Since these are all 0 miles, they should start at 598 before oil change. I thought it was 605 after, but I could be remembering it wrong.

With all the other people cheering for this, I'm going to go ahead and break the trend.

I don't think you'll get more than 4 or 5 PP from a standard zero mile car after oil change.

There will be, tcrash/fzappa will be hosting in an open lobby. He'll post in this thread the room number.

Jump in and get your feet wet :)

I normally open the room about 10 minutes before 7pm PST.
See everyone then!

Room number will posted on this thread.

Track: Tokyo R246 Reverse
Car: Corvette Z06 (C2) Race Car 1963
Car can be bought from OCD. Since it just changed last week, we still have it till next week.

I'm picking Prize B - Car Change

Dodge Viper SRT10 ACR `08

Thanks for announcing the Prize A and Prize B selections so quickly! It's especially helpful because of the delay in the making the D1 podium official. This should give everyone enough time to break-in their Viper and get an oil change on both the Viper and the Corvette in time for tonight's unofficial/practice races. 👍

I've updated the lineup with these new cars and track. Please let me know if anyone sees any errors. :scared:

Magic Lap again this Friday! Here's the details:

The next set of races will be Friday, June 15th, at 10PM EDT.

Theme: British Classics - A chance to drive the British cars that made automotive history, from the Jaguar E-Type to the Lotus Elise. Choose anything you think is significant, which in GT5 is pretty much every British car. Perhaps avoid the Vauxhalls.

Track: Top Gear Test Track
Car Restriction: Origin - UK

It's funny. In the two changed events we went from 4.3 combined liters (262 c.i.) of displacement and 367 horsepower to 14.2 liters (866 c.i.) and 1248 horsepower (before breaking in the Viper).

Yeah, D3 will be ridiculous this week.

Hey, last night was awesome. Sorry to everyone that missed it. We had lots of very close racing. The Megane was a blast. I feel kind of sorry for those that took the Volvo. I'm going to try and upload the replays. They may be useful for anyone wanting to put together any SNAIL related videos.

BTW, cheeb, mind if I steal some of your work and hijack your google doc points sheet? You are a formula writing god, and I am humbled.

I don't mind at all, if you're talking about the weekly Sunday sheet we use, that'd be Vol's work. Although I'm not too far behind him :)

Wait til you see what I've got cooking numbers-wise, gonna be samokin'

I would like to join

Hey fastzxr,

Consider yourself a member :)

We run a clean league by enforcing the GTP OLR and we highly encourage all of our drivers to know and follow The Good Racecraft Guide. Please become familiar with both.

I'll add you to the drivers list, you'll be starting in Division 3. If you can't make it on a Sunday, please be sure to give us at least 24 hours notice by posting in this forum, it makes things much simpler for us, thanks.

PSN friend requests will be sent to you from SNAIL_Division1, SNAIL_Division2 and SNAIL_Division3. Their lounges are where we race Sunday night and hold our various events. Here's a breakdown of the ways we use the lounges.

During the week we run a number of different events feel free to jump in and partake!

The original post also has a lot of information regarding the league, commit it to memory ;)

Welcome aboard and enjoy :)

Hey guys, it looks unlikely that I'll be able to make it for the races on the 17th, as I'll be 2 hours away at my brother's commencement until just about 2 hours before the race. It would be best to cross me off the list for this week. Thanks.

I am in my last 2 days of the dog'n pony show of ending sixth grade. Won't be on much Thursday or Friday. I will be sure to have Bob get the cars burned in.

Summer awaits. =};-{D#

Hey all !! Just wanted to know if it's ever o.k. to join in weekday races a little late...maybe start in last place? I'm trying to level up my b-spec to 25 so I can get the Grand Valley 600km endurance race for breaking in my cars and noticed D3 is online.

-Handlebar- didn't know we lived so close!

It should be no problem to join late, it's just practice, no one takes it too serious with respect to starting position etc. Everyone races for sure, but starting position is not a huge priority.

Grand Valley 300 Km, I think. 600 is way too much.

Send a FR to a_garris and share your Bobs and I'll run them some.

I cannot race on Sundays just yet is it ok to just race during the week im still new to online racing

no problem, I'll move you to the associate SNAIL section. Just let us know when you'd like to drive Sundays.

I'm in the process of moving from an apartment to a house and haven't scheduled for internet to be installed yet. So I'll sadly be missing out on Torque Sunday.

Someone here recommended to me the game Enthusia Professional Racing (PS2). After reading all the great reviews I decided this was a game worth adding to my collection and ordered it on Ebay. Apparently it was ahead of it's time as their physics programmer was hired by PD for GT5. Sounds like this is a classic everyone should have in their collection.

It's true that the physic is awesome...(I still own that game 👍).
This game went under radar....It was released like 2 or 3 months after gt4 (not good for the sales i'm sure) and 2005 was a big year for the ps2 (lots of good released).
GT4 : Better graphics , better career , hell of a lot more to do , a lot more cars.
Enthusia : more realistic driving , more fun in driving , faster loading time.
I quote this from youtube and it's true...Car physics/Sound/tire model are awesome. The driving part is great but the rest of the game is not as good as gran turismo unfortunately.
