driving game comes out for it (Pcars or GT7). So I would like to know that I have a wheel that will work. The TS300 is looking like a good candidate. Biggest downside is I want 3 pedals and a H pattern shifter so that will add another $250 to it. I wish they did a bundle for say $500. A lot of money but it is supposed to be a good set.

I do feel pretty awful about that. What started as a great race and should have ended that way, was ruined by trying to honk the horn in the middle of a corner.

And I forced him off the road several times from many car lengths away using only my mind

I have an idea maybe a Thursday event, pick 4 cars with different drivetrain and those are only 4 cars u can use but u can use in any order, example Honda S2000 423pp fr/ Honda intergra type r'04 Ff 419pp/ vauxhall vx220 turbo 423pp mr/ vw golf lv r32'03 423pp 4wd, I think trying something like this would create close racing, strandgy would be when to use car.
