It would appear, while I was doing battle with yoose guyz and Rome, my cat, who started out a fairly cute kitten,
Then grew up and developed some strange and sometimes frightening powers,
was getting wounded. How, I know not. Wife came down while we were in the middle of qualifying for Cote and I can't say I reacted well. After the race was over I went up to see what was the trouble and she showed me an egg shaped wound on his back that was about 2 inches long and maybe 1 1/2 inches wide, where it appeared his skin had been split right through. Put the cone of shame on his head to keep him from licking and chewing on it, but it appears that was only partially effective. Took him to the vet this morning and got him back this afternoon looking like this.
Cats without fur are some freaky looking animals.
15 Stitches, 7 day supply of antibiotics, 1 week confined to quarters and 2 weeks wearing the cone of shame.
I swear this poor dude has had the one of the roughest lives for a cat ever. Not sure if he's got the full complement of kitty lives left. Whomever says pound pets are free, or close to free, never met Mack. Took us 6 months and 2 vets before we finally got his
Coccidia cleared up, after the 1st vet almost killed him, giving us an adult cat dosage of meds for him and it's been an ongoing battle, shots, 7,000 different foods, etc., keeping his sensitive bowels from making a mess everywhere.
He'll have a nice scar to impress the lady cats with now anyway.
