Loving it

Edit;
And your avatar with the Anniversary Z8 looks like Michael Schumacher.

@gkgamer has been spotted in Monaco doing practice laps..

Team Bridge's number 1 driver has a house in Monaco. Mallet Towers, just near the casino. If he's not betting his 7th place pay cheques from Helloween on the roulette tables he might be able to head to the track & take a look at your cars?

Thanks for letting Team Bridge race with you guys tonight, it was absolutely superb. 👍

The post race party at Mallet Towers is, however, cancelled. After our driver recklessly got himself a 50 second penalty for failing to pit, despite radio contact & a very clearly marked board, we have sent him to bed without any supper. The ensuing tantrum left us with no choice and he is grounded until further notice. We won't be informing him that the crew failed to change his oil & he lost several performance points over the course of the evening, his head would explode.

Cheers everyone. :)

Thanks for joining, Mallet. And my driver just broke his leg out on the Nordschleife so I am on the look out for a playboy type driver, yours sound like just the sort we need.
Any chance of lending him to us? We'd pay a hefty wad of cash for his services, naturally.

I still feel rather sheepish that you all aborted your races for my sake. I would have done the same if it had been someone else, but it doesn't change the fact that I feel sheepish.
Nevertheless, I thank you.

I loved our fight at Laguna, Goofy. For once I could keep your pace and even outrun you. :)

It's a deal. The team is going to be closed down for 3 months now anyway so it would be good for him to have some direction in life.
You know what he's like though, you take your own risks here by taking him on.;)

Great event awesome races today :)

Monaco race was very dynamic, inch by the barriers, but IfAndOr sent a memo earlier, so was fine (except small Z8 kiss with Goofy:))

Mechanic missed the setup settings in Laguna, i managed to miss the tarmac few times :)
Bathurst was on the heart attack limit , i don`t know how Dusty is so fast - nuclear V8 maybe or radioactive colour 💡

+1 since the restart gave me a undeserved 2nd chance after shamefully rage quitting on the start line, rammed and damaged by GETTHOYOUD.
I immediately thought about calling a restart and a kick on the wanker but I didn't dare to disturb the ongoing race.
Your pit "incident" finished convincing me to call restart also because I expected you to refrain from doing so yourself.
so thank you all for the restart and the always mannered racing.
and the forgiveness when I make stupid moves...

Look what I've found on the newspaper this morning :

Several cars involved in a crash at Bathurst
November, 5th

The blood was running high at Mount Panorama Circuit yesterday evening when the lights turned off. Maybe too high. The Z8 Champ Club (Z8CC) is well known for its fierce and reckless drivers running on the most dangerous tracks all over the world, ready for anything to stand on the highest step of the podium.
After successfully managing to pass the so called Hell corner (turn 1) the pack flew at light speed on the long Mountain straight. Everyone thought we had passed the most critical point of the race but none could predict what was going to happen... Just few yards ahead of turn 2, driver #92, ElCondensator, lost control of his car, implying several other cars on the way.

"I had a good start and I had the inside line at turn 1." said ElCondensator after the race, "We were 3 cars wide on the straight so we didn't have much space. And then I saw #8 car [ed. note: gkgamer] in front of me was weaving after he touched the grass on the side of the track, so I lift off to avoid him. But that wasn't enough and I lost control of my car trying to avoid contact at all cost."

#8 gkgamer's onboard camera (rear) few seconds before the carnage

Actually his reaction had the opposite effect : he pushed OilPressure which in turn pushed #37 car (M_Mallet_Jr) off the track who crashed heavily in a wall further down the track. Spd_Junky was caught in the smash, breaking his steering column while #44 WheelerTurner somehow managed to pass through (I mean litterally) the drifting cars.

"I'm certainly not proud of myself" continued ElCondensator, "I managed to finish the race 9th but I'm really not proud knowing that I ruined others' race."

None of the drivers in the paddocks wished to commentate further the incident.

I apologize for everyone entangled in this wreck party, OilPressure, M_Mallet, Spd_Jnky and few others I think. We all had to crawl for an entire lap to the pits ! :D

I have gone through the replays and will have the results and standings up soon, hopefully before the Mini's.

But first I'd like to share a photo I took from a balcony up in Mallet Towers of Dusty's rather unusual crossing of the finish line when he took his first win of the night.
I don't believe Schumacher ever tried anything quite like this..

Yes of course, it's an open Club.
Room settings, schedule, statistics, points scoring system, previous and current points standings and a great promo trailer made by Manny (@MannYhAvitZ)
all available in post #1.

The next Z8 races is Saturday, November 8th at 8pm GMT. o_O that's a lot of eights. :)
For once I'm not at work this Saturday! Count me in!

Not sure if I'm being blind and missing the obvious but what track are we on Saturday?

A spokesperson for Team Bridge has issued the following statement.
"Accidents happen, everyone had fun"
👍

Tuesday's races saw the biggest attendance yet. Very nice to see the Z8 'regulars'
and there were also quite a few new faces joining in.

I invited 'tomutomu' as he and I raced a lot of gokarts in the summer.
He seemed to struggle with rear grip all through the day but he bagged many points nevertheless! 👍

For Saturday's races we'll go to Spa for 8 laps and Monza (modern) for 10 laps.
Both with sunny weather and 6 minutes solo qualifying plus a mandatory pit stop.

The driver who finishes second in the second race will decide where the third race will be held at.
Laps/pit stops will be decided then, depending on what circuit gets chosen.

The current points standings will be added to post #1 👍
thanks for your patience
