I suspect the elise will be in the 3:00 @ Suzuka. I dont mind if it goes over buy about and hour or so.. I think start qualifying @ 9:15 and starting the race should be doable @ 9:30. Which would lead a ending to around 1am

I'm fine with it running past midnight, we've had a few races that have gone over before(I think the longest was about 12:30EST or so). fastfox's idea sounds pretty good, starting qualifying at 9:15 and the race at 9:30.

Change to GT5 - GT6 Transfer Schedule

After some discussion with few people, I have come to the decision to move our first GT6 race event, and the start of Season 14, to December 14th, as opposed to waiting until January 4th. December 7th will be a test session to make sure that all regulations are still applicable for GT6 as well as testing any new features that may be added. Also we will be using this test session to determine the car and track lineup for Season 14.

Hey guys it's been awhile. Probably a year since I've posted on this thread but I'm back! I had a foreign exchange student experience and there is no service in Greece. But i just got back a week ago and I'll be rejoining SPEC for Gran Turismo 6! I gave my little brother my PS3 account for the past 10 moths so my apologies if you guys messaged me and I didn't answer but I'm glad to see the league hasn't died and I will definitely be back!

Also if your interested we're doing a 3 to 3:30 hour race Saturday. We'll be running the Lotus Elise '96 RM at Suzuka with weather. Also we're starting a little earlier with qualifying at 9:15 and the race start at 9:30.

Dude I kinda missed you :/ I tought you abandoned us because I frequently see your account conected playing GTA or another game, but GT5, I'm glad you didn't and that you're back!

Be prepared, because as beal said, there's going to be a 3 hour race to say goodbye to GT5

Idk what happened to my account I signed in as my original self but I looks different. It was different it was a unique experience but I wouldn't do it again. I missed the Super Bowl and hockey and everything lol but the people I lived with were very nice. Every two months I changed cities so there wasn't a set place I stayed

Sounds like you had a great time! While I wasn't an exchange student, when I went on a trip to Europe through People to People as a student ambassador, I stayed with a family in the town of Ettlingen, Germany for a few days and had a great time with them!

Also I want to remind everyone that hasn't heard, I believe it was JLBowler that told me this and I'll uphold it for tonight, since this is such a long race, we will only go forward if we have at least 8 people(myself included) in the room at 9:30 EST. Also make sure to bring your wet weather gear, as I think they're calling for some rain today(unlike last week)!

S.P.E.C. Official Announcement Regarding GT6 Transition​

As the long awaited release of GT6 approaches, Dec 6👍, SPEC would like to announce our official intentions regarding the transition from GT5 to GT6. SPEC feels that it would be important to make the transition as soon as possible. That being said, the first OFFICIAL SPEC race will be on Sat. Dec 14 at 10:00pm ET / 7:00pm PT in SNAIL_Division2 Lounge. What's that? Your asking what do we have planned for Dec 7? Glad you asked! On Dec 7, we ask that the winners from Season 13, Adventuruss, brandofo, tcrash15, kendawg198, cmbeal317, Racingchamp30 and everyone else who would like to join, join us in SNAIL_Division2 Lounge for something that will be a first in SPEC. We would like the winners of the track choices to announce their picks in the lobby on Dec 7. The way it will work is Adventuruss will make his car choice on Dec 6 so the people with the track choices can do their track testing and then the track choices will be made in order of Season 13 finishing order, in the lounge. Once the track choices are made, we will begin 20 min practice races on each of the tracks to get the times down for the laps and also the dynamics of GT6 such as the feel of the car, pit stops and if there is any changes concerning pit stops and what ever. We thought this would be a fun way to transition and also learn the nuances of GT6. We are pretty sure that everyone will have a idea of what cars and tracks will be available to choose from on Dec 6 and will be able to make their choices on Dec 7. If you are picking a track, please have a few tracks picked as the person that picks first might already have picked your choice and you will have back up choices. Since I will not be able to attend Dec 7, I will defer my choice to AJK-VAIL since he came in 7th in Season 13. I agree with you JLBowler that we should let Adventuruss pick the car before December 7th.

Even though the game is not out yet, Adventuruss could look through this video to get a jump on his car selection. Also I think it would probably be wise to implement at credit limit for the first season on GT6.

Valid point. I reworded the original post with regards to Russ' pick. As for Russ picking a car that everyone doesn't have, I'm not worried. Everyone in GTPlanet will be racing and collecting credits all day on Dec 6 and 7. I wouldn't expect everyone to spend all their credits on one car but I think Russ is smart enough to choose the right car that everyone could own to race without breaking everyone's bank. I don't think putting a credit cap on the pick would be necessary then. I also have a feeing his choice is not going to cost you anything and you'll already have it when you plug GT6 in

Fzappa, not sure how i would be considered one of the winners since i finished 6th overall but thanks anyways. I won't be able to make my pick for December 7th because wife wants me to wait till Christmas to start playing GT6 since it will be my Christmas gift though. No way i can convince her to let me play it before Christmas LOL. My question is that are all SNAIL events being halted from GT5 since SNAIL is doing a test session December 7th with GT6?
