It could be worse. . . . ;) Speed 12 at HSR Reverse. Holy was that complete chaos.

Oh man!! That was such a disaster! But... There is no one that participated in that race that doesn't look back and laugh a little. There be quite a bit of dust on that car since then... Who says we can't learn!

I don't. Was wen I realized to follow others to get line. Lost each race by over a minute...

I learned how incredibly impatient I can be. I understeered wide in every single corner.

On the flip side, I learned that there was absolutely no need for 1st-3rd gear on that car. I launched in 4th, took a huge lead, and lost it by the exit of turn 1. So humiliating.

I don't care if I finish last in the overall standings this week. I'm NOT racing these 2 lambo races. Its pretty obvious that there's going to be like 50 racing complaints over those 2.

By the way, I vote the lambo at eiger to be eliminated

In a word, YES.

It's really not bad at all to drive alone but when you put multiple guys out there and try and race, it's not something I'm looking forward to doing.

Well... Damn... :/

I actually had fun with it... But hard 2 pass and it is fun if the respect for position is there.. Otherwise it becomes lobby like.

reminds me of the Lotus Esprit.

We'll see how it goes... I hope I'll be better then last week

Follow the leader through the winding part and then race for position up to that part. As stated going to take respect from all involved to ensure it is a clean and fun race.

I also noticed the Lambo has a loooong nose. This will be important to remember in this race. Give space and the bumping will be minimized.

There are as many opinions as there are personalities in the League. I still remember the moment when this was no longer a video game and became more of an experience. An "O.G." SNAIL by the name of Sharkie put us all in the Alpha Romeo 8C for the first time. Man that thing sucked but it was designed to make us think. I really struggled with that car but once I figured out what the point was it became one of my favorites. I routinely post poor results but there are cars that I just love to drive and seem to do well with. The '74 Lambo is one of them. I can't explain why, but it is one of my top 5 favorite cars to drive in GT5... Go figure. The point is... Don't knock it until you try it and even if it does not suit your style, I will bet that the experience will make you a better driver...

Sharkie... For all of her snarkie (see what i did there...) racing goddess attitude, she was fast, adhd always willing to help others get fast to.

Complaints are far from weak. they are what help separate our league from the drama of the open lobby. It is the check and balance system that we use to make sure our lobbies stay clean and don't break down into a demolition derby, which can happen fast when tempers start to flare.

Awesome! I do love that car. Interested in seeing the track choice you make. laguna or high speed ring would both be a blast in it I think.

yes complaints are weak

Kikoe why did you decide to join this league? It seems like you should be perfectly comfortable in the public lobbies.
You are now on probation, which means your penalties will be doubled. Not so weak now, are they?

Yeah, about trolls. Normally I don't feed them. But this isn't a pointless post on facebook.
That said, I echo goats sentiment. If you do not like how things roll here...
Your comments and the fact that you have penalties against you speaks volumes for your mentality and decision making, regardless of what your actual intent is. If this is the case then your time here with snail will probably be short. To you this may just be video game, but a number of us take it a little more serious. If you think that the OLR, good racecraft and track etiquette are weak, there sir is the door.
With that said, I'll assume that you think complaints alone are weak and that you see racing the same as the majority here and will none the less race respectfully.

My take on complaints and penalties. It's definitely a case by case basis and depends on the people who made contact.

(Owens I hope you don't mind me using your name in the example...)

Example, we all know Owens is a super clean racer and we all try to race him as well as others with the utmost respect and as cleanly as possible. If by chance Owens and I make contact and it knocks me out of a race, I know it wasn't on purpose. I know he didn't mean to do it and he always stops to give the position back or apologizes. In that case I would NOT submit a race complaint. For what?? A little contact? For an accident? It's pointless. It's not like he has a history of over aggressive driving that makes me think he needs his wrist slapped to calm him down a little. With that comes a mutual respect. On the other side of the coin, the following week you may make the exact same mistake. Slight unintentional contact taking him out. You think he'll file a complaint?

Now if you have an over aggressive driver that is ALWAYS ramming, slamming and bamming people off the track then yes. File a race complaint.

Which leads me to my final point...the "random replay audits." I'll start by saying whoever will be conducting them will definitely be spending a lot of time asking D1 drivers why didn't they file a complaint. I can only speak for the division I'm in and have spent the most time in and that's D1. There's a mutual respect that we race each other REALLY hard and aggressive but as clean as possible at the same time. I know those are the golden rules in every division, but if someone in D1 accidentally bumps you a few times or mistakenly takes you out because of a bad move, you don't get all butt hurt about it because you know it wasn't on purpose. Apologize/give the spot back and move on to the next race.

Very well said!

If something is seen, the effected driver needs contacted to ensure why he didn't file a complaint. As stated. Everyone is subject to a mistake that could lead to a little contact.

Last night in practice another race got into my rear. Slowing me into a turn. I know it was an accident. Not the slightest bit upset and would of never considered filing over such a thing. Said driver would give you 10' of 10' space 99.9% of the time.

I'm with you on the repeated behavior warranting the penalty.

Couldn't agree more.

Reportable incidents happen to me that I purposely do not report because of extenuating circumstances. I am absolutely sure others have given me a pass for the same reasons that I have considered when I decide not to file a report. Auditing races looking for unreported incidents can be a bit tricky if there is no context and no understanding of the relationship and shared experiences of the drivers involved. I believe that most reports that could be filed, that are not, are largely due to factors based largely on shared experiences between drivers and this may explain why there was a surge in complaints last week when many drivers were racing each other for the first time and had too little shared experience, and hence, were less forgiving.

I guess it doesn't hurt to ask why reports were not filed but it seems like a lot of extra work given the already heavy work loads being reported.

The important question to ask is what issues does this new random review policy attempt to prevent or correct that is currently a problem now?
