Live weather report from Le Mans. We just had a rain shower move through. It looks to be very cloudy for the next few hours then the next batch of showers move in. They do seem to break up a little as they approach the track.

Severe thunderstorms may cause local damage. Significant damage is expected locally on light and temporary structures or habitat. Flooding of basements and low areas may occur suddenly. Some forest fire outbreaks may happen due to lightning strikes without precipitation. Upon approach of a thunderstorm, take precautions to protect sensitive objects from the wind. Do not take shelter under trees. Avoid forest walks and mountain hikes. Avoid using the telephone and electrical appliances. Promptly report the fire outbreaks you might witness.

"We have heard the concerned teams pleas for postponement but will not be agreeing to these terms." Race at you're own risk has been the key statement in the race directors comment. "We see there is a cell moving in and are fully aware of the dangers. Drivers are to remain cautious and predictable. Racing does not stop cause Mother Nature says so. Just take it easy and race at your own risk."
Corner marshals will not be on track and only volunteers will be on the cameras so please be sure to thank them and not complain too much about how bad they really are at pointing at a car. Fans on the track are informed and are just too excited to leave. We have provided them with PSEC blankets and umbrellas and suggest they stay under the cover of the giant metal bleachers.

We just had a huge storm blow through. It is sprinkling and looks to be clearing up. Reports state that there is more storms on the way yet tonight. Keep your eyes to the thread as we continue to update you on the weather.
