I just thought of another idea to get Kaz's undivided attention! đź’ˇ (but more on that later..)

I once entertained the notion of trying to find out how much it would cost to place an message on a billboard visible from the trains that lead to PD's offices. Maybe that's worth a thought? It would certainly get some attention if done right. Of course, the cost could be prohibitive. I have no idea how much billboards go for. And it would take a bit of research to figure out where exactly their office is and where workers at said office would be most likely to live. Not impossible, but a fair bit of work, to be sure.

Good thinking, but hopefully what I have in mind will accomplish the same goal with a lot less effort (not to mention money :))

At this very moment I'm having lunch with my wife and son in the beautiful and colorful town of Niagara Falls at the RainForest Café, a place you all should visit if you get the chance.
Regarding D3, if there's any need of help I can do scorekeeping, replay upload and data entry. Let me know if help is needed.

If you wanted to take over main score keeping duties, I could take on the back up role.

Since the maintenance is going to happen during the spec racing should we start it about an hour earlier to compensate for the down time for the servers cause im worried that if we start at our usual time that we may have a lot of DC's. I thought I give it a thought after just reading the news about this maintenance.
@JLBowler and the other decision makers...has anything been decided on this yet? The servers will be coming down at 11 pm central/9 pm west coast Sunday night.
If we are starting early, I need to know how early in case I have to tell my endurance league I won't be there.

You are only 3 1/2 hours from me, I could throw some more stones in the soup for your gang if you want.;) Just head east on 90.

I don't see the need to start early. The night of racing is designed to run in two hours and we have two and a half hours from our start time to the scheduled down time. The hosts and directors need to be on their game and keep things moving and it shouldn't be a problem.

Everyone: Get your friend requests taken car of early. Don't wait until five minutes before, or even worse, five minutes after race time to try and send a request thinking it's going to be accepted and you're going to race. Get there early, get started on time and don't waste a bunch of time. If someone is lagging and they need to leave, get them to leave and give them 3 minutes to get back. If they don't make it, start without them. If someone is DC'd mid race, give them the rest of that race and the time in between to get back (at least 3 minutes total). If they're not back, start the next race. Short of the entire room going down multiple times, there shouldn't be any reason to waste 30 minutes.

The official driver list has not been updated as of yet and that is what I went on last night for Team SNAIL duties. I am re working everything right now based on the directors doc. There are several positions that need to be filled before tomorrow night. I should have a preliminary list put together shortly.

Can I be part of the member?
@OmegaDefiance,
Thanks for your interest!
We would love to have you in the league. Here's what you need to know and do in order to join:

We run a clean league by enforcing a strict penalty system based on the S.N.A.I.L. OLR (which is a modified version of the GTP OLR). We also expect all of our drivers to know and follow The Good Racecraft Guide.
Please become versed in both if you aren't already. Once that is complete, please follow the steps below to complete your entry into the league:

1. You take the S.N.A.I.L. OLR and Racecraft Test

2. You run the Time Trial and submit your information by 23:59 EST on Saturday night if you want to race this Sunday.

3. @JLBowler PM's you with your assigned Division that we feel will give you the closest competition. You will be added to the drivers list.

4. The Race Director or Primary Host from the corresponding SNAIL Division will send you a PSN friend request. Sunday night you will need to sort the online lobbies by friends and join the lobby named 'snailracing.org Division_(x) based off your Division placement from JLBowler. That lobby will be where you race Sunday.

5. You drive fast and clean on Sunday đź‘Ť

The original post has everything you need to know about what to expect on Sunday night and what you will need to have completed in order to be competitive. If you have any questions, please feel free to post your question on the thread.

If you have a preference for car/wheel colour and racing number, please follow the instruction contained here.
To avoid duplication, the currently claimed combinations can be found here.

During the week we run a number of different events, we encourage all SNAILs to join as many as possible.

Welcome to S.N.A.I.L.

With the changes in divisional promotion and relagation, D7 is in need of a few positions; back up host/director and scorekeeper with @goofytyler moving to D6. I would like to do the scorekeeping and if @tevesh2 doesn't mind, I'd like to be the data specialist as well. I feel I had a pretty good system while I did it in D8 that was quick and efficient. I can also be the backup replay uploader as well. In summary;

D7 backup host/director - Needed (@wvhellbilly?)
D7 scorekeeper - @KTR5
D7 data specialist - @tevesh2 (and @KTR5 as primary or backup, depending if @tevesh2 wants to let me do it)
D7 backup replay uploader - @KTR5
D7 photographer - @KTR5 to add some photos along with @BayouSimDrifter who is the primary

I'm really excited to have been moved up, so thanks to @JLBowler for believing I can do it. And to be moved up with my closest rivals from D8 @speer9892003 @wvhellbilly and @Sharkb8ii makes it even better.
Coach, I can back you up in data and scorekeeper if need be

I just thought of another idea to get Kaz's undivided attention! đź’ˇ (but more on that later..)
^^^ @zero5ive's gonna fish slap the crap outta him!!! That should work....;)

Edit: I like the billboard idea as well, maybe combine the two and have a giant fishslapping billboard for Kaz to see???

Team S.N.A.I.L. Update

This is the latest info for key League night positions. As you can see, there are several roles that will need to be addressed before tomorrow. As always, all Team members should check the roster and make sure I have everyone in the proper place. Anyone else that would be interested in helping your division and the League should have a look as well. Any changes or additions. please PM me as soon as you can so I can make the appropriate changes. The West Coast division is not listed as they are not a part of the P & R process. Thank you all in advance! (Thanks for the tip off @Skills !!)

Why 3 score keepers and no replay uploaders on D3?. If it's ok for everybody I'll take care of the replays uploading.

This is based on what folks have done in the past. Thanks for stepping up! You have been added to the roster as replay dude!!

I just joined, but since I did not make it into the race this Sunday March 9th, I am offering to help if you would like me to. I have not raced with you before, however, I have been a corner worker at an actual race in Seattle and in Portland. I don't know if that translates into any of the positions you need filled, but I am willing to learn if you want to fill me in.

Thanks for looking to help but I think you are on the D7 roster for this weekend. There are still a handful of back up positions in that division if you are still interested!

I emptied my browser cache and reloaded the driver's list (post #2) and looked manually through the driver names, and especially in division 7, and did a search via my browser Edit|search menu choice for the first four unique letters of my SNAIL name, and unless the new list has not come out yet, I am not listed for this Sunday. I would be glad to take a backup position. How does that work if you are racing? Of course the event would take precedent over racing, I would imagine. thanks,

The official driver list that is linked in post #2 has not been updated yet but we have been going off the directors doc HERE. All of the Team SNAIL jobs work while racing. Everything is done before and between and after the races. I can put you into the back up replay uploader if you wish!

Yes, go ahead. Where do I go for an explanation of my duties? Or is it just as simple as saving the replay on my system and emailing it somewhere in case the primary copy is messed up?
I've only been playing the online portion of GT3 for about a month, so what might be obvious to most is still new to me.
