Thanks qwiet, I'm going to use the tags when I announce from now on 👍

I think London is perfect for the juniors and one I need to get better at! I know where I'm slower, just need the courage to just about kiss the walls :scared:

The old league I was a part of used to run the Karts at London all the time and it was a TON of fun.

Anyone going to be "Gear Testing" today? Would like to join and learn the process.

Sounds fun, Tex, but I am off to do the Dad-shuffle today.

I uploaded a 0.44 oval if that helps, Dragonwhisky. On Online/Shared.

How about after the F1 qualifying? 12:30 Eastern in SNAIL_Division2.

I'll be there after F1 quali, but with all these 10 minute delays, it may be closer to 1 eastern.

Just created an Oval-ish Kart Track 0.52 mile - SNAIL KART. But system says I can't add it to Online Share.
Only one track is shown as being Online - yet it says that it is Full. What do I need to do?

Just going to try one too. Will let you know.

EDIT: It appears you can only share one course. I made two and 'Oval' and a Tri-Oval would only let me share one. I'll get it to the SNAIL_Division2 account if anyone else wants to try it.

EDIT2: Tri Oval is shared on D2 account, the second one I created is shared on my account.

I took the 3/8 Oval off of Online and put SNAIL KART 0.52 mi on Share. Pretty basic oval with 3 straights.
Laps were around 26 sec. Even faster with drafting.

So here's the options:

1. Tex .52 mile Oval (Tokyo Bay Kart) shared on Tex's account - 25.821 fast lap - 34 race laps
2. kcheeb .88 mile Oval (Eifel Kart) shared on kcheebs account - 42.508 fast lap - 21 race laps
3. kcheeb .88 mile Tri-Oval (Eifel Kart) shared on SNAIL_Division2 account - 32.732 fast lap - 27 laps

They're all fun to drive but the tri-oval is a clockwise track, can you do right turns for 15 minutes :D

I'm leaning towards the Tri-Oval just because it's different, let me know if you have a preference.

Tri-Oval sounds like good change.

Haven't heard from @chatva so we went ahead and picked a track, Clubman Stage Route 5.

Next weeks lineup, the last on GT5, has been posted.

A word of caution about Trial Mountain, there are places on the track that are quite rough. Rough enough to upset the Kart. It is however a fun track to drive. Patience will be important and remember, everyone will have a moment.

I'll try to post the lowdown on the places to be aware of.

EDIT: Going from memory here, so this may not be a complete list :scared:

1. The rise after the first tunnel. If you take off at an angle, when you land you will not be able to control your Kart.

2. The back straight is a little rough on the edges. Much smoother sailing down the middle. Never lost it on the straight, but it is much easier in the centre of the track.

3. After the climb up the hill on the back section of the track, setting up for the right hander down the hill can be, uhmm, interesting, depending on your angle of attack. Again, never totally lost it there, but I can see if happening.

4. The kink bringing you onto the front straight will be a problem if you're too far left or right. Beyond the white line on the left of the exit, it's a roll of the dice as to whether you'll stay in control. Inside that white line it's just rough and a handful, don't force it. If you're able to keep to the right exiting onto the front straight there's more rough track to cope with. As well as the bump that, should you take a chunk out of, will have you applying for your pilots license.

Spent quite a bit of time trying to run a series of laps at Trial Mtn .............. Man, what a challenge THAT is going to be. Hard enough to avoid the "bumps" when running alone - can imagine the Kart Carnage that is going to happen when we all get on track at speed. Attrition will determine the front runners I suspect.

Well that sounds "fun."

I considered asking qwiet to change his selection. But, until we've tried it ...

Just asking everyone to be patient and rise to the challenge 👍
