Going to be eating dinner semi-soon, so I'll be in later if the room is still up then. I'd like to at least have some fun in practice, because I'm not sure I'm going to be able to make the actual race Saturday night.

I have a fresh race idea for the league.
Race ???
Track: Eiger Nordwand - Short Track
Car: '00 Mitsubishi Lance Evolution VI GSR T.M. EDITION
Tires: Sports Soft
Laps: TBD

I think there is a way to put an endurance timer on a race versus having to guess how many laps to run. I will check it out.

No guessing involved as to how many laps DJ. Thanks to our resident physics professor @tzracer. He gave us this to use:

Calculating laps is quite easy. Suppose your lap is 1:37.638. To convert to minutes, take the seconds, 37.638 in our case, and divide by 60 (37.638/60= .6273) You have just converted the seconds to minutes. Add the minutes from the original lap time to the number you just calculated, 1+.6273=1.6273 minutes for the lap time. Now divide the 45 minute race time by the 1.6273 minute lap time to get the number of laps. 45/1.6273=27.6 laps. So probably a 27 lap race.

Use this method once or twice and it's as easy as taking candy from Ph1sher.

I like the combo idea too.

Before the update that brought in endurance racing settings, I was using http://www.csgnetwork.com/race_lap_time_calculator.html to test for FLEX. I could take into consideration tire wear as well by plugging in slightly slower lap times with each click. With the 30 minute endurance option now available (unfortunately no 45 minute option for Enduro though), I don't have to figure it out now. :dopey:

Also off subject, but tomorrow for FLEX, we're just going to run some practice / one make races, and maybe gather some attention for Turtle. Next week will get back into the usual routine (hopefully with more racers though, not the recent 2 to 4 Turtle turnout routine :().

Hey Turtles!

Kinda Late over Here as i just got home from the races! Started 2nd in my Heat and finished 1st by a long shot, Then in the Thorsen Memorial Feature Race i started 7th and came up and won the Feature!

That makes 6 wins in my Rookie Season!!

If anyone wants to watch some videos of me racing, i can post a youtube link to our page. Last night vids will be uploaded soon as well.

also! Whos Ready for some Turtle Racing League Racing Tonight!! Let's Go!

My internet is acting really shady right now. It is failure on Charter's end I might not be able to make it. Time be willing that I can.

I'm at work phish. Best of luck to everyone. I'll be there next week for sure. Already told them I wasn't working next Friday or saturday.

Danget I can't get any connection and it's storming here so that just makes it worse..uhmm

Well I fell asleep while watching the Nascar race (thanks to my medication). :dunce: That's why I didn't show up. Looks like I wouldn't have missed anything anyway.

By the way, nice job on the wins, Phish. 👍

Dude Charter was out Nationwide, it wasn't until I realize all I had to do was change the primary and secondary DNS
