Sounds like it's a miracle the track hasn't flooded yet :P.

So no KOQ lobby obviously :). Pumped! Some real weather racing :P the spray is mega fun. Will affect fuel and tyre strategies!

Severe Weather Alert:

Although rather usual in this region, locally or potentially dangerous phenomena are expected. (such as local winds, summer thunderstorms, rising streams or high waves) Be aware and pay attention to the latest weather updates, especially if you carry out activities exposed to weather or close to a stream or shoreline.

Issued until early tomorrow morning.

I feel for the volunteers on this race.

Final weather update from the track.

We had a quick break in the action, but the winds are back up and the air temp is dropping. I can feel it in the air tonight. There's a storm brewing, and it ain't only on the track. Buckle up and hang on for this one.

From the PSEC Weather Center, this is Fallen_log of PSEC News signing off to go racing. See you on track.

So over the past few days even before the stormy race at Bugatti, Myself and Zii have been discussing a colab effort for both of our leagues and we came up with a system runs on different weekends. Basically, we wanted to promote one anothers series together and have them run together on opposing weekends. For example, My series might run this week, Zii's series the next and wed swap every week.

So, if anyone is interested, check out OSCA in the link below. It is a Pro and Am based series that runs LMP2, GTE, and GT3. The classes are based on skill to keep everyone together. Pro drivers have the choice of running the P2-Orecas or GTE (Which is basically full). Am drivers have the choice of P2-Fake or GT3 (NEED THESE GUYS).

Races last 2 Hours except for the 4 Hours of Le Mans on June 25th. Please check out the OP for all of the details! Also, Am works like Am in this series. If you run in GT3 here, you can chose the Fake P2s or GT3 cars in OSCA. The series kicks off on June 11th!

Special thanks to Zii for working with me and helping me promote OSCA.

What a race, that was definitely the best rain experience I've ever had in a competition race. Was absolutely awesome fun and nail biting the whole time.
Huge congratulations to @Fallen_log and @Esgaloth for their class wins. Stunning drives in the conditions, and Fallen you have truly stepped up your game sir, quite a perfect race from you.

@Zii1993 had me on my toes for the first 10 laps or so before I managed to snake away. Seriously nerve racking the opening part of a race for me haha (don't use that against me after knowing this ;) ).
I managed to snag the lead after the first quarter when @JoeW and @Fallen_log had a slight tangle wide out on turn 3. I made it through a gap of both of ypu by the skin of my teeth. I didn't clip you on my end Joe , but saw you go off the other way after I went through, and hope that on your end I didn't touch you either.

That thunderstorm half way through the race was hektik! Man did the rain really come down, I've never experienced it on PCars that heavy before. And in fact, the lightning strikes were so amazing that it caught me off guard and made a couple mistakes, eventually replenishing the lead back to Fallen after a good 20 second lead.

Fallen pitted a lot earlier than I expected, so decided to be sneaky and run past half way to have fresher tyres at the end. My pit tyre/fuel strategy was a lot more throughout than Hockenheim, however I didn't anticipate the massive downpour half way through which I suspect killed my tyre temps, allowing Fallen to get 40 seconds back down to 13 before I decided to pit. I really should have mirrored you pit dude cause that hurt me coming out, 40 seconds back your way. And even though I had regained pace, it was yet again on par with you by the looks and I could only shed a couple seconds off after the last 20 laps. Lesson learnt :P.

I'm extremely happy with two 2nds in a row now but! And as a result I'm leading a series points table for the first time in my online career! Not by much though lol. Will be a massive battle to hold that over the next two races though I'm sure, I'll have to really step up my game more now :P onto practicing!

Finally managed to sit down and have my first go on ShareFactory for some highlights of my race. For anyone who'd fancy a watch or you're bored, here it is! It's somewhat a "little" highlight reel lol.

So close!!! starts at the 4;45 mark. I had to watch it a couple of times. thanks
I know right! I forgot to mention it was in the highlights for Joe and Dave to see my side of it... Thanks for picking up the time marker for it :).

Looking again, if my car hadn't slid slightly mid-corner and I didn't catch it like that I would've run into him for sure since I was trying to stay on the inside lol.

Its very strange seeing myself pass someone from another perspective...very very strange...Im usually on the end of the GT drivers getting passed by Prototypes but...heh.

General announcements

We have a few things to announce today.

First off, thanks to @zer05ive the overall winner of the season will receive the new SNAIL shirt. This is the shirt that was made for the gt academy drivers to support our group when at the finals. I will post a picture ASAP. Good luck to everyone.

Next, we have a change in roles here at PSEC HQ. @Fallen_log will be going off to collage shortly, so with this new information, @Alex ONeill has stepped up as the new co-director of the series. Please welcome Alex and thank fallen for all his work put in.

Finally, next week we head to Imola for race 3 of the season. Track time will be 3pm. Weather is still TBD of course being live weather. Once I have an average Lmp lap time we will have our lap length for the race. So if any of the lmp guys wanna run a few laps and pass along this info it would be greatly appreciated.

A big thanks to everyone involved and running in the series. This is continuing because of you guys. I'd love to take this into future seasons and that is only possible with you.
So THANK YOU:bowdown::cheers:

Hats off to you being so clean round the outside of me too man! Lap 31 on the last corners, pouring down rain and was awesome to see you right next to me without contact lol. Great racing, one of the reasons why I love multi-class.

I'll fanboy the hell out of it if I get my hands on that shirt lol. Wicked prize.

Gl @Fallen_log at college and @Alex ONeill for the role. Along with @Zii1993 and whoever else helps out with providing us this series! It's a short series for my first SNAIL but it's definitely given me a great taste to want to do many more others if I can! Great organisation ;). Thank you!

Onto Imola! Hopefully some dry racing, I was almost squinting after the race still, trying to see through rain that wasn't there anymore all of a sudden lol.
