@MikeGrove @brian540 @SAMHAIN85

All prize winners will be included in a conversation with deadlines and instructions that they must follow to claim their prize.

Damn, sad to see the Peugeot go. That was a fun combo.

Question for the SNAIL Historians: Has any Prize A winner ever chosen to "freeze" a car or track by making a new combo that reuses half of the eliminated combo from the previous week?

I rather liked the car challenge and would love to see it at a more flowing track.

Edit: I realize now that I thought the Viper was gone and fixed the post.

The round that received the most elimination votes was:
Round 3 - Peugeot 908 HDi FAP Base Model '10 (Racing: Medium) at Autodromo Nazionale Monza (7 laps)
Therefore the entire combo has been dropped from next week's line-up. Since @MikeGrove wins Prize A, he gets to choose an entirely new car and track combo to replace it.

Since that is how the prize A award is worded, a winner is not allowed to reuse part of the combo. That is what "entirely new car and track combo" means in this situation.

Well that happened fast lol

Never really read that too closely. Any particular reason why not? Obviously for the sake of variety but shouldn't one be given full freedom of choice? Like I said, what if they personally liked the combo that got eliminated and want to keep part of it around?

I'll give you the short answer. One of the core values of SNAIL is that half of what and where we are racing is designed to be new each week. That's probably not going to change any time soon.

So I completely nuked my GT6 save data. Dont ask me how but I managed to do it. Luckily I didn't have too much time invested in the game and only had like 30 cars. I tried to "salvage game data" after the opening tutorial and it found nothing. Before I begin the long grind of running mindless laps with a Honda fit, is there anything I can do? I dont care about recovering my garage or anything, I just want to be able to have the online functionality again and enough credits to get me the current combos

Edit: Nevermind, I fixed it

I've heard duct tape works well. Seems like it was a funky night all around between your issues and Paddy and I not in full attendance.

With great beard comes great responsibility. We just had our morning rain, but it was a good heavy one that lasted ten minutes instead of two. Looks like it will be a wet day, and that's fine with me.

division 2 replays are in the designated folder

congrats @Nicktune , third place in the gtplanet GT3 challenge.

this is a new topic from the previous post , so stuff your double post fishies in a sack for next time:lol:

STUFF THIS!LOL

And so here it is... A car not yet used, has big fat tires, no lid, a huge motor shoehorned into a small engine compartment, and most importantly... side pipes!

Prize B selection:

Cobra 427 S/C Chrome Line
PP 540 / HP 492 (before)
PP 546 / HP 516 (after)
1,045 Kg
S/S tires
Mid division lap times... 1:06

Or maybe this picture would be better...

YES! YES! YES! YES! YES!

Nice pick Brian. Maybe in one of our practice sessions we can have a few people also run the viper for comparison. It'd be cool to see how they would matchup against each other if laptimes are that similar. Maybe having the upper div guys use the viper as it has less hp and weighs more and see if they can keep up. Would make for some great replay eye candy.

Nice pick Brian.

Coincidently, only two weeks ago I saw this baby roar around the perimeter road of a local horse racing track just half a mile from my house during the Gowran Festival of Speed.

It was a small enough event but there was some interesting machinery around and I got to share a brief few words these two rally legends:

Craig Breen, who amazingly placed third this last weekend in the Finnish round of the WRC, and a real hero of mine, Billy Coleman.

Wow, NICE COMBOS! Is that sweetie the podium girl - if so I'm taking the week off to practice!
But no, great choice on the Cobra - this is going to be legen...dary.

The prose itself is based on votes,

Well that happened fast lol
