AYE...by the way:D

But with Bugatti and Hyundai arriving imminently and many others set to follow (Audi, Daihatsu,
Ford, GM, Honda, Lamborghini, Tesla) the series would look at thirty weeks minimum in length and that
wouldn't be very practical.
It would probably be a record, though.
Hence why I wouldn't do it justice but a simpler version I would do my best to attend and promote. :)

the Dodgy TT club
I've done 2 of these. Great fun but I'm quite slow I think:D

Thanks @JockeP22 and all others around here for the great times! But nothing is constant except change...

AYE! 👍

A VGT series is something that is missing and no one seems to be planning for one either.

We started to make a VGT shuffle list as it seems most of the not-so-far-out VGT cars are pretty comparable performance-wise. So maybe it's possible to let two or more carefully selected cars compete in a race...

Well there seems to be a wake going on here. ;)

There's been some good times with the original Z8C and then the CC, so it is indeed a shame that Jocke's new commitments have unfortunately had to bring it to a halt. But that's life and like Jocke says, he's not entirely hanging up his *GTBoots™© yet. Hopefully there's some fun to be had yet with GT6 and Jocke. I'm sure his creative brain won't be entirely subdued - it just needs a rest for awhile.

So JP, thanks for those good times.

I am also quite looking forward to maybe seeing a Nitro Kei Car Club come to life Paul. ;)
I don't know about this. Not sure if it would last. Still toying with the idea.

You've got me thinking of doing something with the VGT's now. They'd fit in with my (on hold) GT6 community club idea "Unreal Racing" . Fictitious cars around fictitious tracks (PD's). You can't get anymore unreal than that.
I'll go away and let the old cogs in the brain work for awhile and see what ideas and refinements they can come up with. It'll hopefully be fairly simple.

Aye, aye captain.
Not sure about comforts though, I'd like a bit of grip now. Perhaps a "Sports Club" is whats needed. ;)

* GTBoots™© - The real footwear simulator. Coming "soon".

(You don't need to "like" this post Jocke - you might need to save a "like" for elsewhere :sly:)

Superb VGT combo selection @JockeP22! 👍 Sorry for bailing out so soon, but combating fatigue and my last second (stupid) changes to the brake balance was too much for me.:ouch: Yeah, i know, i should have mapped the real time BB settings somewhere...

I really hope something comes out of that VGT vision, i think i saw the light... :sly: :)

Yea, thanks again Jocke and all of Jocke's friends :bowdown:

For Zolon's suggestion, one more careful "aye" from here. I'd prefer 400 - 550 PP Stock Premium cars on CM/CS without limiters... Based on the interest check of my club I am in minority :boggled:

In the meantime I can be found from Zero Cup and Makeshift Shuffle Clubs.

BTW. Interesting how the two VGT's seemed so similar on "paper"... I liked the Alpine much more. The VW seemed too grippy and Arcadish even on CS. Lots of downforce, I assume...

Hi chaps, one thing I'm cautiously optimistic about is that there seems to be a degree of determination to continue. We all have our preferences, and what Jocke has done very well is balance those within his own parameters, and produced enjoyable racing for all.

The challenge of trying to continue in that endeavour is one I'm prepared to have a crack at, and if I get it right we can hopefully carry on racing merrily together.....................

So, Jocke's mates it is, Tuesday evenings 8pm GMT, look out for the new thread.

Cheers, Zo.

@JockeP22 Why was I removed from your Comfort Club? I don't understand... :(

Harsk, I think that maybe he's deleted the club? A change of circumstances has stopped him from being able to devote enough time to do it justice.

The faithful are going to keep the group together, hopefully. I think that your suggestion of racing with the old Alpine is a good one and hope to see an evening using it coming soon :)

Cheers, Zo.

Me too Zo, but the problem is that I have to arrange an day for the Alpine Racing. But I don't know if it would be a good idea to do this at the next 1 or 2 weeks, as I don't want to make people fail. If I'm going to host the Alpine Racing, then I want people to participate.

I have also more ideas like the 1 Lap Magic of Renault, for example.

And anyways, the Alpine Racing could be an Time Trial instead of normal racing.

What do you think?

My hope is that it will find it's way into the regular Tuesday schedule Harsk. (have you seen 1660 and 1661 above?) It's a smashing motor.

We could, perhaps, run two races one of the nights, first stock on C/S, then at the regs you suggest, on S/H? I certainly want to see it raced. We did some stock on S/H with GBRC recently, it was a delight to slide around.

Cheers, Zo.

I saw the posts #1660 and #1661 above.

Well, it's an good idea. 👍

I have been thinking for around 1-2 minutes and I decided that I should add more cars to the tuesday's race.

Good work Zolon I would love to be there for the first race but alas work will be preventing me from being at home that night, very sorry but look forward to another meeting.

Well, here's the following races that I'm planning to do:
Race #1 & 2
(Rally)

Mitsubishi Lancer 1600 GSR Rally Car '74 (120 HP/885 kg)
Nissan Bluebird Rally Car '69 (130 HP/965 kg)

These cars have been tested at this track. Their lap times are sepparated by just 0.534 seconds, meaning, they are equal.

Race #3

What do you think?

Well, here's the following races that I'm planning to do:

A point I would make about these regs Harsk, is that, although I'm a zero ABS user myself, I realise that there are plenty of people who don't have the time to get into it. By having zero ABS compulsory you will be severely limiting the number of potential racers.

Fun to notice that the latest 500pp seasonal is CS or less! Nod of approval from Kaz ;)

And what a belter it is! It has reminded me of how superb the BMW M3 CLS is. It's about the most user friendly car in the game on C/S tyres. I've got to fit a Tuesday night in with it.

Cheers, Zo.

Ah! Started to notice that. Anyways, this plan is still being planned, therefore, nothing is final yet.

Those old cars have standard brakes made out of cheeze ;) you need Brake Balance valu of 8-10 before getting any kind of lock with ABS0. But yea, it keeps people out... Which is sad, really.

Thanks for last Tuesday everybody.
The final race at Red Bull Ring in the VW Roadster VGT kind of felt like completing
a full circle for me.

The Roadster was only the sixth car I acquired in GT6 on June 29th of last year,
before I even learned how to save a replay. I had only played the game for a few
days then.

First track I drove it on was at the Red Bull Ring! Fourteen months on and we all
raced it at RBR. :)
Thanks for that. And I must admit I laughed out loud on the final lap as half the field
ran out of fuel, myself included. What a perfect ending. Everybody had a chance to win it.

Some pictures from the two races this week;

I also found this while looking at old photos.
From when the club was about 3½ weeks old;

Dusty, Paul, gk, suts and bergele. :)
We all kept on racing together. Really cool.

I like my colour it seems to be called sun burst.
It's too bad Max hadn't entered the track in a Z8
when I snapped that photo. It would have been nice to
see 16 of them but if my memory serves me well I think Max
DC:ed moments after the photo was taken.
He DC:ed a lot back then.

I feel the need to point something out here. Autumn Ring Mini is only 1.2km long.
Half a second on such a short track is an enormous difference.

That would come to several seconds on a full length track.

No Jocke. Half a second isn't a big difference.
