On a side note. I noticed the discussion pages ago about playing other games. I just saw that Battlefield 3 is in the PS Store as a freebie for plus members. I will download it and see if I can figure it out. I haven't played a lot of shooters but I do enjoy a decent storyline in the single player. I've never played a shooter online but if I could get some help, I might be able to get into it.

Somewhat disappointed with this year's demo. Last year was so much more diverse. They had something different every week which made it something to look forward to.

I decided to do just enough to gold everything and bailed. This year's academy demo is just not as engrossing. So, what...now everyone spends an entire month trying to hot lap Silverstone? Ugh...

Might try back later just to learn the track better...hard to go fast when you've never seen the track before.

I agree about the framerates. I do like the feel of the car more though. It feels a little more realistic. The body roll is really cool.

There are more tracks than just the one time trial. Once you hold that one, there's two more. And one coming soon.

I'm hoping that they add a few more bonus events as the competition goes on, just to keep things fresh. If they do that, then the main difference would be that we get to start on the "real" events earlier, which wouldn't bother me. Other than that, I agree.

I haven't noticed any framerate issues, but my threshold for that is a bit lower than a lot of people. I do see quite a bit of flicker though.

And I said it earlier, but the tire and suspension physics just feel a lot more like driving a real car. It makes it easier to figure out what you're doing wrong in a particular corner or complex.

You should keep at it a bit. I was in the mid 2:21s all day yesterday, but I've shaved over 1.5 just in my lunch break today. I'm now sitting at 2:19.982, which is better than I thought I'd ever get in the whole competition.

I don't ever remember this ever happening. The car is chosen but the track is not.
In my opinion, the winner of Prize A should announce his/her car/track combo together, moving forward. What if somebody wanted to take the new combo and practice it prior to Wednesday night practice?
