Fair enough. Just thought I would ask before I start the search for a project cars league. If any of you guys end up on project cars hit me up.

My thoughts on last night in D5:

It was a blast. I sat out on the Apline race because I got in late and was a bit busy but watching the race was awesome. I wasn't feeling the Spa and Z combo but when I was on it and everything went well before I spun it was fun. The VW was interesting but my second least favorite.

All in all, good fun! I can't wait until Sunday all over again!

That's @cmbeal317 (who kicked major ass on his way to 99 points yesterday) turning on the Rock Star Fog Machine to make his entrance...

Waiting for another night of racing to start

@STEAMER62 and @CaroFDoom (in his VERY pink ride) go around Deep Forest

Beal, followed by Flip and @o8_jedi, but wait, what's that in the background? Let's investigate...

Oh, that's just Sinna getting a closer look at @polygrizz having a pretty serious moment

Beal leads Flip and Jedi into the main straight

Having lost P1 momentarily, Beal retakes it in front of the cheering adoring crowd

Doom (again, look at that colour, it's brilliant!) leads @pubason and Sinna around Turn 1

Sinna puts a move on Pub and takes 5th in the last corner!

And Beal takes the 1st flag of the night, followed by Flip

Race 2 starts and @Sedia3 glitches in a pretty inopportune time for @DCschwinn

Division 7 I see two cars with #3. Also, who took my #96?!

Great pics though

3a & 3b.. Did you see one of them are a beautiful Pink? So I can usually tell which #3 it is! Lol  They are racing for the number? Gunna be a great battle.. Also, D7 apologizes deeply for taking your #96. We will make sure to change that immediately and give it back to you!

Great pics though

Yes they are! @FlipJ does a great job! 👍

Hey guys, its been awhile since ive been on. I was wondering if any of you guys were on project cars on pc or if there was any sort of plan for snail to branch out onto project cars pc.
More than likely not. At it's core, SNAIL is a GT league, and with GT being an exclusive title to Playstation, SNAIL is essentially also a Playstation based league. Unless the GT franchise were to wither up and die, I don't see SNAIL branching out to other platforms. Granted there is talkof a PCars PS4 event, but truthfully that's really just filler on the next-gen console until GT7 arrives. At least that's the way I see it.
Fair enough. Just thought I would ask before I start the search for a project cars league. If any of you guys end up on project cars hit me up.
Yes, SNAIL is a PlayStation-based league, but it's obvious that a lot of you guys got Project CARS for the PC instead of on the PS4. If any of you would like to create a PC-based SNAIL Series, I'd be happy to see that happen. I think it'd be great for you guys to be able to race others that you're already familiar with and lean on structure and the ideals of clean and competitive racing that SNAIL provides. As I've mentioned before, we had an iRacing league for a while back in the day so I don't see this as being much different. 👍

That being said, I'm more excited about having SNAIL events on the PS4 because that's where I see our eventual home. Whether we're a GT7 league or a Project CARS league will depend on which is better. I'm rooting for GT7 to blow Project CARS out of the water, but we're not going to GT7 if Kaz and PD end up laying an egg with it.

With a note saying how sorry we are and that we washed and polished it, just like that story (don't remember the player's name, so couldn't find it) about the Roma player that got his Ferrari stolen and when the story broke, the thieves returned it washed, polished, with a full tank of gas, an apology and a request that they beat Lazio that Sunday (Roma and Lazio are the two football teams from Rome and they have a very unfriendly rivalry).

And thank you, @DCschwinn!

Lol. For a while as far as I knew I was the only driver with #96. I wrote down every number from 1-100 and crossed them off as I went through the entire driver list. I was left with no more than maybe 8 numbers to choose from lol

Hey its Monday...and last week we tried something new. We ran two one hour enduros with softer tires, very fast fuel and wear, thus necessitating pit stops. Also the car uses more fuel on boost....so....all had fun. Thus we will do a one hour at the Nordschliefe

And just keed to tradition we will also do two 20 minute races at Brands 80 or Fuji....only Racing Champ knows for sure.

not at all.. just showing off!

tip... don't be forced to shoot in color. Also B/W can achieve really good effects.

IMHO and I think Wolfsatz will agree with most of what I say …. there are a few things to keep in mind with photography.

1. The dynamic range of a photo is not as great as that of the human eye. The eye will be able to see into shadows and see detail in highlights that cannot be easily duplicated in a reproduction.

2. Expose for the details in the shadows but print for the details in the highlights … there are always exceptions but it is a good rule to follow. In other words people don’t care to see detail inside of a wheel well but they do want to see detail on the hood of a white car.

3. There are things called specular highlights, these are highlights that are beyond the reproduction capability of the media. These are whites that have no detail, in other word as white as the paper they are printed on. They’re ok to have but with limits.

4. Most of the stuff above is from old school photography.

5. With today’s digital media and with the tools available with the camera in GT … usually you want to knock down the exposure, increase the contrast and nudge up the saturation. Keeping in mind everyone with a computer has the screen set to a different brightness, usually darker looks better than burned out.

6. By far the most important aspect of a good photo is the eye of the photographer, (period). Composition, angle etc. are what make a photo good and I might add don’t be afraid to break all the rules.

7. I’m not an expert but I use to be. I have a BFA in Pro Photo from RIT, that’s a school next door to Kodak in Rochester, NY … but for the last 25 years I’ve been doing other things.

Great post ! And Go Tigers!

Oops I almost forgot the reason I came in here... Has anyone seen the new Avengers movie? Is it worth the 10 bucks?

The round that received the most elimination votes was:
Round 3 - Volkswagen GTI Supersport Vision Gran Turismo (Racing: Medium) at Grand Valley Speedway / Forward (6 laps)
Therefore the entire combo has been dropped from next week's line-up. Since @racingchamp30 wins Prize A, he gets to choose an entirely new car and track combo to replace it.

The round that received the second most elimination votes was:
Round 2 - Nissan Z GT500 Base Model '06 (Racing: Hard) at Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps (5 laps)
This means either the car or the track will be replaced for next week's line-up. Since @kickenit4evr gets Prize B, he has the option to freeze the car or the track, or he can give that option to the Prize C winner. If he gives the freeze away, then he gets to decide what car or track replaces the part of the combo that is left unfrozen by the Prize C winner.

Prize C goes to @chatva so he gets whichever option the Prize B winner does not select.

Preliminary prize winners, please don't announce your prize selection until all incident reports have been filed and it has been confirmed that you don't have any penalties. It's also recommended that you review the SNAIL combo history and other data on our car and track history so that you can get an idea how many times we've raced each car and track. Please remember that originality is always appreciated,so picking cars and tracks that we've never raced is a plus (but not required). What's more importantis that you thoroughly test any combo that you are considering before making it your official selection. For example, no car you select should not hit its rev limiter at any point during a race (even in the draft).

IMPORTANT: When posting your Prize A or Prize B selection, please list the complete in-game name of the car and/or track you are selecting. For example, if you want to select the Amuse Superlegara for your car, post "Amuse Nismo 380 RS Superlagara". If you want to select Monza for a track, post "Autodromo Nazionale Monza". This makes it much easier for the lineup to be updated accurately and also prevents confusing other league members as to which car or track you are selecting. Also, please be sure to list the PP and HP (after oil change) of any car you select.

Car Selection Guidelines
Dealership Cars - The maximum price for a selected car is now $1,000,000
DLC Cars - Only DLC cars that are FREE and currently still available in the PlayStation Store can be selected.

Track Selection Guidelines
Any non-DLC track can be selected as long as a single lap with the car combo'd with it would not take more than five minutes to complete. For example, don't select anything that includes the Nurburgring's Nordschleife.
