@NevilleNobody , if it's any consolation I too struggle with the NSX. I certainly did last week at the Glen and I didn't find it much better today at TM. It's the same with the BRZ in Gr3, I just cannot get on with it no matter what I try yet it is by far the quickest car for that race. I did give some time watching Digit on his live stream earlier and the way he drives it is completely alien to me. In real life you would not be double shifting constantly to stop the tendency for oversteer and I think that is where our problem lies. We are trying too hard to drive it as we would in real life instead of accepting that it's a game and we can 'cheat' our way around the problems. If that makes sense 🤔🤔

Managed to squeeze in today Daily Race A, B, & C, but the highlight for me was Race B at Trial Mountain!

Logged onto this sport race at about 10ish and did some times and my practices were quite good pacing with the NSX. Couple of secs quicker than buddy @Gorefast so I knew I was speedy enuff hehe. Grid position was 3rd place to start!

Race started off good rolling not grid start, sped off the line and chased an Alfa 4c the first few corners a bit smooth, but some light bumps in the tunnel, 1st lap kept it strong in 3rd place, pushing the NSX hard to keep the flow going and chase the two leaders of a Huracan and 4C. Little bump drafting on lap 2, as for the last two laps were momentous and can be seen in the replay video below.
The alfa driver was very bumpy & skittish and started scrapping on the last lap, helped me gain momentum to pass him as he also occured a half second penalty, so I chased the leader on the last two corners, leading to a tight finish in 2nd place, so not bad considering.

I understand what you are saying but I think the nsx is stable enough not to need too many video game spams to make it work. I too am a little put off by guys shifting down to 1st on a corner they can take in third then spam shifting up to 4th on exit but tbh I don't think that needs to happen with the nsx at TM. For me there's four cars that I can work with, one is far more likely to light up the rears on me than the other three.

I do like TM though, maybe could do without that last chicane, a more traditional corner would be better but otherwise it's a fun track and good racing in the right rooms. I'll do a few races soon as the Mrs settles in Mr Merlot.

EDIT: So put together a good lap and qualified with a 2.00.6, this is competitive in B/S rooms. First race I tried hard after starting P2 but just couldn't quite get close enough to the leader to make a safe pass. So result there was....

Tried again and landed on pole with a Veyron behind me. They are very hard to race as they as so fast on the straights. Made a few small errors on lap 1 and he passed me, annoying but i felt I'd get a chance. Settled in, head down, rear end up and found my pace.

I get a great run onto the back straight, I stay as close as I can and take the inside line, hit the brakes a touch early as i was carrying more speed from the slipstream. To me he turns in without giving me a lane to work with, he was not happy in the chat but looking at the replay I felt I had a right to be where I was and would have made the apex quite tightly tbh.

Here's the video, you need to ffwd a bit. I show the incident in 3 views, I use bonnet view.

In the end my first win with a wheel after getting my rig over xmas and really struggling to adapt from the 1997 dpad style I had. It feels natural now but much improvement to be had.

@NevilleNobody Congrats on the win just now - I was in that race too, though I finished down around 5th (but came from further back). You’re making that Nissan work well for you there 👍
Thanks. Car feels good, especially through the final chicane and onto the straight where I usually lose time but I can get this car to tuck it's nose in.

Just watched my version of that race replay and I don’t think you did anything wrong. He moved to defend once he saw you were going down the inside and that was too late to do that - contact was then inevitable. Funnily enough, I already have that guy blocked as I’ve found him to be problematic in the past.

No one try the SF at Suzuka for daily A yet?

There was no one on my friends LB but I had a bit of QT session. Got into the top 1000 globally, so that’s reasonable right?

I’d love to race f1 cars in GT but I just think I’d be any good and the grid would pass be by! That would need serious time practice so I tend to leave them alone, I’d do some TT or daily challenges.

Good work though, that’s impressive 😁

I tried Daily Race A it was chaos, with a bad punt to me by a bad racer in an ugly bright neon green livery. But the racing got better the second time round and much more fun! Myabe I will uplaod a clip not sure.

Second race I faired better and got 4th place, was intense racing with a ferrari lookin livery racer and we battled for 3rd place! Top Stuff!

All I say is never undersestimate Suzuka race course!

They are hard going 🙈 Only did 6 laps and I'm dizzy from it 🤣🤣. 970th I could go quicker but I'm just after getting home from work and I'm tired 😫

Edit:
I decided to try 1 race, my first in a SF car....it went quite well I think 🤔 😅.

That is a 1 time only affair, I actually don't enjoy formula cars at all, I even avoid them on iRacing too.

Racking up them wins I see! 😁

I am seeing lean times on that front since I’m at the top of BS and with the new physics

Tidgney, What do you set the brake bias at in the SF23?

Your videos always gain me several seconds from just watching. Thank you

I am trying my hardest to be a better driver, I have been guilty of letting emotions get the better of me and my DR/SR tanked as a result. Hopefully there is a bit of improvement happening now. To be perfectly honest outside problems do influence what we do and how we behave on this game and I personally have had a rough few months but all is good now and that is starting to creep in to my game play. I know I am quite capable of running at high B/S, it will just take a while to get back there 👍👍👍

Well I've not raced for ages, but 3 Race Bs was enough for me for the week - need to be in the 1:58s to be near the front. Filthy at the back, but I may at least have some footage for @Tidgney 🤣 I think Gr4 just has too much grip, or needs splitting in to different categories.

On the plus side, I had two wins at Suzuka and stand a chance of a top 6 finish on C.

Got my eye in a few races yesterday at Suzuka... Starting from the back to see how the field pans out (didn't really see the point stressing on a quali time just to be totally outshot by people who know what they're doing). Impressively, they were mostly A/S with a couple of B/S thrown in, which is what I would expect at my low-A rating.

I learnt some useful lessons watching the field pan out, namely how brave you be through the two Degners! You really have to strap on your big boy trousers for those!!

The race ethos was exemplified during the post race comments with things like "thanks for being cooperative", and various apologies for bad judgment.

Hopefully I've found my happy place for the week.

Don't typically go racing on Monday but was feeling confident and had time so off to TM it was.

Pulled off a rare hat-trick and added three to the 'W' column early on. Took a break for a couple hours and came back to much tougher lobbies so couldn't recreate that glory but still managed to keep it top 5 for the rest of the night.

The flag to finish runs were a nice reprieve, tbh. Being in the mix is great, and largely preferred, but sometimes you just want to head off into the sunset and enjoy some decent laps with a trail of cars well behind you.😁

It's not the 15 second clubbing that @Tazzy-91 unleashed on their rivals, but it was plenty of room to breathe and enjoy a spirited drive through the woods.🤣

I used +2.

I found to make it more drivable, I adjusted my controller settings to make the wheel less sensitive. I think I dropped it to like a 5 or 6 from 10. 1 was too slow but 10 too twitchy.

Good showing! Yeah, you really have to train your brain to react at those speeds.

First time I I’m not using brakes! First Degner I just ease off the throttle at the 50 marker, downshift and turn. Then power for a bit and half way to the next Degner then rapid down shift to 2nd, turn and upside to 3rd at the apex.

I also found I’m more consistent and faster overall south TCS2 over TCS1.

I use +5 in the SF23 to dial out some of the understeer, it does feel a lot better since they made the controller tweaks a couple of updates ago. It's not equal to the wheels yet but it is a big improvement when high downforce cars used to struggle.

This was a fun race from last night in America:

The slipstream is a bit silly since you're getting a tow from 2 seconds back and no dirty air, it's not realistic in the slightest but it does make for an exciting race.

To be fair I found him very clean when he was behind me, he did not hit me on lap one when as per usual I am too conservative through the first sector on lap 1. I am not sure he defended as much as tried to take his racing line, problem is I was there and looking at it again I suspect the Veyron may need to brake a touch earlier as it is heavy. I definitely hit my mark, I would have made my apex and felt I deserved a bit of room. I wish we didn't clash as i wanted that first wheel win to be clean.

On another topic, the 90 degree left coming down the hill, before the chicane, are you guys taking the traditional "short" line or squaring it up a touch to get on the throttle harder?

I always go for late apex there, it gives me a better feeling and there's less risk to be too wide at exit, allowing to carrie more speed out of the corner.

When i am in a AWD or FR i am squaring it, with the MR the short line. (I use Controller)

I wanted to ask , if this is a new feature... I overturned /rolled over my G70 at TM. I cant remember , that any crashing on Gran Turismo was spectaculer, but yesterday, i ran full speed through T1 and by cutting next right turn, i lifted off like Major Tom and landed on the roof on the left side of the track, it was immediately turned round. it realy looked like it wasnt suppose to happen.

My time at TM - 2.02.401 Genesis
i only did 3 Laps at Laguna 1:25.xxx R.S.01
but i had my 126th win yesterday. (but more than 4100 races , lol)

How are you guys running the GT-R gr.4 breaking balance? They made the G70 feeling heavier than before. And i have 2 nice looking GT-R´s. To me , the Lancer is also not a nice ride at TM. You think you got this corner really go oh oooohhh *hit the wall because of unpredictable understeer.
