Yep. Its becoming an annual thing for us now. Missed last year but I was there for that last lap battle between Kesolowski and Ambrose in 2012 and the huge pileup the year before.
Now if we could just get F1 to come back I would wet my pants...

I think we all would.

That was a great battle between Ambrose and Keseloski. Intense, no holds barred racing.

The crowd was going absolutely crazy. It was amazing.

It wasn't quite as intense, but I was in turn 4 for the Atlanta race where Edwards got his first win by passing Johnson on the outside for the photo finish. There was a group in front of us who were all Johnson fans (may have been Lowe's employees). They were quite disappointed.

Just a quick update for those who were maybe going to race tonight. No one's been able to connect to my room, so I shut it down. I'm going to see if Bionic can set one up. If not, we may be SOL this week. Though it didn't look like it was going to be much of a crowd tonight anyway...


Edit: Well Bionic set up a new room, but I couldn't get in. Race is postponed to future date. It's getting irritating having to say that. C'mon PD, get your servers fixed!

I also went to the 2007 Daytona 500, where Martin and Harvick had their photo finish. Sat right in front of the big one, but couldn't see the finish.
Then on the drive back to the campground, we were caught in a standoff with a murderer on the highway. Three helicopters and probably~30 cop cars. He started shooting at the police after they stopped him. I remember more from that than the actual race.

Holy crap! I had no idea that even happened. That race finish yes, but not the standoff. The other races I've been to haven't been THAT interesting.

Yeah the guy had apparently killed like three people and took the cops on a high speed pursuit. Crazy stuff.
Hopefully we wont have that kind of party this weekend.

Well I'm in the middle of 9 (yes, NINE) updates. I haven't played GTA V in quite some time. Probably not since GT6 came out.

Oh, and an error just occurred on one of the downloads as I was typing. Fantastic.

Those updates only took my connection about 20minutes, so I don't know how it will go for yours.

For some reason it can't get past one of the updates. It just sent me an error message again on download. I may have to reboot and try again if it doesn't work a third time. Otherwise, I'll never get to play GTA V online ever again. Lovely.

After finally getting that particular update to finally download without error after resetting the system, the next update decides to do the same thing. I'm starting to get pissy.
