My PS shut down twice last night as trying to install the update but on the third atempt finally worked. What do you think about that Toyota FT1? It's simply gorgeous!!!!! I love it. Please combo it :)
Nice to look at not so much to drive. We really need another high HP FR car in the lineup:crazy:

I'd love to have a FF race car in the line up again sometime soon. That Gather's(?) Civic was fun IMO and it would really help to even out the events. There are some other variants of Civic/Integra/etc. touring cars but they are over $100K, IIRC.

Ok, best to test a bunch of cars, maybe a couple of us can pool ourselves together and test different cars, and see what HP and weight restrictions we can set up to bring cars as closely together as possible performance wise. Cause a Viper will probably smoke that Camaro without some
restrictions to

Agreed, but one way this can be done is by testing a number of cars, and adjusting them to turn laps within the same time frame as the slowest car. Keep the cars stock and adjust weight and use the power limiter. Kinda have to use the honor system a little, but most of us have proven to be reliable I'd say.

Well It Can Be A One Make Race, If You
Watch The Old Iroc Races Its Mosley A One Make Race, If We Pick The Let's Say The 69 Camaro That Will Be What Car We'll Have For That Race

Anyone have any pointers for suzuka in the nissan? I've been practicing assuming it will still be there next sunday. The absolute best I've managed is a 2:15.6 using a ds3 but that was pushing insanely hard and a little lucky. My average is more around 2:16.5-2:18.0 and thats still pushing too hard and risking too many mistakes for racing. I figure I've gotta be missing a better braking point or line somewhere that can make 2:16's more repeatable with out grinding my teeth the whole lap.

Maybe a practice room sometime tonight and one of you top dogs can drag me around on a leash? :)

D2 Pics (minus Brands Hatch cuz the replays are busted)

I think all the eggs broke on the landing...cleaning bill will be huge.

I wanted to say great racing to all. Was a fun night.

I also wanted to address someone's threats to quit after the Deep Forest rounds. The in game chat excuses were bad driving by others. After watching the replays all of his crashes were self inflicted. Please don't threaten to leave by saying others are driving badly when the replays show the opposite.

Other than than...great night. Was going to post more pics but the Rocket replays are broken.

That combo looks like it won't be there so no real use practicing that one. The car or the track will probably be changed

But if you want pointers you should probably name a specific corner(s) or have someone fast go out on track with you.

Nice pics @JoeW!

That first Suzuka race has me seriously considering getting my PVR all set back up. On the final lap, @nmcp1 and I went side-by-side through 130R without touching. It was completely epic, but slowed us down enough for @JLBowler to pass both of us on the straight before the chicane. What a race.

I think I'm loosing speed going all the waydown into second in corner 9. I feel like I should be able to keep it in 3rd but get scared of running off coming downhill. Shifting from 2nd into 3rd after that corner feels really lethargic.
Also exiting spoon (turn 14). I often over cook it and go wide but feel like I'm losing too much speed if I try to hold it in tight.
Casino triangle chicane at the end is a week point simply because I'm too inconsistant there. I cant seem to get a feel for the braking point or a line that doesnt risk over cutting the corners.

Iroc Theme Mostly... Do Most Of The Muscle Cars From The 69 Camaro RM Too Some Of The Vipers At The oval track As Well road courses, With Some But Not Much Of Tunning
Cuz It's A Drivers Race, So Tires And Arrow
Set Up I'm Thinking And Set A HP That
Everyone Needs Too Meet As Well As Wight That Needs Too Be Met

You do know the International Race Of CHampions every one has the same exact car right? It was a series to compare motorsports drivers to each other.

I'm not expert and someone faster than me will have a better way of going about it but I do downshift to 2nd at corner 9. Really use the curbing there.

I think it's best to get tight in turn 14. At entry you will feel like you're going too slow but since it's an off camber exit you need that extra lateral space allowed by taking it a little slower and tighter.

For the chicane I try to brake right at the last distance marker. I mean don't cut the corners completely but the curbing is there and should be used...

Again, this is all coming from an average driver, so take that with a grain of salt. The fast guys will school both of us!

someone With Know how... Help! Look At This For An Idea And Help Me Set This Up For Gt For Fridays... I've Been Thinking And Gettin No Where With It. Thanks

I've suggested several times on here in trying to get something like this up and running given it never got off the ground due to the silly glitch that had some people driving at half speed while others were romping around some 50mph higher than what they should be.

I even went so far as doing a comparison with the Camaro and Mustang using those specs on GT6 recently....keeping the gearbox stock and with no tuning for the diff or suspension there's only about a tenth difference between them around Daytona. But no one else has been interested when I've bought it up.

JoeW,

Sucks your rocket replays did not work. Some great pictures and would love to get to use one in the banners. If combo 1 survives

You will not use “textspeak” (“r”, “u”, “plz”, etc.) in your messages. Decent grammar is expected at all times, including proper usage of capital letters.

That's the second bullet point taken from this document: https://www.gtplanet.net/aup/ It's kind of important around here.

Have the new combo's been picked yet?

Results haven't even been finalized at this point. Watch this post: https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/thre...rg-racing-schools-spots-open.235094/page-1494 or another post from zer05ive with results from Sunday night. If that fails, look at the first page, second post. You can probably look that up faster than you can type the question.

Yeah thats around daytona get them on a roadcourse and I have seen 2-3 sec differences in lap times.

I t seem zero is quite busy. I moved the D1 results to the directors sheet. It ssem the WC holds the voting. Given the number of votes to break the tie for prize b the combo's can be chosen.

FT1 part II:
I joined that guy Spiffy's room and did the first miles with the car. They were racing in sports hard tires and I felt a bit disappointed as the car was slipping and sliding all over the place. It's power and weight definitely don't fit in those tires and throttle control, turning speed and breaking balancing became an apocalyptic mission. Then I opened a room and tested it in SS tires at Daytona Road Course, Madrid and Deep Forest. It's a totally different gig. Now the car is absolutely fun to drive, very responsive and pretty easy to control and to play with.
Btw, same thing applies for the new NSX. Fabulous car.

Any ideas on how far off the dodge is? Tomorrow I could probably pony up some time to test out some variety of cars and toss about ideas.

Agree, the seasonal for the ft1 requires SH and is obnoxious as a result. Managed to get within half a second of gold first try then spent 5 laps sliding all over the place like some sort of drunken drift driver. Said screw this, turned on srf and finished it and have no desire to ever drive that car on SHs again. Just messing around on SS was pretty nice though..

My phone gets stupid with GTP too!!! Questions site security compulsively, the gap between typing and words actually appear on the screen gets over 20 seconds sometimes, reply a post is an open door for a nervous breakdown... That's why I'm always far out from whats discussing most of the times... I rather wait to get home and use the laptop.

Still no results?

Sorry guys, it's been a long day at the office and I just got home.

The results from Sunday have been posted here.

Please note that the Prize A winner is from D7, but D7 is not listed on the results.

@kcheeb, can you please update the Weekly Report doc so that the it pulls the D7 results as well?

Also, will try to see if there's a way to integrate the WC division into the results post as well. However, their votes this week did not change the results of the elimination vote (although they did make the vote a little closer).
