Hard to get any IR when you're alone in front.
I have none :) ...yet. Only racing my 6th Sunday coming up. Hope I didn't jinx myself. If so I apologize in advance ;) Also, if I may be so bold, don't assume EVERYBODY is looking for help getting faster. Wait for someone to ask first. Free advice is usually worth what you pay for it. That, and the patience it takes to listen to it.

I'm just throwing this out there.

Last week I was practicing late at night. Xrad came into the room and just watched for a while and gave a few real time pointers, which I took in, and tried the next lap, and so on.

Then he took the track with me watching, or riding on board, if you will. All I can say is WOW, what a difference it made in my lap times. Sometimes I go off track because I'm pushing hard and doing things just a little to late. But when I do it like he showed me, I'm faster than I've ever been. Not to mention he taught me some downshifting techniques that I didn't know, nobody ever taught me. It meant the world and I've already seen a difference.

That was like, one hour, maybe.

Thanks again Xrad!

Yes I was there as well with Xrad and 10 mins and some VERY helpful pointers, I led the entire race last Sunday!. Then I spun 3/4 of the way trough the last lap!! Leading and feeling like I can "Keep up" has not even came close to happening for me in my short time in S.N.A.I.L but that's all it took to find time around the track!! I came in dead last, I was beyond mad but that was a HUGE step in the right direction moving forward.. The biggest thing I learned was you can be fast but you have to still be able to run a clean, flawless race from green to checkered to bring home the #1 spot..!! Working on that part still.. Baby Steps!!! Thanks again X...

I have a room open practicing the Skyline combo, I missed it in the practice session thanks to my PS3 locking up.

Closed now

No problem. I will post the update in a little while. Would be nice if can get feedback on the lap times

I would still think the 1:36 isn't too far wide of the mark. Maybe 1:37 would be a good average. In a Blue Room race last night times ran from Lloydz interstellar high 1:33s up to 1:37s at the back of the field. 1:46 in the Skyline looks ok as a decent Mid Division time.

I'm not at the speed of Lloydz or others like him, but I've tried to help people, only to see little effect. I think that it's to difficult to teach someone how to be faster when you can't meet them in person and be in the car with them.
Teaching is a skill. It comes naturally to some but most need to work at it in order to cultivate real ability. Klutch's race camps would be a good jumping-off point for you or any other potential teacher (sit in and steal whatever you think would work for you in your own race camp).

Please do share - I've only ever thought there was one way to downshift.

Great combos this week!

The Skyline: Momentum Momentum Momentum - You lose that - you pay. The car handles surprisingly good! Cherry on the pie... it came from D1!!

The Vantage: What a car! It teaches you patience... Over drive it - you pay

Senna - Love it or hate it - I love it. Hope it gets the second most elimination votes so we can take it to a new track

Friday means nothing. Just another day. Usually means it's busier in retail and grocery stores. I'm gonna be at work from 2-10. Yay.
