INTEREST CHECK​

It's been almost a year since we moved the league to an earlier start time and so it's been almost a year since I've raced on Sunday night. Therefore, I've been kicking around an idea for a new S.N.A.I.L. event that would work with my schedule better. I'm tentatively calling it "Mystic" racing, which is a playful acronym of the two core principles of this potential event - Mystery and Stick Shifting.

What's the word on the mystic race deal?
If it's gonna happen tonight, what time?

Mine is 227/434. There's a glitch in the Matrix.

I have the same HP227 - PP434 for the Golf

Interesting. I'd done a chassis refresh and engine rebuild, which is supposed to wash the car and change the oil. Just went and did the straight up oil change and poof. Now I get 227HP/434PP.

Even more interesting. I'd done the same exact thing to the Datsun and it didn't change after the straight up oil change. Still 520/568.

Lots of good discussion regarding the thread an potential website. My wife has been waiting patiently for me to finish catching up on the thread so we can leave for dinner, so I won't be able to reply in detail until later. In the meantime..

What's the word on the mystic race deal?

I wasn't planning on starting it tonight, but if there's enough interest I say we try to make it happen..

Who wants to try Mystic Racing tonight?! Please post if you do and also state what one hour time slot works for you. I prefer later as I won't even be at home for the next couple of hours.

We would love to have you in the league. Here's what you need to know and do in order to join:

We run a clean league by enforcing a strict penalty system based on the S.N.A.I.L. OLR (which is a modified version of the GTP OLR). We also expect all of our drivers to know and follow The Good Racecraft Guide.
Please become versed in both if you aren't already. Once that is complete, please follow the steps below to complete your entry into the league:

1. You take the S.N.A.I.L. OLR and Racecraft Test

2. You run the Time Trial and submit your information by midnight EST on Saturday night if you want to race this Sunday.

3. @JLBowler PM's you with your assigned Division that we feel will give you the closest competition. You will be added to the drivers list.

4. The Race Director or Primary Host from the corresponding SNAIL Division will send you a PSN friend request. Sunday night you will need to sort the online lobbies by friends and join the lobby named 'snailracing.org Division_(x) based off your Division placement from JLBowler. That lobby will be where you race Sunday.

5. You drive fast and clean on Sunday 👍

The original post has everything you need to know about what to expect on Sunday night and what you will need to have completed in order to be competitive. If you have any questions, please feel free to post your question on the thread.

If you have a preference for car/wheel colour and racing number, please follow the instruction contained here.

Unfortunately I don't have anywhere to mount my shifter in my dorm room setup. Yet. But I'm moving out of the dorms and into a house next semester, so then I'm gonna build a bad-ass permanent setup.
