Just throwing a spanner into the mix here but... wasn't all of @Marcus Garvey 's testing completed literally right before the update that added Michelin tyre branding to all tyres? Are SS tyres still fake fairy dust post physic update?
I've been super busy this week, so just catching up here. The tyre test was done most recently in April, before the summer physics and tyre update. I have yet to record and pull data to determine whether it is the tyres that have greater lateral or longitudinal grip, or aero/rolling resistance or something else that has changed; but the net result is the tyres are similar paced, if anything a little bit faster than they were before. A quick test the other night showed lap times have dropped a little, but I haven't checked the actual data to figure out where they gained time. The game has gone through a couple of changes since the Michelin update, as well, so it is probably a good time to do a mid-term retest and see where they landed now that things have stabilised. Right after the update, I noticed lap times slowed down a bit. However, in subsequent updates this changed and all my lap times are just nipping the old ones. My seat of the pants reaction is that lateral grip is similar or possibly slightly reduced from before, while longitudinal grip has increased. This caused cars to put down power better, which is where I suspect a most of the time is found. If this is the case, it would make sense that cars that didn't struggle to put down power have gained less time. Dragon went about half a second faster per minute in a quick test with the BRZ the other night, while I stayed about the same. That's why it is beneficial to get different folks together to retest.

Sometime in the next week or so I will try and set aside a time, and let folks know when I'll be on doing some testing. I don't think it should affect any decisions made on the tyre formula, as the changes haven't been drastic. Furthermore, I suspect whenever the next update drops after the Pro release, things are going to change again. At least a little.
